Omega's journey

Treadmill--GREAT!

Royalty? Cool!

I have never been to the British Isles save for Heathrow en route to France. I have gone to The Kingdom of Tonga in Nuku'alofa, the last monarchy of the South Pacific, and I stuck my head through the bars to get a better glimpse of the palace. I think I have a picture around here somewhere but the weather was crappy, here's one I didn't take:

Thank you for the kind words, yes we're both close to our goals, yay!!!

I dunno how I did it but I manage to stop eating my touble food before binging. I don't know how long it will last [it being my ability to not binge-eat]. I'm crossing my fingers!

HUGS!

I am so bad at portion control with certain foods that there is a severe danger that I will never get to maintenance (even though I am so close) if I allow myself too much leeway yet. I think that is something that I will have to practice for maintenance when I am in maintenance.

Honestly, I'm finding it easier to do without entirely, even in maintenance. I can have ice cream in the house without being tempted by it. I cannot have *my* ice cream (anything I buy specifically for myself, rather than specifically for others) in the house, or the package becomes a single serving at some point. Easier to pass up the temptation at the store than to face it constantly in the house.

The saving grace is that over a few days, the calories do even out. Even the day that I had an extra 1,200 ice cream calories, by the end of the week my total calories were right at maintenance levels, because I didn't feel like eating much the next few days. Having that happen a couple of times (thankfully not to the same extent) has given me some confidence for not controlling my food quite so tightly. When I was losing, I had a very tight calorie range, but I seem to do better in maintenance with more leeway.

Is that a new low I saw today? :)

That is awesome that you are staying away from your shreddies:)I typically drink abt 3 -4 liters of water a day. Typically a bad day is abt 2 liters...I think alot of time it has been my saving grace ya know.Bacause I drink the water it constantly flushes out my system:)...and with working nights I usually drink a cpl liters at work as well.

Your doing so well lately...great in fact!

I dont usually buy junk food as when it is in the house we all eat it. Plus my little one loves food and loves to eat and has to eat whatever we are eating.

Thanks for visiting. I have hardly got to the forum for a few days. On Thursday I had a busy day and had to do the packing. On Friday we travelled to Newcastle. We are always fairly busy when in Newcastle - spending time with family and friends. Saturday was my birthday too. The day went well from a diet and exercise perspective - and was enjoyable too. No cake or naughty cereal. Just my normal "good" food. I got some good walking in too with my pedometer over 11 miles by the end of the day. Birthday weight was down to 9st6.4 which is just a fifth of a pound higher than my low weight - from 8th July. I will reply to your individual messages when I get back from walking - but thought that I should post something in case people were wondering where I had got to.

Hey! Happy birthday for yesterday Margaret! Wow, no cake... well done!

Really well done on your loss this week! It's awesome!

Enjoy your walk!

Thanks for visiting.

i'm sorry to hear about your cheese stick struggle. I love those too - but havent had any for such a long time. I hope that you manage to keep away from them for a while when you finish your current supply.

I am pleased to report that I am managing to get into some clothes from my youth - and it is such a great feeling. I was so amused to get into one very old T-shirt that I found yesterday. It is questionable how appropriate it looked when I was young - but I decided that "Too drunk to funk" did not quite go with the current image!

Kimberly
I have still managed to keep away from the cereal and am nearly back down to my low weight - 9st6.6 today. Still drinking 3 litres of water a day until I get a new low.

Hiram sounds a pretty unusual name to me. If you tie into the other person's tree - you still want to see their evidence to check their tree. Some people are more serious about their genealogy than others. I have known people just guess who the person they want is just because they have found a christening for someone with the same name. Wills and censuses provide great evidence.

Nice palace. We went out to a stately home this afternoon.
We went round and had a walk in the grounds. They hads some people doing Scottish dancing and clog dancing.

Well done for keeping away from the tempting stuff. I hope that I can manage that in maintenance (like you) - but only time will tell.

Phoebe
Staying away from temptation is in many ways so much easier. My calories are (I am sure) currently evening out with my food a week ago - but I am pretty sure that it is due to guilt and the desire to get a new low before I start to retain water again in about a week's time.

I was down to 132.2 (9st6.2) on 8th July - just before I started to retain water due to TOM. Then while I was retaining water I worked out that according to the calculation I could cut my water from 2.5 litres to 2 litres. I did this and watched my weight shoot up. After 2 days I put my water back up to 2.5 litres and my weight stayed up. Then I started being naughty with nibbling cereal - and not too surprisingly my weight stayed up. I am trying to both be good and have 3 litres of water until things get sorted out. I will go back to 2.5 litres of water at 132.0 pounds.

Thanks for the birthday greetings. I am pleased that my weight is coming back down - but my loss is small compared to some of your excellent recent losses. The weather has been nice so I have enjoyed my walking today.

Cerella
You are so good - drinking 3 to 4 litres of water a day. But I have a struggle getting my 3 litres in at the minute. i dont think that I could manage 4 litres.

It is great that you can keep junk food out of the house. It should mean that your daughters do not develop a taste for some of the foods that could potentially cause them a lot of harm. That's brilliant!

Take care

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I'm so sorry I missed it yesterday. I didn't get online (or even on my computer at all) the whole day, as it was a very busy one.

Glad to see your weight is back down. Well done for getting it there. :hurray:

Are you enjoying your time in Newcastle? Wallington looks beautiful. If I lived in the UK, I'd certainly invest in a NT membership, too. :)

I didn't know, but Happy birthday!!!!!!! Does it feel amazing being your new age and fitting into T shirts old enough to want to say that you were too drunk to funk? I imagine it would!

I am lucky that I grew wider as I grew taller, so I can't fit into thin clothes my size because there never were any... there must be some jeans I used when I was 130 (4 or 5 years ago) but I think I actually donated them to my granma (who is one thin and sexy lady!).

I hope you are having a wonderful year, it will be the year you reach your weight goal and start maintaining which will be a new adventure in itself!
Have a wonderful week, Camy

:seeya:HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, MARGARET (you skinny thing, you!!!)

I surely do hope that you enjoyed your b-day. It sounds pleasant, with a trip and visiting loved ones, etc. And good for you on the walking! You must be thrilled to be so close again to your lowest weight! I hope you are absolutely gobsmacked every time you see your own reflection in the mirror, and that this year turns out to be your best yet!

blessings to you my friend:Angel_anim:

Happy Belated B-Day M!
I am sure that I had some clothes back in the day that would in no way be appropriate to wear now!
Glad to hear that you had such a nice visit.

Thanks for visiting. Thanks for so many great birthday wishes. I took my walk into Newcastle this morning and went to Bravissimo and got an everyday bra, a strapless bra and a bathing costume. Last fitting was December - size 36J - fitted again today and I am now 30HH. I am pleased with my new purchases as all my clothes look better with the new bras.

Kimberly
It looks like we have both been juggling some very busy days. I certainly am enjoying being in Newcastle. National Trust membership is great value for people that live in England. There are actually three very similar organisations that you can join that each give a different pool of properties. We have often been members of National Trust or English Heritage (sometimes both!) I believe that there is a third similar organisation - but I have never been a member of that.

Camy
I have to say that it is brilliant getting into some of my old clothes. I am really regretting having given so many clothes to charity when we moved house. Whether or not they are appropriate to wear - it is like a reunion with old friends every time I manage to get one of my old items of clothing on.

There are many things that I do not like about being 49 years of age - but I am quite certain that I will get to my goal weight at 49.

Tyly
There was no reason that anyone would know that it was my birthday. It is great that I have had so many sweet birthday wishes.

Janice
I am sure that you too find it wonderful when we catch a glimpse of a slim person in a mirror or reflected in a window. It is truly amazing for me because I have been so big for so long.

Liz
Believe it or not - I havent found it yet - but distinctly remember having a "too pissed to twist" t-shirt that I got at the same time!

Sarah
Thanks

Dawn
I am having a lovely visit - although the weather (having been sunny so far) is a little dull today. The weather forecast shows better weather at home - but there are more important things than the weather. We will go back home on Friday.

Take care

Margaret
