Omega's journey

Thanks Cate. I do put in hard work and time - but no more than you do yourself. You keep your section jumping with support. I adore your motivational sayings thread... I only wish that more of the forum saw it - but too many do not see the Cohens area.

I haven't been updating it as I don't go there any more either. Is there a better place for it? If so, I am happy for you to move it & then I will make a point of updating it. Cheers, Cate

I am tempted to try to think of somewhere.

It certainly needs regular bumping... We all need as much motivation as we can get to follow our plans.

Diet and Motivation is the obvious section, but it doesn't fit under any of the headings. Can it be added down the bottom perhaps? I would prefer it be called Motivational sayings, quotes etc, rather than it's current heading. Just a thought. In the meantime I'll try to remember to go over & put something new in each day. I'm not big on affirmations. Cheers, Cate.
PS I probably should have pm'd you this xo

Thanks Camila for your support.

Cate - I have put a query up in the mods section about whether we can have a bit of a reorg of the Diet and Motivation section. I think that we could do with a Further Motivation subsection (which would be ideal for this) and it would be no loss to have the threads in Contests moved to Challenges and there be no Contests subsection. It is Sean's forum so he gets to decide stuff like that - but he is a busy person so it makes sense to offer him ideas...

Congratulations Omega! I thought I was going crazy. I was still reading some of your old posts and all of a sudden it said "Super Moderator." I thought to myself, she said "It's a good thing I'm not a moderator!" I'm going to try that. I'm going to say "It's a good thing I'm not skinny!" LOL (didn't work!)

LOL if only it had worked... you might have been onto a new weight loss method... :biggrinjester:

I've been mentioning San's new challenge to everyone. It should be good. People that stick with the party games style challenges to the end tend to get fairly obsessive about picking up points and tend to get brilliant weight loss results... They always cause me to turn things up a notch...

Challenges always make me reminisce a little... I was certainly on a challenge when I got to goal...

Also when I hit all sorts of other big milestones...

I often got so that I hung out in the challenges more than in my diary back then... My main friends and I were often on the same challenge team so each challenge thread became almost like a shared diary.

Yay! You did well spreading the word. :) well done!

I got Lucy & Camila on board - really cool! :)

I m so pleased the challenge continues!

Justina and Tasha - thanks for visiting

I'm doing great thanks.

I'm really excited about the new challenge...

San said that the prize for the winner of the challenge would be a sticker for people to put in their signature... I know how motivating signatures are - the way that we use them... I love seeing my ticker - and by the time you have that in and maybe a phrase - there isnt a great deal of room for stickers... LOL especially if you join a new challenge and want to shout your team name like we did with "GOLD" (or "VICTORY" or "PLATINUM" for that matter)...

Anyway - I asked Sean (the owner and administrator of the forum) if the winner can have extra room in their signature for the following three months so that they get plenty of opportunity to show off their prize sticker without cutting back elsewhere...

Sean agreed - so if anyone has always wanted a bigger signature than their friends - all they need to do is join the challenge and win... :biggrinjester:

That means that MrVee need no longer have a message about the size limitations of his ticker and Don and Quercus can sing each other's praises with room to spare... Don has joined up - but the others should ask themselves whether they want to miss this opportunity...

It should be interesting...

I am curious to see who is going to win and what they do with the extra space...

When you were talking about "my ticker" I thought you were talking about my heart. Like I was like the Grinch and had a heart three sizes too small? :D

Then I realized you meant my signature. I'm a little slow sometimes... :)

LOL NO!!!! Nothing wrong with your heart... You are a warm and lovely person... I just told you yesterday that there will be loads of girls that would love to be courted by you - and that you should get out and start dating without delay...

When I was last on the forum the terms ticker and signature were basically synonymous as virtually everyone had a ticker (a bit like mine) in their signature field - then maybe a few words - just like I have...

Now we've sorted that out - get to the challenge thread so that you can earn some more signature space to get rid of that untidy message... :) You know that you could win if you enter... you can lose weight, you can exercise, you can follow healthy eating rules... Its all things that you know that you are good at!!!!

I saw the new challenge. I'm a little torn about joining it though. I don't necessarily want to put pressure on myself about losing weight, but I already do most of the things that get points and in the maximum amounts too.

The party games challenges are brilliant...

I was in lots of challenges here that ran from 2007 to 2009. Unfortunately - there is very little for maintenance on this forum - so virtually all the challenges because barred to me after I got to goal in 2009... The only challenge that I was able to join was run by me (because no-one else could be bothered to give points for maintaining a healthy BMI if you were already at goal... LOL in the end I left and went to another forum which was more interested in people in maintenance... Of course - when things got really stressful I didnt have time to go to ANY forum - so I gained weight...

If I am honest I don't know if I would have ever got all the way to goal if it hadn't been for the challenges... They were very good for keeping me on track...

Howdy Omega, just catchin up on the diaries. You've been doing great and I'm excited for the new challenge!!
