Hi Val, :iagree: with all the above! Hope you have a great w/e, the treadmill arrives tomorrow, wow re yr daughter, I'm sure you'll be smart with the buffet etc. I looked at a youtube video of the shaker thingy & laughed my head off! If it works please let me know as I just won't wear sleeveless because of the tops of my arms. I'm really glad that, you too, have a lovely sister. They're so special! Love to you, xo Cate

Hey Ecky! How's it going? What are those pixie outfits you mentioned by the way? Am sure you'll have fun at the race! Hope everything is "running" smoothly missy! No pun intended! lol

I love the inbetweeners...could not be more jealous of your daughter! Also, very jealous of you getting a treadmill, I would LOVE one! They are just so damn expensive for a decent one! Boo, anyway, have a wonderful weekend Yoda x

Shaker things?! Are they those slightly inappropriate looking ones?
Where you look like you are doing rude things to an invisible man? :p

hehehe much merriment at Ecky's expense about these shaker things!!!

I love the inbetweeners - it is the funniest thing on television for ages.

Hope you have a great time at the hotel with your husband - whenever you manage to get away for a few days, it always sounds like a well-deserved break from looking after your dad so enjoy it!

Thanks for all the lovely replies.

Haha I'd quite happily get paid for sunbathing but they'd be more likely to pay me to put clothes back on!!! :p
They actually needed all shapes and ages to look like a proper beach scene. In this scene the extras hardly show but in other scenes she was right in front of the camera.

Enjoy your lovely weekend away with your wonderful husband!

I hope you get a nice surprise when you get back and you have a treadmill waiting for you!
Thanks, we had a great time but still no treadmill :( I can't even phone them and tell them off today as it is a holiday here.

It rained quite a lot but yesterday it was hot and sunny most of the time so we were able to get out for a long walk and no I'm not better than you at resisting buffets!!!!!

Hey Ecky, hope you're having a lovely time :)

thanks Cate XO
They have got a hilarious video here (in spanish) which is based on the original video but with a different funny voice over. I'll let you know if it works but I don't expect miracles as it will probably take ages to make a difference.

Look back a few pages to the begining of Feb. My daughter had a fancy dress party for her 21st birthday. A couple of friends and me went as plump pink pixies and made little outfits more suitable to 5 year olds. I posted a couple of photos on my profile page. :)

I love the inbetweeners...could not be more jealous of your daughter! Also, very jealous of you getting a treadmill, I would LOVE one! They are just so damn expensive for a decent one! Boo, anyway, have a wonderful weekend Yoda x
I have only watched one episode of the Inbetweeners and found it funny but will definitely be watching it in the future. Apparantly the little one with glasses couldn't remember his lines and sobbed. It will be fun to see Heidi in it. There is one point where they are getting on a boat where Heidi and her boyfriend are walking in front of the main actresses so they should be really in shot and another place where they have to walk past the boys fighting and point and laugh so they had the camera right on them. She still has at least 4 days to do so hopefully will get more good shots.

Yep, they're the ones :)

Thanks Jay, we had a brilliant time.
It was almost a disaster as an hour before we were due to leave my car decided that it didn't want to start. My daughter luckily was going to Valencia the day after and wouldn't need her car so we borrowed it.
Eating was TERRIBLE. We just ate and ate at the buffet and justified it with the fact that we were on holiday!!!!
We exercised quite a bit. We went to the gym twice and the swimming pool and walked for miles but not nearly enough to compensate for what we ate. I've just realized that it is exactly 4 months until my son's wedding so I will need to lose and average of half a kilo a week until then.
As I said above the treadmill still hasn't arrived but tomorrow I will be kicking *rse.
Had a great time relaxing in the hot tubs, sauna, and turkish baths. My husband really needed a break. He doesn't sleep well at home as he is always listening out for my dad but he slept like a baby all 3 nights.
I don't know if I ever mentioned it before but my husband gave up smoking years ago but has been smoking in 'secret' for some time now. It was quite amusing to see him trying to find excuses to sneak out for a quick puff :) He has no idea that I know but I won't tell him as he will smoke a lot more if he starts smoking in front of me. ;)
Well I will catch up on everybodies diaries as soon as I get a minute after this huge post.

Lookin' good there Val! Beautiful scenery to go with a beautiful lady!

I think it's amusing too when people try to smoke in secret and hide the fact that they are. :smilielol5: How could we NOT know? They stink to high heaven when they've been at it, and they think we don't notice that??? My hubby has given up hiding it from me, now he just tries to hide it from our kids and from his parents - but I don't think they are fooled either. But the only place he smokes is at the local bar. He knows I'd kill him if he lit up at home or in any vehicle we own.

Good to have you back and I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves! Now get in gear for that wedding! :coolgleamA:

Ecky - you look great in the photos - slim, active, happy!

Glad you had a good time away and hope the treadmill arrives soon.

Thank you girls, that was nice words to wake up to :D
Well today is the day!!!! I am going to get off maintanance and will lose that extra weight.
I will weigh and write down everything that goes into my mouth
I will average about 1400 calories a day
I will use my 'shaker' thing every day.
I will walk everyday, faster and faster until I am runny again.
I will drink at least 2 litres of water a day
I will wear my step counter without fail and make sure I do at least 15000 steps a day
I will come on here every day and report in about what I have done
I will be 8 kgs lighter by July 2nd!!!!!!!!
Bring it on!!!! I'm ready to do this.

LOL I forgot to say that when we were in the gym this weekend my husband and me were on treadmills side by side. We started running at the same speed but I was really struggling and had to slow it down. I was really cross with myself for being so out of shape as I could hardly even keep up with the walking and then I realized that my machine was in miles and his was in kms so I was actually going way faster than him and trying to run much faster than I have ever ran :)

Ooooh Val, it's so nice to see you all vamped up about losing again! I feel exactly the same way at the moment. Let's do it x

:smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:

LOL on you trying to keep up with hubby on the treadmill with a different setting! I love it!

You are inspiring me to get my own butt in gear and finally lose this last little bit of weight! WE CAN DO IT!!!

Sorry I haven't been checking in even though I said I would everyday but everything has been hectic for the last few days. In a good way though as I have had loads of friends and family dropping by.
Well my treadmill finally arrived on Friday. I looooooove it. It is much bigger than I expected and I haven't really got room for it so the dining room table is stuck up one corner of the room and I have managed to put it up against the wall to make it a bit less conspicuous. I am going to build the running up slowly as I am really out of condition compared to last summer. I'm not going to overdo it though as I still worry about the effect on my knees. I want to get back to running the 5km that I could do before and then carry on increasing and aim to be able to run 10 km by this summer.
Eating has been ok the last couple of days. After I came back from the few days away I was starving all the time as I was used to huge buffets so it took me a couple of days to get back to better eating. Yesterday we did a huge paella again and I did it with very lean meat and a lot less oil than normal and everybody loved it. I always expect them to notice the difference but nobody ever does :)
Did I say that I have now ordered the dress for my son's wedding? I have got it made smaller round the tummy than I actually am as I know that is where I will lose it as that is where the extra fat is. It will really give me incentive to lose more. I have ordered it now as I am so used to years of looking awful everytime I go out that I don't trust it to look good on me so would rather have it now then I have time to look for something else if I don't like it.
I'll catch up on some of your diaries now and finish off later. :)

Mmm, paella! Love it :) My boy always notices when I make his favourite foods "healthy"! New treadmill looks awesome--shame about it being so big but it's a great thing to have around the house and, hey, at least you wont be able to avoid it if it's taking up so much room! Have a good Monday :D xxx

Wooohoooo! yay the treadmill arrived!! :)
it s nice to have a good incentive to lose weight! i have mine - 4 weeks until my shopping trip with my sister - hope t shop for a size smaller!! :)
hugs

I would love love love a treadmill, I'm so jealous. Glad it's arrived and nice to hear that you've had a hectic but happy few days. Good luck with the treadmill training...we shall be doing it alongside one another x
