On The Road To Regain Control

Yesterday was great. Surprisingly enough I only ended up having one plate of food. I didn't feel the incrediable erge to overeat and gorge as I have in past years.

I did have a little bit of macoroni left overs before I went to bed last night. It's okay though. I didn't stuff myself to an extreme and I feel like that's what's important. I can't wait to weigh in tomorrow. I'm really excited. If I'm under 150.... I don't know what I'll do.... I'll be so happy. OMG!! I'll have to definitely plan something that doesn't involve eating to celebrate.

What's on the Menu?

Breakfast: 1 small can of Mandarin Oranges, (OoOoOo I get tired of the toast)

Lunch: 1 pack of Ramon Noodles.

Snack: A couple Crackers and a few Pretzels.

Weigh In.

I ended up only losing one pound this week. I really can't complain. I still lost whether it was 5 or .5 pounds. That's all that matters. I also finally reached my November goal of ten pounds. So yayaya! I can start on Christmas now.

150!! Ahh yea!

Something Pretty Scary Happened Last Night...

I went to the walking trail at the park during the evening last night hoping to get in some exercise before it got too dark. The first mile was fine. There were still several people around and I felt safe enough, even though it was getting darker, to go ahead and hit a second mile. While I was walking I noticed I was being followed rather closely by an older man in an old beat up green car. As he passed me by he practical broke his neck staring out his rear window to see me.

The way he was looking at me literally made me cringe. My stomach completely flipped, as I was still a good 3/4's of a mile away from my vehicle.

I was able to calm myself down a bit after he had seemingly left, telling myself I was simply overreacting. I continued.

Only seconds later I heard the old piece of junk clanking down the road again. I was totally engulfed by fear. It became very obvious this guy was intrested in me beyond what I had hoped.

There's a certain spot on the trail that sits very close (I'm talking inches) to a culdesac in one of the parking lots. Due to the situation, my realization of this made me sort of sick to my stomach, and I increase my speed abit.

As I approached this spot, I did indeed see him driving around the parking lots above, appearing to be searching for something... if not someone... I prayed of course it wasn't me. I was scared out of my mind.

He was getting closer, and closer, and I began to almost panic praying to God that I was only imagining things, and the guy was simply out for a late night drive..I frooze in total fright, and I'm almost certain I just about had heart faliure, as his vehicle stopped directly infront of me in the circle. His headlights blinded me, and he just sat there, looking at me....

After several seconds (It seemed like an hour) he slowly began to proceed. As road the brake passed me, I grabbed my cell phone and called Tyler. I knew he would be able to get there quicker then either of my parents because we live a good twenty-five minutes out of town.

Unfortunately it took him a while as well because he wasn't at home when I called. He was all the way across the bypass at McDonalds. He said he went like 90 mhp tryin to get to me though....

I guess I can't say the guy doesn't love me.

When he got there he drove me back to my car, and got out and walked me to it. He followed me to the gas station because I still had to get gas. I guess he just wanted to make sure I was okay.

Anyways.... yea... I most definitely won't be going out there again anytime soon, especially so late in the evening. I don't know what I was thinking. If I do go there again in the future... I won't go alone.

That really did scare the crap out of me.

There are some weird people out there

Make sure you go out 'armed' if you're likely to be in a similar position peeps. Take whatever you're legally allowed to carry be it a personal alarm or a mace spray etc and use it if you need to. Most importantly, let someone know where you are going and when you'll be back and take a charged mobile phone with you (with credit on of course!).

And dont forget that self defence classes are also a top way to work out ;)

I hope it hasn't put you off your exercise routine, AI. Chin up gal :)

*gives AI a big hug*

UG! I feel for you, that would have seriously creeped me out too. I'm glad nothing happened.

Oh, and congrats on making 150! And hitting your November goal!!!

Thanks DQ and Stan. Needless to say it was a pretty frightening experience, but fortunately not so much to keep me from my walks for long. I think I'm going to get some mace to put on my key chain incase I do decide to venture out late in the future. As of now, I'll continue to use the neighborhood subdivisions to my advantage.:D:D

I suppose my main purpose in that post was to warn people, especially young ladies like myself, to be on guard at all times, in similiar situations.

Breakfast: Two scrambled eggs, Two pieces of toast, 1 glass of milk.

WOW that story freaked me out and is exactly why I don't walk anywhere near dusk. I'm glad you're safe.

You're doing a great job, I just wanted to warn you about high sodium intake. I see you like your noodles, pretzels and crackers. If you eat foods high in sodium be sure to drink extra water (normally you're supposed to drink half your weight in water) to make sure you don't retain water weight. It's weird, but true. Sodium is sneaky little bastard. :p

half your weight in water??/ is that possible to drink that much?? or have i grossly misunderstood.

Yea I do it everyday, well almost everyday. Let's say you weigh 170. Half of that is 85 oz.. I have to drink at least 67.5 ounces a day...but I typically drink more than that.

I had a pop tart for breakfast today ;)
Yum!:D I love blueberry poptarts.

Yeah. I definetly don't suggest walking near dusk or dark for anyone, after this. Even if your not alone, people still have to be careful.

Thanks for the advice! For some reason I've never thought about the noodles being high in sodium. It makes sense though. I've got to start looking beyond my calorie intake, and make choices based on a more nutritional value as well. I'm definitely going to have to cut back on the noodles, and crackers and the pretzels. :D Thanks!

You don't have to give up your favs, just look for low sodium crackers and pretzels. But I'm sorry to report that I don't believe they are any low sodium Raman Noodles. :p
