One last time...

Hey just wanted to say keep it up. :)

Oh, and let yourself have a little bit of chocolate. Like a small single wrapped piece. That way, if you do encounter a large quantity of it, you wont feel deprived of it and want to go overboard. I dont think we should have to give up our favorite foods, just be smart about how much of them we eat. :)

Keep it up. :)

Thanks Laura! I hope you get to do that half marathon! Wouldn't it just feel SO good! What an accomplishment it will be :) funny enough, I have the couch to 5k ap on my iPhone and am starting that tomorrow. Hope to move up to the couch to 10k then start training for the half. Might join a running clinic for the half tho. Think it will go better with a group. I am Always more motivated that way!

Xorie, thanks again for the advice! I think I just needed to hear someone tell me eating a bit of "bad" food was not the end of the work :) so thanks for the reality check

Gym here I coommee!!!

Day 7

Well I FINALLY made it to the gym guys!! Wahooo!

I did day 1 of a 5k training program. I soooo wanna get to that half marathon in May!! I'll be honest, I basically felt like I was going to die on the treadmill. But I kept reminding myself if I can work through the hardest part of starting it'll just get easier from there. I wanna be a runner again! I miss how running used to feel so good. I want to get to that point again.

Boot camp sounds awesome--I can never find anything like that in my area! Good luck!

P.S. All your food always sounds so yummy and healthy!

Thanks sunflower! The one I joined is called booty camp fitness. Maybe they have it in your area..? I found it by googling womens bootcamps. It's great to workout with other women :)

I try to eat things I enjoy, though find I eat a lot of the same things. So once and a while I find new things so I don't go mad!

I made a workout schedule to follow. It consists of 5 intense workouts and 1 easier workout/week.

Just feeling soooo tired today. Craving a large double double coffee but sticking to my herbal teas.

Am thinking about planning a small treat for sometime soon. Maybe chocolate this wknd. I try to plan for a treat instead of spontanious gorging! That way I won't feel guilty or over do it :)

Hey all,

So...yesterday after I posted my day I was craving ice cream SO badly! I'm trying not to get in the mindset of all or nothing, I.e. Allowing an occasional small treat is not sabotoge.

So I had a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich and it was TO DIE FOR!! Was 140 cals and worth every last one! I did my run yesterday and day 3 of the 5k train program today and I'm feeling good tho my calves are KILLING me! Think I need to stretch...lol

I am eating around 1600 calories/day of nutritious real food but am still finding I'm hungry ALL the time! My stomach is grumbling as I write this and I had dinner an hour ago.

I don't think I'm not eating enough. I think 1600 is an appropriate amount of calories. I'm 5'8 200 pounds (last time I weighed in about a week ago). I have been doing 30mins of jogging/day.

Do I just need to just stick it out until I get used to less calories? I'm hesitant to increase my calories.

Well today I went to a day spa...it was beautiful!! I had a seaweed body wrap and a facial. I also went for a hike around the grounds and did some laps in the pool. I managed to eat healthy too...not hard there since it's a very health concious place!

Breakfast
Green tea
7 grain toast
Slice of Cheddar cheese

Snack
Homeade granola
Apple

Lunch
Green salad with piece of soft goat cheese
Multigrain flat bread with veggies
3 mini biscottis

Snack
Homeade granola
Mixed melon
Organic peppermint tea

Dinner
Chicken breast stuffed with asparagus and slice of Swiss cheese
Carrots
1/4 cup potatoes
Fresh Strawberries for dessert

Drank TONS of water today!! Lost a lot in the steam rooms! They put lemon and cucumber in their water! I liked it, think I will try it at home...

Tomorrow gonna get out for a run again. And boot camp officially starts in 4 days! Woohoo!

Cheers!

Thanks iq_rider. I've been trying hard :)

Yesterday I was craving junk food SO badly. It even put me in a bit of a bad mood to have to keep refusing treats. I know that it's good for me to refuse but yesterday I just wanted to give in so badly. I did have a skinny cow ice cream sandwich which was delicious. The only thing was that I could have eaten the entire box! But I managed to stick to just one.

Breakfast
Multigrain toast
Cheddar cheese
Green tea

Snack
Skinny cow ice cream sandwich

Lunch
Strawberries
2 poached eggs
1 Pc toast with butter

Dinner
Chicken legs
Brown rice
Peas

I didn't get out for a run. Was very busy running errands all day. It's thanksgiving this wknd for us canadians and it's so bloody hard to keep saying no to all the delicious treats. Uugghhh so frustrating! I just wanna give in so badly.

Ahh, the Skinny Cow ice cream! I'm not a big fan of the sandwiches but I love love love the truffle bars and the cups. And I don't ever feel guilty about letting myself have those because having one after dinner most nights keeps me from going out and binging on a whole pint of Ben & Jerry's when the opportunity presents itself. I did a post a while back comparing Ben & Jerry's with Skinny Cow's.... I think I determined that you'd need to eat about 40 Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches to get as much fat as you would in one pint of B&J (assuming you eat the whole pint, like I frequently did). Basically, don't feel bad about "splurging" on an ice cream sandwich (or heck, even two!) Just think of what the alternative could be!

Ooooh I will have to try the other skinny cow products! Those sound delish!

My day today was actually good! Today my boyfriend cooked me a nice dinner. He knows I'm trying to loose weight so he kept it healthy!

Breakfast
Apple
Natural peanut butter
Plain low fat yogurt
Organic honey

Lunch
Rice crackers
Hummus
Cottage cheese

Dinner
Prime rib
Carrots
Asparagus
Skinny cow ice cream :)

Today was our thanksgiving. I ended up having a couple treats and slightly went over my limit.

Rice crackers

Dinner
4oz turkey
1tbs cranberry sauce
2tbsp corn
1/4 cup mashed potatoes
2 tbsp squash
4 green beans
2 tbsp stuffing
1 large PC pumpkin pie
Lots of water

Holidays are tough on the diet!!! I think we deserve the right to enjoy ourselves every once in a while...just need to remember the goals we have set and not just fall off the wagon head first!

Hard at it tomorrow!!!!!

Your doing great!

I say having a small controlled amount of chocolate chips is warented. Especially if it's "that time" :)

Have fun at your bootcamp tomorrow!
