PAULLLLLLLLLLA!!!! :grouphug:.....I LOVE YOU!!! I HOPE EVERYTHING COMES OUT WONDERFUL!!!! I'm ROOTING FOR YOU BABE!!! I can't wait to see the SMOKIN HOTNESS that is going out of you!!!!........:cheers2:....I hope you get tons of rest and UPDATE PLEASE!!!!

I think there's a lot of recovery and swelling to go down before ya really know Alta. I was talking to her this morning. She said about 2-3 days till shes back on her feet. About a week before she can work, and about six weeks before she can get back in the gym.

ooooh.....LONGER than I thought!!!....WELL worth it though, well worth it!

Hey Everyone!

Paula wanted to let you all know that the surgery went well, and she is at home resting in bed. The pain medication is working well and she said it isn't as painful and she thought it would be.

Thats good news!

I'll keep ya posted.

Hey all! FIRST OF ALL, THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR CONCERN! It was so nice to get on here and see that people were thinking about me! I'm doing really well.
Mac was correct. I'm not supposed to go back to work for 2 weeks after surgery and then no exercise for 4 more weeks after that... BUT I'm healing really well. I actually got my drain out on Friday which was pretty fast and I'm standing almost straight already. I'll be honest, my ACL, miniscus, and medial patellar reconstruction was WAY worse!

My stomach is noticably flatter even as swollen as it is and I have an "innie" for the first time in 13 years! I'm really excited to see how it looks once the swelling goes down! I think once I'm able to workout, I'm going to be obsessed with getting a six-pack lol.

I don't want to post pics yet cuz it's still pretty swollen and the scar is ugly but I will post pics soon.

Well, I basically slept the entire week away so I've got a lot of catching up to do on all of your diaries so off I go.... thanks again for all the concern! :D

Thanks Korrie! I can't wait to POST pics! The doctor said the seperation was pretty severe so it's a noticable difference already even with all the swelling. I will try to listen to the doctor. ;) I will take it easy for the next week and see how I feel. I know I don't want to do too much to soon and mess up what's been fixed but at the same time, I only have 12 weeks until Vegas and I think I should be able to lightly work my arms and legs in a couple of weeks... maybe... we'll see. :)

I'm so glad it went well for ya. When I get smaller I wanna have a hot stomach too. To many years of baggy shirts for me! Glad your back, we've missed ya :)

Thanx Jess, missed you too... and I see in your diary that you're down! YOU GO GIRL!!!

Glad to hear that everything went well. Rest for now because when the doc say go, I don't see you stopping for anyone.

Yay :hurray: I'm so glad you're doing good. So not as bad as you thought huh? Well just remember even though you don't feel that bad, you try to do to much before the Dr. gives his ok, you can really hurt yourself. I can't wait to see the results girl. This is so exciting. Take care of yourself and we will all be thinking about you. xoxo

Thanks LeeLee!

Well, I'm now on day 6 of laying in bed (with the exception of the occasional bathroom trip) and I think I'm going to go nuts! Basically just depressed... I know that sounds so stupid because I wanted this so bad but you all are working so hard to look great in Vegas and I'm sitting on my ass and can't do anything to improve myself.
My stomach pain is minimal but both of my arms are sore from doing all the lifting and pulling this past week... they just ache lol and I actually think I pulled something in my left wrist...
Anyway, I've been sleeping a lot and doing a lot of research to pass the time. I've come up with a plan:
  • Aug 19th (1 week post surgery) Back to work, focus on a low carb, low calorie diet since I can't do any kind of training yet.
  • Sept 2nd (3 weeks post surgery) Start doing light cardio work (walking).
  • Sept 23th (6 weeks post surgery) Start weight training but no ab training
  • Oct 7th(8 weeks post surgery) Start ab training
  • Nov 7th Vegas (12 weeks post surgery)
So that gives me 11 weeks of dieting, 9 weeks of cardio, 6 weeks of weight training and 4 weeks of ab training... feel like it's not going to make a big enough difference to matter... but that's the plan :(
