Hey everyone,
I've just posted on Holly88's diary and brought up something that gave me a bit of inspiration for a post. I want to talk about the things that really get to me about being overweight and in turn, the difference it would make to my life to rid myself of these issues.
1. My arms. This is what I wrote about to Holly. I have huge upper arms, really flabby and just huge. The worst thing about this is summertime, when all I want to wear is a vest top or summer dress. I don't want to wear a cardigan when it's hot. However I have to, there's not a chance I'd go out without one. It's a small thing but I realised just now quite how much it affects my life. I own about 10 cardy's, most tops I buy have sleeves and I often find that I can't buy shirts or whatever that would otherwise fit, as they can't fit over my upper arms.
2. Thighs. This isn't a vanity issue so much as a physical one. My upper legs rub together when I walk. I'm sure most overweight people have experienced this. How it manifests itself in my life...when I want to wear a dress I have to wear leggings or tights with support shorts thingy's. I don't EVER wear skirts (the current fashion is for short, tight skirts - big no-no) but I'd like to be able to wear a classic black shift dress to work with normal tights. I actually have one upstairs in a Primark size 18 which is realistically a size 16/17 and it is nowhere near fitting. But it's waiting for me when I do fit into it.
3. That gross bit of a ledge where your nicker line is...anyone? Just me? Ok.....lol. Nah I hope you all know what I mean. I can tell when I lose weight from my tummy just by looking at this ledge (btw...it's not huge, it doesn't overhang or anything lol) and I cannot wait for it to shrink and disappear.
Right that's enough for now, but I thought I'd put some pics up so you can gage what I look like. The first one was when I was 17 and a size 18 but with smaller arms and face. The second one is when I was 18 and pretty much the same size as I am now...5 years on. How depressing. And the third one is the most current...
