My new ped arrived at lunchtime so I have now done a count of
11250 - 6.29 miles... not for an afternoon!

My favourite pedometer is from weight watchers. A friend that is a member of WW got it for me after she was delighted with hers.

I wear my pedometer all day long and measure every step of the day - and suggest that you do too. Not just on exercise walks. Authorities recommend that we would benefit if we did 10,000 steps per day. If we only measure our exercise walks we do not know how we compare to that recommendation.

Tabitha - You are doing great. Good luck in your personal challenge. Did you know that there is a 10,000 steps challenge. I like to post there and honestly think that anyone who is aiming to get to around 10,000 should feel comfortable about posting there (whether or not they get to 10,000 on any specific day).

Alrighty. I've had so many horror stories with my past pedometers since I tried to join this thread when it first was created. Now I have two pedometers so I would like to start logging my steps again. lol

This week I want to hit 10,000 steps per day if not more. I want to lose three lbs by the third, and I know I'll have to be that active to do it. Wish me luck!!

Last week my average steps was 14,589. I want to beat my average this coming week. I've never been at so many steps before!! I want my average to hit 15,000, and stay there.
