On my way to 63kgs

I'm glad you had a lovely time, Val :) Sounds lovely! How come the dinners weren't great? Hotel food is always a little hit and miss, isn't it?!
Thanks Sunny:) I'm not fussy and usually like hotel food but I think that what they did was cooked everything at lunch time and just kept the dinner warm until the evening as everything was tough and dried out and very little choice. I'm so annoyed with myself for eating so much of it but I weighed myself today and I haven't put on weight which was a relief. I did have a marathon and a packet of M&Ms as well while we were there as I rarely eat chocolate these days and wanted to treat myself while we were on holiday.

Glad you had what sounds like a fab time away love :) 4 hours walking round an aquarium? Wowzers! Must have been a pretty big aquarium or you must really like fishies. Either way, got your moneys worth! ;)

Hola Ecky!!!! Your trip sounds like fun!! Wish I were there...beats LA! lol Great idea to do the trips w/ the hubby btw...not bad for the romance department! =) Bless you for all your kindness Ecky!

Sounds like a lovely weekend Ecky, apart from the dinner!! Although, just think how much you would have ended up eating if it had been scrumptious? MAybe they were just trying to help you resist temptation!

I read your post initially as "I did a marathon"....hahaha and thought "wow, she did well on her weekend away!!!"

LOL Jay, definitely not ready for a marathon.
Well my friends are letting me down. They've worked so hard all summer that they have gone into hibernation mode. At least I am managing to get them out for walks several times a week and we have now got up to a fast pace so soon I will have to start bullying them into doing more!!! I love our walks though as we talk and laugh non stop and can get a couple of hours walking done without even realizing it. They have all started to eat better now and we weigh in at my house every Tuesday. Everybody has had a weight loss both weeks so far so they are all starting to get motivated. I've lost just a couple of hundred grams both weeks but as I had gone up a couple of lbs over the last few months I'm not quite back to my lowest weight yet so can't start to move my ticker yet.
I'm really looking forward to going lower than I am now. I can't wait until the day when I reach 63.
The dress below is the one that I want for my son's wedding so I need to get my stomach really flat. What do you all think? I'll get burgandy highlights in my hair. I'm going to order it in May so need to be at my lowest by then. Not sure whether to have this length or mid calf. I thought I would probably get more use out of it if I have it shorter.

LOL @ you bullying people to walk faster. You can come down to Hitchin and bully me at any time because I havn't got a gym partner yet and could do with some friendly motivation! ;)

Ecky... that dress is just BEAUTIFUL :) And I'm sure the dear woman who WILL get a flat tummy and squidge into it is going to look scrumptiously fantastic! Have the dress that length - it looks more sophisticated/classy. What colour is your hair right now? x

I think that I might get the dress made long and then get it taken up after the wedding.
My hair is mid to dark brown and so burgundy streaks won't be a drastic change.

Eycky, that dress is absolutely beautiful, just as it is. Stunning! You will look fantastic in it! xo Cate

Hey Ecky
THat dress is lovely, very elegant and sexy too :) I'd think the length is nice. A good idea to get it long and then shorten it (its like getting 2 dresses really). Will you get that colour, its really beautiful.

Thank you all for the feedback. I love that colour so that is the colour I will get. It doesn't notice in the photo but the sleeves are actually a little detachable bolero so I will be able to keep it on to cover my droopy upper arms in the photos and take it off after as it will be very hot.
This dress more than anything has given me the incentive to lose the last of the weight as I am quite comfortable with my weight now but know that I would look better once I get rid of a bit more stomach. It should go off easily from there as really that is the only place left with too much fat. The only thing that will make me stop is if my face starts to go to drawn and wrinkly but I always did have quite a round chubby face even when I was skinny so I hope it won't be a problem.
You can come down to Hitchin and bully me at any time because I havn't got a gym partner yet and could do with some friendly motivation! ;)
LOL if you see somebody power walking all round Hitchin next January it's probably only me. They feed me so well when I'm in England that I need to walk as much as possible to walk it off :D

The dress is really spectacular and will look even better when you've got your slim self in it, showing it off.
The bolero is adorable. And shortening the dress later to a more wearable length is brilliant.

The highlights will be so fun...I can hardly wait until the big day and seeing all the pictures of you all dolled up. Such fun! It's great to have a huge event to look forward to. So motivating!

Thank you both. I'm glad that I had already started to lose weight when my son announced his marraige or the pressure would have been too much and I probably wouldn't have lost weight so easily. Now I know that I can do it and will be down to the weight I want by next July.:)
Not a good day yesterday food wise as I had the whole family round for lunch to see my neice's wedding video. She just got back from Vegas where she had an Elvis wedding. The video was great fun as they danced all the time and she looked like a princess.:) Anyway I ate far too much pastry but will make up for it by eating much less today.

Love the dress Ecky - you are going to look stunning!! Its an amazing colour and great that you are nearly there with the weight loss! How nice to reap the rewards!

Fingers crossed for your weigh-in today! That so great that you get your friends out walking and motivate them. I wish I lived closer to my sisters and girlfriends because I know what you mean about the time going fast when your chatting and walking.
I love the dress too and I'm sure you will get to where you want to be by May - lots of time to take it day by day.
I also know what you mean about being afraid to lose any more weight around your face - I used to have a really chubby face and although I didn't like it I didn't hate it either and its weird seeing such changes to your face - especially if it's not for the better. I'm afraid of looking sickly.
Keep it up Ecky - I think your back on a roll!

Dissapointing weigh in as I have gone up by 200grams but not really worried as it has gone so cold that I have much heavier clothes on and we weighed much later in the day this time. At least I'm convincing myself that is the reason and not all the pastry I ate on Sunday.
I'm going to an 18th birthday party and a wedding dinner this weekend so went out and bought a new dress as I only have one that's smart enough. I can't believe the dress that my daughter talked me into buying. It's bright red instead of my usual black or brown and is several inches above the knee. I was shocked by how good it looked and how slim my legs look. :D I would never had dreamed of trying on something like that. It doesn't cling but just skims nicely. I think that I will feel self conscious at first but as long as a get a couple of compliments I will be ok. If I get a decent photo at the party then I'll post it afterwards. It's so nice to be able to go out and not be embarrased about looking a total wreck:)

Isnt't that such a weird feeling? I wear clothes now that I never used to even THINK about wearing, but I still have this annoying little voice in my head that keeps telling me I'm fat and shouldn't wear that sort of thing. But then I get compliments or see pictures later and think oh hey, that DID look pretty darn good on me after all!

We just have to tell that little voice to SHUT THE HECK UP!

Because you WILL look awesome in that new sexy red dress!
