Well I hope you two got your Idol fix for the evening!! :D I setteled for some NCIS then bed!

Ok Paula, hope you were able to do some stepping during the show, since you ditched us in chat just for that! :p Ok.. not going to get into Dr. Seuss rhyming here! Hope your Wednesday is going smoothly so far!! :)

Good morning and thanks guys! I got up and did cardio this morning so I'm feeling good. Hopefully the cravings won't be so bad today... only three days til I get a treat! :D
 
YAY Paula!! Couple more days.. you can do this! Get out that chewing gum for those cravings.. :) or "imagine" those yummy food items as SOMETHING else. ;) (aka, liquid fat, doggy droppings.. ;) )
 
Kate, I must confess... I've never watched Biggest Loser. :rolleyes:
And while I'm in the confession booth (whatever you call it), I must also confess that I stood on the scale today! So much for waiting six weeks! But I went three days and that's a start right? Anyway, I'm down to 150.4 (singing "Oh Happy Day")!
I decided to put the ticker back up too... I like seeing that I only have 15 pounds to go! Although I must confess (man, I'm doing a lot of that today) that I don't honestly see how 15 more pounds is going to be enough. I know that's what I weighed in my "before" pics but it just doesn't feel like I'm going to look that good again just by losing a measly 15 pounds... might have to change my goal once I reach 135... we'll see.
 
Paula, didnt you ever hear of the paper towel syndrome?

Think about it...when ya first start taking layers(fat)off the paper roll, it still looks big..but..as you get closer to the center, those layer being peeled start to really show difference. Its one of my favorite analogies! Youre starting into the last few papertowel rolls girl! Youll look that good, if not better!
 
See, that's why I love ya Kate! ;) I hope you're right because I've lost almost twenty pounds and no one has noticed (except those that know I'm working at it). I guess that's why I figure 15 more isn't going to make that much difference... but if you say I'm into the last few papertowels, I'm gonna believe ya! :D

Seriously though, the paper towel analogy, I love it! I have never heard that either! And I think it is a very accurate way of describing it ! :D So don't despair girl you will get there!

As for those who have not noticed, I certainly hope you're not expecting those munchkins in school to be the observant ones of your weight-loss. :D I recommend going out with some girlfriends in the near future, I imagine they may say something. Plus besides, some people are very careful to mention weight around others, as it could be one thing that easily offends someone. So maybe that is why people aren't speaking up. ;) Just another perspective for you! :D

Oh and you HAVE to check out biggest loser. It is SO motivating!! :cool:
 
Now Dana, you know I listen to you above everyone! LOL! And no I'm not counting on the little ones to tell me... just surprised friends or family haven't really come right out and said anything... but maybe you're right, they just don't want to say, "My, you're not looking as fat as you used to!" ;)

That is so awesome Dana! Congrats and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I got up and did my cardio this morning. Feeling really positive right now... just keeping the whole "paper towel analogy" in the front of my head. :) I think I really am to the bottom half of the roll where the weight loss is going to really start showing and I can't wait to get there!
Plus I've already surpassed my weight loss goal for the week (I'm at 150) and JOSH COMES HOME TONIGHT so what don't I have to be happy about right!? :D

Oh yeah, I want to give a special "shout out" to NewLeaf for "sponsoring" me through a tough craving yesterday. I went shopping and was so tempted to eat bad things, that I felt like a recovering alcoholic in a liquor store! LOL! Anyway, she "talked me in off the ledge" and I am truly greatful! THANKS DANA!!! :D

Haha! :) You are more than welcome Paula!! :) Trust me, I've been on that ledge so many times and I am sure there will be moments in the future for me too! You've been a great support to me, so I am more than delighted to return the favor. Plus you have come so far, I don't want to see you slip now! ;)

Oh yes you have plenty to be happy with! For one thing you did your morning cardio, and from all the cleaning you told me about today, you have probably burned a plenty more calories too! Well deserving of your "family night"!! Enjoy it and Josh's company!

I need to get some phone numbers, so i can call some life lines when I'm about ready to fall off that ledge we all know so well. I'm glad to see NewLeaf helped you through that one. Too cute.
