One step at a time...

Aww thanks tiktak...I know I didn't lose a huge amount this week but I have just come on TOM today so things always come to a grinding halt around this time anyway. And I was just so pleased to see that I was back to my pre-xmas weight. From now...the only way is up and that is a truly wonderful feeling.

Gymage tomorrow for second workout of c25k programme. Looking forward to it, can;t wait to get stronger and be able to run further without walking. Even to be able to run for 20 mins non stop would be a great achievement. I have decided though that I would love to be able to run the entire race for life...i.e. no walking. Big challenge but would be so so happy if I can do it x

Race for life! I've totally done two of these! Wow, awesome! Good for you hun :D Where are you doing it? My sister is doing one in July :D

Hey Mrs, Well done on your achievement it's so great when you can see your weight a pre something weight. I'm really happy for you. Keep up the good work.

Signed up for my 5k :0) It's on the 5th June. Not sure about it now though - i've just been for a bit of outdoor running and it was mega hard. On a treadmill i can run 13mins without stopping - tonight at outdoor running I was lucky if I managed 30secs - 40 at the absolute most. It's gonna be real hard eeeeeekkkkkkk!

Hey look, the idea of race for life to to raise money for charity. You can run, walk, skip, dance your way to the finish line if needs be. But...you have all the way til June to build up your stamina, I say just keep plugging away at it and eventually you'll yield results. I intend to start outdoor running once I can run 30 mins on the treadmill. Infact, the race for life track in right near my house so I'm just gonna run round that to see how it feel. But that is way ahead in the future, I'm no where near that standard yet.

Had an okay food day today, could have been better, could have been worse. I swear these mini 80cal marsbars are a life saver, haven't craved chocolate at all recently cos I've been getting my little fix. Wondering what to give up for lent as I like to challenge my willpower once a year hehe. I'd love to give up milk (obvious milk not milk powder or whatever) cos I consume too much of the white stuff but I think I would fail miserably lol. Anyone else giving up anything? x

I'm giving up the scale.
Not weighing in until Easter Sunday!!! :)
It's a HUGE deal for me, I've moved it out of the bathroom already so I'm not tempted in the morning.
Well done on the 5 though :D
You'll be in the 16s in no time at all!!!

Thanks red! I don't think I could give up the scale, besides...the spring challenge requires a weigh in every week and I definitely want to stick to that.

I've just been for my second run of the c25k. Without realising I walked and ran the first 15mins on intervals, ran some of it on a level 3 incline. Jeeeeeeez, that's not easy, kudos to people who run up hills. Anyway, I paused it, put it back down to level 1 and felt like I was running downhill. Sooo...for the remainding runs I put the speed up from 7k/m ph to 8k/m ph. This may not be fast for some people but it was for me, I felt like I was really going for it and boy did I sweat. Overall, a great workout...and a lovely nom yoghurt when I got back. nommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm indeed. haha X

Morrisons had Noms on sale a bit back I went through soooo many!!
I'm just going to wait and weigh in after a few weeks for the challenge. I'll still do the mini challenges though :)

It's rare for me not to post for 3 days..sorry folks. Just be busy with work and gyming and whatnot. On that note the runs are going well, finished with week one now so on Monday go to week two of the programme which involves a step up in the length of running and in turn, less walking. Boo hehe. It's been great so far though and it really helps with my stiff feet in the mornings (from being on them all day long at work each day). Definitely going to try and keep it up. Maintaining my weight at 17st5, but not losing any this week due to being on TOM, sorry males. Haha. Don't think that's too bad though, staying the same, hopefully next week I can drop a couple of pounds. Peace out lol x

Well a maintain is better than a gain!!
I had pizza last night, for no reason at all, I just wanted it... And then it became my TOM.. So I blame that for my pizza urge! :p
Don't you just love that we have a built in excuse for stalls and gains? :p

Great that you've stayed at 5 instead of it being a fluctuation, you'll be in the 16's in no time!
You're like a machine! You rule :D

I need somebody to come and slap me round the face please! I have eaten loads of chocolate the last few days, dunno whether it's TOM related or just a little drop in motivation but either way the scales are not amused with me lol. Currently reading 17st7 which means a gain of 2lbs this week. Not happy. I seem to go through peaks and troughs with my motivation and although I'm still motivated to do my running, the eating side is proving more tricky. Any suggestions to snap me out of it? x

Hey ladies, been away for a few days hence my period of silence. Ate loads, drank even more and have put on all my weight again haha. I know I should feel crap about it but I don't. I'm a bit annoyed at myself but I'll just get back on track. Running is going well, just the eating still. Tomorrow is a fresh start x

Hey Chick, what's happening how are you?
I've been out of the swing of things again - have been loaded with the cold/flu for nearly 2 weeks grrrrr so I've been awful - not working out just feeling sorry for myself and eating quite a lot of chocolate cos I lost my voice and my throat was aching and all i really wanted to do was eat chocolate - booooo! So I've been feeling awful, sluggish and bloated so I've taken 3days off work and got my ass back to the gym so I've been two days in a row doing runs. Yesterday I did a 5k and then 15mins on the cross trainer then today I had to give up at 3k although I did run some of it on an incline which is real hard! Then i did 20mins on the excercise bike.
Hope your ok chick, looking forward to hearing how your getting on xxx

Hey Pip! I'm sorry I've been away for a while again - but I've been really really busy lately! I hope that things are going well for you and I think I can say that we all miss you round here :D

On the radio the other day I heard an ad for race for life and immediately thought of you, I think you're so courageous to take it on. As a friend of mine once said "aim for the moon and you will land amongst the stars" :)
