One More Time...

I was missing ya for a few days! THANK goodness you didn't fall off the wagon completely!

It's awesome that your mom is making smart choices and losing weight! I think we got some friendly mother and daughter competition now...

I am 21 too and I am trying to get my weight in track. I will keep your diary bookmarked cause I feel you will give me some direction too =) Good luck!!

XD Um, yes exercise does release endorphins... XD I thought that was common knowledge? You're so lucky! My mom won't get me a treadmill =( But I'm so using the one at the university gym when I'm in college. I love treadmills!

First of all........Happy 21st birthday Xorie!!!

Aren't treadmills great? I don't know if I would workout as much if I didn't have one. Enjoy it while you're there!

Hey hunni happy birthday, god I wish I was your age again ha ha :nopity:

Hope you have a great day. Keep up the good work I know its not easy, but it will be worth it in the end. Talk soon Maddie

It must be so great to have people around to run with you or who are on the same journey to weight loss that you are. I live with my boyfriend, and outweigh him by about 15 pounds, so we won't be sharing any calorie counting rituals anytime soon, haha. I'm glad you're seeing that running CAN be fun and yes, it definitely releases some positive energy. I run early in the morning and on those days I feel better throughout the entire day.

alrighty, just a quick pop in to say that yes, I'm still alive. its been crazy. gotta run to choir practice now, so cant write much. Will post a loooooooong novel later :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I missed it I know but I hope you had fun! :) And WELL DONE for staying on track its very inspirational! Fighting those inner demons is pretty hard but if we have self discipline we can do anything. Congratulations for your mother as well! I decided that when I get work my treat to myself will be a treadmill I have been dying for one for ages! :p

Welcome back Xorie - Glad to hear your busy, cos if your like me and your not busy, mmmm the munchies set in and that can be disastrous hee hee. Hope you had a great birthday & enjoyed your choir practice. Maddie

First off, thanks for all the birthday wishes!! :) My mother bought me a long island iced tea...holy god it tasted like nail polish remover and pine sol...BUT I downed it. lol. Only had one drink. :)

I do like running. (After I'm done thinking I'm dying... lol) My brother restarted college, so now we have to rearrange our schedules. fun stuff.

If my inner demons looked like demons, I'd be fine... but they look like mexican food, cookies, candy coffee, and anything and everything that could be bad for you. lol. I'm saving up for a treadmill. Am hoping my parents will go halfers on one. Who knows. I have a couple hundred saved for a new violin, but my health is more important at the moment. Violin's next. :)

God, I find myself eating whenever I'm bored. I now have so many different mini hobbies to keep myself out of the kitchen it's crazy... Gardening, piano, singing, violin, pottery, writing, drawing, calligraphy, horses, and now I'm cleaning the house to stay out of the kitchen! Oh, and choir was fun.:)

Alrighty people, I'm back. Had a good time house sitting, EXCEPT for when one of the miniature horses I was watching colicked... Oh man, that was fun. NOT. Had to call the vet out, (Pitter the pony perked up right before Dr. miller got there...) vet gave her some Banamine, and then tubed her as a precaution. I was sick to my stomach the whole time. It really wasnt fun at all. BUT other than that and the threat of the river flooding (but it didnt) I had a great time.

I did however have a moment of the wagon getting out of control... I was ALMOST thrown off, but I managed to grab the reins again. I only gained a pound, BUT as it's that time of the month, I'm going to wait until friday to do an official weigh in. :)

I had a treadmill while there, and I loved it. I could put on CMT and just zone out watching music videos. I ran an entire mile and a half on an incline of 2. I find that if I'm not thinking about what I'm doing, I can go pretty much forever.

Oh, and watched the season premier of Biggest Loser last night. It shocks me at the fact that I weigh more than some of the people on the show, But I'm in much better shape. Some of the challenges were that they either had to run a mile, or do 500 step ups... It was crazy at how hard of a time all of them had. My dad and I were talking about it, and he said that while I'm heavy, its not just fat. He called me solid all the way through. My mom weighs about 5/10 lbs less than me, but I wear a size 18 and she wears a 22. crazy.

Anyway, going to play some piano, then clean the house, scrub my bathroom, clean the windows... anything to keep me out of the fridge until lunch time. I might go and drink a huge glass of water to trick my stomach into thinking its full for a little bit. I have 2 hours til lunch... :)

Hope everyone had a great week!

I would also like to point out, that since I cleaned my car this morning, I noticed that there were a bunch of old fast food bags and stuff in my trunk... but it was all OLD stuff. I havent been to a McDonalds, BK, Jack in the Box, Taco Bell, Taco Time, or ANYTHING in a month! My back account backs me up on it too. I have money in checking AND savings. Its really amazing. *pats self on back* Just realizing makes me feel good and makes me want to keep going. I have until Thanksgiving to lose 25lbs. Thats nine weeks. thats about 3lbs a week. Ho boy, wish me luck.lol. I want so badly to prove to my sister that I can do this. :) A secret desire of mine is to go to a store and rather than my mom and me playing dress up danielle, she can play dress up US. :) Thats in the future though. Maybe in 50lbs. so by february.

Urgh, that horse stroy sounds horrific! Glad it's over for you now :)

Well done for grabbing on to the reins - I was well and truly catapulted off!! I've managed to crawl my way back to it today tho - hopefully by tomorrow I'll be well and truly back on! Sounds like you're doing great and I'm really hoping you'll get the 25lbs off by Thanksgiving! I'm sure you'll be able to!

Best of luck!

Thats fantastic Xorie, its things like that, that motivates us. You can definetly reach your 25lbs by Thanksgiving, with all the exercise you do definetly. I totally understand about your secret desire I'm the same. One of my sisters is so skinny and even when we were kids it was always her getting the cool clothes etc. cos she had the figure and its the same now. I haven't seen my family since I started my "LIFESTYLE CHANGE" but I am going up to see them in four weeks time, so I'm sure they will get a shock when they see me. I hope I will be down another 10lbs by then, and that will be 32lbs since they saw me. Should be fun ha ha. Keep up the great work Xorie, your doing so great. Post about your weight loss tomorrow. I think your right, because when its the time of month, you tend to retain water so you don't get a correct reading. Good luck hunni - Maddie

:iagree: I totally relate to this! My mum's overweight too while my sister's so skinny it's annoying, and when we go to a store she's always the one who comes out with something nice even if we went there to buy something for my mom or for me. I got my my mum on the "lifestile change" as well so let's hope that for february we'll all be able to surprise our skinny sisters! ;)

Take pictures of their faces when they see you. :D They wont know what hit them. :D And you'll be down the 10lbs easy. :)

Yeah. My sister's closet is FULL of dresses that she gets practically "just because". She tries something on, it looks great, then she makes sad eyes at my mom, and boom. She's got a new dress lol. I would like to get into a size 12 dress. That would make me supremely happy. My junior year prom dress was a 15, and I was 189lbs then. God I'm such a tomboy, BUT I reallllly want to be a girl for a bit at times. lol

I hate it when the horses get frisky at the head of the wagon. Or if a wheel comes off. BUT, so far we have been able to climb back aboard, both of us. We'll both reach our goals no problem!

And Pitter is fine now. I was talking to Cathy, and she says Pitter is a Diva, and has had minor colick issues before. ah well. :)

So am going to be super duper good today. Weigh in is tomorrow, and I need to be down a pound and a half to get into the 240s. God they are so close I can taste them... Am head up to work. I had major major cramps yesterday, so was unable to do the stalls last night, so I'm heading up early to do them today. Oh joy, but that'll be double the workout. Plus, if I can get my mom to come, I'd like to ride. We'll see.

Have a great day everyone!!!!

I totally understand with the sister bits and the dress...my dress was a size 16 I think, how embarassing! =(

GOOD LUCK ON THE WEIGH IN!!

Glad you had a good birthday :) I agree though, long island ice tea is icky!
That's so awesome that you've cut out going to junk food places, you should be really proud of yourself. Best of luck with your goals, the way you're going now I think you can achieve them :)
I totally know what you mean about clothes, I just wanna go in all those nice shops that only go up to (UK) size 14 and try on the really pretty dresses!

It wasnt too bad after I drank half and then asked for more coke... lol. Just give me some Sangria, or a Mango Mojito. mmmmm... lol And today, I was pretty hungry coming home from work, and my mind went, "mmmm smell that Burger King" but then, half a second later, I didnt care anymore. I think that the hold they had on me is done. :D

I just want to look good for my friends wedding next june. If I could be down 60lbs by then, god I would be estatic. :)

Anywho, was really good today. had oatmeal for breakfast (270 cal) then a bagel with light smear of cream cheese (about 350 cal) then for dinner I had shephards pie. mmmm... I got myself a small first serving, but then was hungry still, so I got a little more, ate it slowly, then gave the last half of the second serving away. Booyah! Take THAT stupid cravings! :)

Hoping for a 2lbs drop tomorrow so that I can see that 249. Wish me luck!!!

Ok, so the weigh in...

Does it count if the scale flashed to 249 before settling on 250? lol. *sigh oh well. Maybe I'll fudge and jump on the scale tomorrow. lol. Or I'll just wait til next friday and see a 247 or so. I'm being extra good today. Had a yougurt with a sprinkle of grapenuts for breakfast, then a turkey sandwich for lunch. Dont know about dinner yet, but I'm thinking my mom and I are going to be making some kind of italian dish. Eggplant parm maybe. My eggplants need to be picked. :)

Have a violin lesson today, then I have work. Maybe going to ride tonight. I dont know though.

Hope everyone has a great day today, and I hope the weather where you all are is better than here. Its 50, and raining... and since its the pacific northwest... Its going to be like this until next June.... lol
