Since I don't really have a spotter (who can actually 'spot' me,) I've been trying one handed benches that way I can try to improve my strength, but also able to easily catch it if I start to fail. I found it helps my forearms and my shoulder a lot more than regular benching (because of the extra stability needed.) I was wondering if this is dangerous or if it will deteriorate my muscles (someone told me it could possibly do that.)
