On my way to 63kgs

I don't feel like it right now, I am constantly undoing my own good work, which is silly! Anyway, thanks for what you said xx

Those sound like really wonderful goals Val - I know you will achieve each and every one of them :) I've got faith in you hun :D

Well I finally weighed myself and I have done 5lbs worth of damage. Was it worth it? No!!!!! I had a great christmas but felt sick for days so I would have enjoyed it more without constantly stuffing my face. I want to write this down here so that hopefully before next Christmas I can come back and read it. Next Christmas I want to eat less and organize active games, WII, twister etc. and also plan daily walks and buy much less food.

Hi Val. 5lbs-ouch. I'm scared of getting on the scales tomorrow- it's my day of reckoning. You'll get rid of it fast I'm sure as you have the skills, the knowledge & the determination. Have a great time in the UK. You're right about the anticipation of a holiday. It's half the fun. 2011- here we come, getting fitter & slimmer every day :D xo Cate

Hola Ecky!! =) Thanks for your sweet thoughts (as usual)! lol I like the fact that you listed goals...good thinking! Don't fret too much about the 5 lbs...I'm sure some of it is water weight/food-that-hasn't-evacuated-your- bowels-yet! lol A new year...new chances! Hope it goes well for ya! I'll be back! =p

Know what I like about holiday screw ups though? I can always say that was all in the past...last YEAR, lol. Oh and on your list you've already been doing #6, at least you've been a great help to me!

Thank you again for all your nice comments. I can't tell you all how nice it is to wake up every morning to nice greetings from nice people.
Well even better this morning was that I woke up to 3 lbs of the weight gain gone:) I'm so glad that it wasn't all fat gain. I can easily lose the other 2lbs. I'd like to lose it by Saturday when I go on holiday but I doubt that will be possible.
I'm bound to put a few pounds on in the 8 days that we are away but we will be really active so hopefully the damage won't be too bad and even if it is I'm not bothered as I know I will lose it once I get back home. It's so great to have this confidence of being in control even with the occcasional temporary set back.
Usually at this time of year I am all depressed about my christmas weight and fighting with myself for months to do something about it and making half hearted attempts and failing.
Let's all make this year the year we reach our goal. :D

Hi Ecky, thanks for your encouragement. Youre doing really well! Losing weight and keeping the weight of really is lifetime commitment, eh. Its not so much about dieting but adapting to a different style.

Cheers

Gosh, if you put on 5lbs I dread to think what my scales will say when I get home!! *gulp*

Glad 3lbs has vanished though!! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and can't wait to get posting on here again when my vacation is over!! *hugs* xxx

I think this year is going to be the year that we all EXCEED our goals!!!

Having a positive attitude is half the battle, isn't it? You definately have the right attitude lady, so you'll have to problem at all getting to where you want by your son's wedding.

Enjoy your day!

Sunny, don't worry you will soon be back on track. :)
Tigs, I think that you're right that we will all exceed our goals. We've got this cracked now :)
I've lost another half a pound since yesterday so just got about a kg to get to pre christmas weight.
I have a theory . Before when I used to diet as soon as I stopped my body would fight hard to get back to it's usual fat weight as though that was the weight it was comfortable with.
Now I have been maintaining an average of about 70kgs for the last 6 months and since I stopped binging a couple of days ago it's as if my body has got used to the new weight and is now comfortable with 70 kgs and is rushing to get back down there. I've lost 3 and a half pounds in a couple of days without really trying hard.
I'm probably talking rubbish and it was just water weight but that would suprise me as I really deserved to gain a lot of fat with what I ate but I really would like to think that my body wants to be this weight now and not be a fatty.
I still have 7 or 8 kgs to lose so then I will have to convince my body that it loves to be 63 kgs.:)

Well it's holiday time here again. The Spanish celebrate Kings day and many of the children here have their presents brought tonight by the 3 kings instead of Santa. We are just going to ignore the celebrations this year instead of overeating again. It's a national holiday tomorrow so my husband won't be at work so we will probably go out for a long walk.
I'm getting a bit panicky as we are going to England on Saturday and my daughter is ill with a really bad cold/ flu and although she will probably be better I might go down with it. Send me healthy vibes :)

Hey Ecky!! Wish I were there 2 (not to get sick lol but to see the festivities)! Hope your daughter gets better soon! Am proud of ya for being smart about the eating! =) Take care bud! :hat:

Hi Val! I'm sendingyou not only "healthy vibes", but also best wishes for a great 2011. This is definitely the year you will convince your body that it adores being at 63 kg!

I haven't been on the board much these last couple of months, but I often think of you and all the help and encouragement you've given me. Thanks for being one the the best parts of 2010 for me...

hey ecky :) I so agree with your theory and I've felt it's true also. For me it's always been easier to lose weight I just gained. Have a great holiday and fun on your trip. And I'll be praying you don't get sick! My husband got the flu and I managed not to so there's hope, lol.

Your poor daughter. Hope she feels better soon. And I REALLY hope you don't catch her bug. That would be horrible to spend your holiday ill!!!

What lovely messages, thank you all.:)
Well I have caught my daughter's bug and feel awful. I've only just got round to packing my case ready to leave tomorrow morning as I just can't summon up the energy or enthusiasm. My chest hurts, I've got a high temperature and can't stop coughing.:( Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow when I wake up. Anyway I don't suppose that I will get the opportunity to check in for just over a week so looking forward to catching up with you when I get back.
Jjjay I'm off to the Bravissimo shop on Wednesday :)
xxxxxx

Whoa, get better soon! I know what you mean about thinking our bodies are "set" at a certain weight. We have to prove differently. I also think for me its beneficial to think long term. Long term, my weight is going down. Like over the years. I was 220, although my ticker doesn't reflect that. Maybe I should change it, it was at least five years ago I weighed that much. But perhaps I should include that success and experience here on the forum.
