hey dreamskr, it's 6am in the morning, i have already gone to the gym this mornin and now i'm at work WAY too early. but i'm not really that happy- my boyfriend is initiating into a frat (dont worry its a lame frat) but he's not here-it's rediculously stressful-so i TOTALLY understand because at about 2 am this morning i ate half a bowl of chili and corn= 500 cals....but i got strong and threw away the other half of the bowl. why i did this is cause i didnt want to be thrown back into the guilt trip cycle...i'm sure you know what i'm talkin bout--but i just wanted to drop by and tell ya that you shouldnt let the past few days or weeks let you down--start again--what's the worst that could happen??? you stay the same weight?!

Update

As you may have guessed I got caught up in eating whatever again...I'm the sort of person that when I get really busy I forget to eat (literally for 2 days this time) or else I eat whatever snack I can find as I don't cook much. I don't like cooking but know I have to start in order to lose weight. I have no idea where I am in weight. I haven't been keeping track but I know it's higher than before Nov. 1, lower than in the beginning. I'm sick right now so I'll use this opportunity to eat well.

This feels almost impossible to work and have a life and lose weight...I'm discouraged.
 
Wow! A lot has changed since this last post. I've gained 25 lbs but I'm also a new mommy. I became pregnant Dec. 15 so I'm glad I my motivation for cutting back on the calories was low then!

After being pregnant and having reduced mobility I am so motivated to lose weight! I'm sort of just getting prepared to start changing some habits.

Glad to see so many of you sticking to it!
 
Well I've finally lost some weight. I checked the scale and 7 lbs are gone! :cheers2: I still have a LOT to go after quitting smoking and having a baby. Looking at the photos here gives me motivation as so many on here have lost weight. It's good to see that it CAN happen.

I'm trying to cut back on sugar. That is the hardest part for me. I found some desert favourites in the pudding section...these are great! 120 calories for smores or lemon meringue. :) Breads and pasta hae been easy to cut back on. For breaskfast I eat an egg sandwich on whole grain and dinner I usually have meat and veggies and thats it. During the day I also snack on veggies and fruit. I want to eliminate coffee from my diet because of the sugar but mostly because I am breastfeeding and feel guilty about it (though I'm allowed some).

Eliminating alcohol since I've been pregnant has been a GREAT change for me. I found after a few glasses of wine I used to pig out. What I've learned mostly is that I have to keep this realistic as I'm in this for the long haul.

I'm hiring a personal trainer soon. Can't wait.
