One last time...

Hey!
I just saw your diary and wow congrats on your progress, you're doing so well, and your kicking butt at keeping all the cravings away!! Power to you!
Hahahah I totally understand what you mean about the scale... mine keeps decalibrating, so one morning the line will be at 2 lbs, another day at -2lbs...and then ugh so frustrating. Seriously, a digital scale is a must! I'm considering it too...and its a big motivator too I guess, seeing those 0.1 lbs drop away....

Anyways, keep up the progress!!

Hahaha!! Isn't it frustrating! Glad I'm not the only one with "scale anger"! And you're right! Those 0.1 losses are impotant to see....and they add up over time.

We gotta switch to digital world girl!

:)

YAY! Skinny Cow's rock! Much better choice!

Thanks Laura! I went to the store yesterday as I wanted to try the skinny cows you mentioned...the truffle things and the ice cream cups....no luck. All I can find are the sandwiches and bars. Don't get me wrong I LOVE them, but you've got me curious about the other tasty treats out there :)

The search continues...lol

What kind of bars are they? The fudge ones? I haven't tried those yet. I've heard good things about the cones, but I haven't tried them either. Something about eating a cone that's been in the freezer for who knows how long... I have my doubts. I hope you find the other items soon! You've got to at least be able to try them. I like the ice cream cups because sometimes I just want to dig my spoon into something delicious.

Too much ice cream talk so early in the morning! Off to eat my oatmeal.

If you like yummy treats that arent bad for you, there is this company called "Julies Organic" They make these sinful strawberry, blueberry, and fudge bars, and all of them are only 100 calories each! I swear by them, because I love strawberry, but cant have red food coloring, so a lot of the "light" stuff I can't have.

anyway, woohoo on you registering for a marathon! I'm not brave enough to sign up for one yet. :)

Keep up the good work, and keep up the wonderful attitude!

Ok so I weighed in today...I started at 200 on sept 27...today I am 192!! 8 pound loss....I'm happy with that. Of course I'd like to see more. But i know that's a healthy amnt. I'm just impatient! I want it to just melt off asap! Yaaa...that's not gonna happen. It took years to put the weight on and it'll take months to get it off.

Question: I want to get to 150 by March 15. Is that a stretch?? That's a steady 2 pounds/wk. I think that's a bit much. I don't loose quickly. I don't want to cut my cals anymore as i think 1600 is a reasonable amnt for me given it's usually healthy cals. Guess I could up the intensity of my workouts? My bootcamp is hardcore, but I think I could push myself more on the swimming and running. I need to find groups to workout with...I don't push myself as hard when I'm on my own.

Ok not a great day today. Woke up really hungry today and didn't eat breakfast right away as I was going to see my neice who is 3. So I stopped off to get her a treat and picked up some mini doughnuts and ATE ALL OF THEM!! I had about 500 calories worth of donuts :( i didn't even enjoy them and felt I'll afterwards.

To compensate (or at least try), I tried to be extra active today. I spent an hour raking leaves and took my dog for an hour walk, quick pace. No run today :( by the time I got home it was already dark out and I don't run at night. I also snuck in some situps when I could.

Everything else was pretty healthy today and I managed to stick to my calorie limit despite the donuts.

Breakfast
Donuts :(

Lunch
Plain oatmeal with 1/2 cup milk
1/4 cut melon

Dinner
2 chicken legs
1/2 cup rice
Garden salad

I got a comment today that I'm looking really good...much healthier. I don't doubt my skin and stuff is looking better from the healthy foods I've been putting in my body instead of junk.

I've been thinking a LOT lately how ling it's going to take to get this weight off and been frustrated with that. But I kind of realized I'm enjoying it. I'm enjoying the healthy yummy foods and exercising again. A few years ago I was super healthy, went to the gym 5 times a week in addition to training for a half marathon.

It feels good to be focused again.

Aww, don't get too down on yourself about the doughnuts! You said yourself you still managed to stay within your calories, and even if you didn't, that wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world either. None of us are going to eat perfectly healthy 100% of the time. I had a blueberry donut this morning.... I planned it before I even left the house and I enjoyed every single bite. And now that I've gotten it out of my system I won't have another one for a while. So don't feel guilty!

Thanks Laura...next time I'll plan it in like your blueberry donut. Then I'll stick to one instead of several! Lol

So tonight I'm trying my new running route. I've mapped out a 5k route in my neighborhood and am going to time myself. I just need to get up to a 7k by the end of January to make it in to the half marathon training group. I have a feeling my time willbe horrendous, but gotta start somewhere right?

I was silly today and ate a whole wheat biscotti for breakfast. Not a smart move as I was hungry again within the hour! Think I'll stick to oatmeal! I stuck to my 1600 cal limit though which is good.

Breakfast
Whole wheat biscotti
Green tea

Snack
Cottage cheese
2 cups herbal tea

Lunch
Weight watchers bread with natural peanut butter
Apple

Snack
Pear
Raw Pumpkin seeds
Herbal tea

Dinner
Soup

I'm feeling good about working out. Now that the scale is actually moving, I'm more motivated! I am 190 now and have always been either a few pounds above or below 180. So it will be really nice to get into numbers I haven't seen before. I absolutely can't wait until I get below 175!!! That will be a GREAT feeling!!

I did a 5K run in 37.11 Definitely room for improvement. I did end up taking a few walk breaks. But i actually did better than I thought.
