One step at a time...

Great attitude chubbygirl! Glad we share it...I swear tomorrow is gonna be the best day ever...exercise and good food...feel like I let myself down a tad today, but onwards and upwards x

Afternoon ladies,

Today thus far has looked as follows:

Breakfast: 30g frosties (113cals) + small amount of semi skimmed milk
Lunch: Salad bowl from a sandwich bar (guess - 500cals)
Dinner: Cheese (small amount) and Mushroom Omellette and salad

Exercise: 30min dog walk (hilly) and 1hr Legs, Bums and Tums class (OUCH).
I'm considering going for a jog later at the gym, but I fear now that I'm in the warm and once I get some food in my tummy my resolve will weaken lol.

The lbt class was good and I certainly hurt whilst doing it. However, I couldn't help but feel that it didn't warrant a whole class and that instead, I'd take some of the moves and incorporate them into my post workout matt session. This already includes some fitball exercises and my cool down stretches, so I figured I'd add some of the leg work and some ab curls into the routine and see how that goes instead.

Back to work tomorrow, boo! I've enjoyed these two days off in a row, I never get that in this line of work. Hope everyone else is doing ok xx

Well I woke up this morning and weighed myself and am frustrated to find out that my weight is not lowering. I'm not sure why this is as my eating is much better and I'm exercising. However, I'm starting to get more interested in the nutritional aspect of a healthy lifestyle and am starting to understand that there are so many things that can scupper your loss such as sodium intake etc. I'm going to continue to look into these sorts of things and maybe even buy a book on nutrition. I'm already noticing that I'm steering away from processed foods as I watch this programme on sky called X-Weighted and the trainer on there Paul Plakas is super strict about additives and flavourings and such. Natural foods are the way forward, but it's a huge change to my lifestyle, and it's daunting to say the least.

Gym tonight...give it all I can x

Got back from the gym about an hour or so ago and have had a lovely long hot bath to relax my muscles...and my mind after a long day. The gym was great...I ran on the treadmill for 5mins, followed by 2 min walk, followed by 2 min faster run and finally made it to 20 mins with an incredibly fast walk. I walked/ran 2km which doesn't sound far but it's a start and I have an aqful lot of weight to be lumping around with me! I then went on the exercise bikes for 15mins on level 5, followed by weights and a matt session (where I used my legs, bums and tums moves from yesterday...whoop).

I also had a little go on the power plate (the vibrating thing). Have any of you ever been on one? It was the strangest thing, I felt like my brain was vibrating through my skull. Not an enjoyable experience to say the least lol. Not one I'd recommend! Anyway, gonna weigh in as usual in the morning, really hoping to see 1lb loss now, so I can finally change my ticker! x

Wahoooooooooooooooooooooo! Changed my ticker for the first time in ages, ages, AGES!

Gotta go to work now, but gym again this evening! Go me! x

Yay! Ticker change! And more importantly - Pip is a lb lighter!

Keep it up and you'll have another one off soon enough :)

I know what you mean about not just keeping calories down but also eating healthier. Some of the things I eat are healthy but cutting out processed foods altogether just feels impossible to me!! And yeah - sodium definitely makes a big difference.

Thank you Sunflower...I've seen you around the forum, thanks for stopping by.

Holly...my 'nutrition bible' or so they call it is winging it's way here as we speak. I'm quite excited...*cough nerd cough*. Gym is shut!! Can't believe it, opens til 8pm on Sunday but only 6pm on Saturday, where is the sense in that? Saying that, I've had a megs busy day at work and did tonnes of walking and lifting so I feel ok about my spent effort today lol. Have a good one ladies...lets hope another couple of days will see another pound off! x

Well today was the test...the family lunch. I made sure I hit the gym this morning to make up for what was to come, in some small way anyway lol. It wasn't a long work out cos I had very limited time.

Lunch consisted of roast chicken (no skin), 3 tiny roasties, 2 tiny new potatoes, swede and carrot mash, cauliflower and dum dum dummmmmmm bread sauce (ouch).

Desert was pavlova (small-ish piece) with a splash of cream.

I'm officially not eating til tomorrow! X

Hey that doesn't sound too bad at all! I reckon I would have taken that opportunity to eat much more calorific foods than that - so well done for making a plan and sticking to it.

I'm going home this weekend - I hope I can take a leaf out of your book.

Has your nutrition bible arrived?

No not yet, grrr...hopefully tomorrow! Aww thanks for the kind words, have an amazing weekend at home. Yes, behave yourself missus, well, to an extent anyway xxxx

What a week...I've started seeing a new guy. It's going great so far and we have a couple of dates planned for this week so I'm a happy girl.

Also, got my tattoo yesterday...took 5 hours and still have another 30-40 mins to do (will go back in a few weeks). I can't bend much, it takes up about half my back (lower-mid) and I have a shift to do at 3pm. Argh! It was the most painful thing I've ever done. I don't think I'll be getting another one lol. Obviously, as I told you guys before...I had it done on my due date so that I didn't wallow too much. I was ok for the first 4 hours, lots of panting and biting my hoody. LOL. However, after 4 hours, the pain started to really get to me, I was painfully tired and drained...and the emotions started to come out. It was quite embarrassing, but I knew the tattooist so he knew the reasons why. I turned into a blubbering mess and we had to call it a day. I'm glad we did though...now I can go back for a final 30-40 minutes when I feel fresh and not in pain lol and put the finishing touches to it!

Having all this going on this week I haven't been to the gym as much as I'd like, did pump on wednesday though. Plus I've been with Dan, so that is nice hehe. Once my back doesn't feel like it's on fire...my ass will be back down that gym I can tell you. For now...I'm going to try and go to work while I can't bend or walk properly. Should be a laugh! lol x

I'd like to upload a picture but not sure how to lol. Its an angel with three roses and a scroll with the phrase omnia causa fiunt written on it which means everything happens for a reason. It's about 7-8 inches tall and 8 inches wide so unless you're going big...don't worry hehe x

It sounds awesome Pip :)
Don't worry about getting emotional (posting a hug here :grouphug:) , I was getting one of my dragons done years ago (was a tiny skinny girl of 18 back in the day) and I never flinched once, but sitting next to me was a huge hairy biker dude that had tears in his eyes and eventually ended up vomiting! Everyone reacts differently ha ha!

Hey congrats on the new man *wolf whistle*

Congrats on the new man! I would think that would add some extra motivation and some extra workouts too!
I couldn't imagine sitting for that long to get a tat - I bet it looks awesome! How'd the shift at work go? I bet you indulged in some alcohol afterwards! I would have anyway!
Keep it up Pip!!

Hey chubbygirl,

Yeah work was a challenge, i kept dropping glasses cos i couldn't bend properly. And to make it worse, I couldn't then bend down to clean it up, my colleagues were not amused haha. I found it hilarious. And yes, after work I certainly did indulge in a glass of wine, was much needed. My eating has gone slightly wonky this week...I'm such an all or nothing girl, it's dreadful. I'm sure I'll pay for it on the scale and as soon as my back is a bit more movable, I'll work it back off xx

your tatty sounds cool :) You can post a pic by clicking on " go advanced" and then if you scroll down, you'll see something that says "manage attachments" you can upload there!!
