One step at a time...

Your tattoo looks so awesome! Have you got it finished yet? :D I've been staying at home all toasty and warm during this "deep freeze" ahem... where I am there's only an inch or two!

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words about the tattoo. It's not fully healed yet, but will get it completed in the new year I imagine.

Lochmond, where the heck have you been? Stop disappearing on me....you have your orders lol.

Well, I've had a few days off the diet, no excuses. Like I said, I'm such an all or nothing girl that when I couldn't make it to the gym cos of my back being incredibly sore...I found it hard to keep up the healthy eating. But there we go, I've put 2lbs back on, could be a lot worse, I'll get rid of those in no time.

My back is fine now, so I'm going back to Bodypump on Wednesday which I'm excited for. Might even go to the gym tonight...we'll see. It's really super cold and icey/snowy here...so venturing out is not appealing to me right now lol. Catch you all later x

Thanks SoCo, I didn't feel so gutsy when I was wincing in pain lol. But I'm loving all the attention it's getting...everyone seems to love it nearly as much as me!

Yey lochmond...regular input, I love it. Haha, the days are short...I agree with you on that, especially now I get up in the dark and get home in the dark....very gloomy! How's your weightloss going hun? x

I never see daylight any more! By the time I get to work the sun is just rising and it sets even before I've left! It makes me feel so tired all the time :D

I'm doing ok, not going as fast as I used to, hopefully trying to lose 1lb a week but always putting it back on on the weekend lol!

Talk about regular input... TWICE in one day :D

Hey everyone, wow oh wow I have been working so much recently! I'm doing 50 hour weeks at the moment, constantly running around, never having more than 10 minute breaks. I did a 17 1/2 hr shift the other day, jeeeeeeez! I'm so tired at the moment, that in my spare time I am just relaxing, unwinding and resting my poor feet hehe. But every cloud has a silver lining and in this case there are two. 1. MONEY. I've done all my xmas shopping and wrapping which means that all this extra money can pay my overdraft off! YEY. 2. I'm inadvertently getting lots of exercise, meaning that the weight I put back on (only 2lbs) has gone again and I'm still eating whatever I want as I'm burning it off at work. SWEEEEET! I'm just not in the head space to be eating salads and working out, when all I can think of is christmas parties at work and busy busy busy. It's totally an excuse, but aslong as I don't put weight on over xmas, I'm okay with it.

How's everyone else doing?

p.s. tattoo is totally healed now, looks amazing, gonna book in for my birthday in Jan to get it finished. Whoop x

This morning has been a revelation. It all started yesterday when I went hunting for jeans, not to buy, but more to see where I am figure wise and what looks good. At my biggest I wore a size 24 jeans (US 28 I think). I hate admitting that, but it's in the past now right?
Anyway, I tried on five pairs of jeans from 2 different shops and all of them fit comfortably in a size 20. Not tight, no overhanging tummy and they looked good. Now, I've always had a bigger bottom half than the top, always had a small waist. So my thinking was...well if my bottom half is a size 20 now, then hopefully I'll be able to fit into the two size 18 dresses that are unforgiving and hidden away in my spare wardrobe.

One is a chocolate coloured silk, 1950's inspired dress that nips in at the waist and glides over hips (biggest bit). For the first time in 3 years (since I bought it) I can zip it up and it looks super cute. See pic on following post.
The other one is a ball gown, shift dress style, black with a full skirt with netting around the edge. Super elegant, only for a special occasion. Now, I'm excited to finally accept a friend's invitation to go to a ball next year so I can wear the dress, although hey, it might be too big by then hehe x

You look great and don't look anything like a size 18!!! Congrats you can look great over Christmas without even having to buy a new dress. I bet that you will find that the ball dress will need taking in by the time you need it. :)

Wow, it looks so nice :D I'm in an awkward phase where everything is too big for me and I've been this size for so many years I don't have any smaller clothes! But I'm not buying new clothes until I'm happy with my weight, so I'll be loping around for a while!

AWWWW thank you ladies, I truly wasn't expecting such a lovely reaction. The dress is from Laura Ashley as I used to work there. I think it might be an ever so slightly flattering picture lol but I do feel good. I can't wait to wear it out, I'm thinking for my birthday in January...maybe a couple more pounds off will make it EVEN nicer.

In other news, I broke my spell of no gyming this evening. I haven't been in a couple of weeks as my back was sore and I couldn't stretch it. That soon turned into laziness and you all know how easy it is to fall out of the exercise routine. Anyway, glad to be back...will try not to slip up again.

Once again thanks for the compliments xx

Well today has been....okayish. I rushed about this morning so had to eat brekky at work so had a mini full english, just a little bit of everything on a side plate. No lunch as was very busy at work through the lunch period. Then tonight went for a take away and dvd night at a friends....I had 4 slices of pizza. Ok so not that great but there we go, not too much harm done and I'm off to the gym in the morning so will make up for it. Determined to have a really good day tomorrow and a good weekend. Wanna see 2lbs off by next weekend, I've been yo-yoing around this weight for a few weeks, it's time to get past it! Motivated or what?
