Omega's journey

Thanks for visiting. Thanks for more birthday greetings. I was rather pleased today as my weight hit 9st6.0 - i.e. 132.0 - a new low.

I still havent tracked down "too pissed to twist" - maybe some lucky person picked it up at a charity shop when a lot of my stuff was discarded on the house moves. I really regret getting rid of so much stuff. Next time that I have a photo taken I will show "too drunk to funk" to you.

I have to say that I am pretty pleased at the way that I look in my new bras. I went for my regular laser session today to sort out my facial hair. The lady who zaps me made my day by asking if I had already had my breast reduction surgery. Her business has just recently been taken over by an organisation that promotes weight loss - i believe via pills / very low calorie products. Anyway - I was introduced to her new colleagues who were surprised to hear of my weight loss. They were really friendly and were telling me that they have clients (who have lost less weight than me) that are getting tummy tucks and other loose skin removal surgery on the NHS. I found this whole conversation very interesting.

I even surprised myself by my self control regarding cake. I have to say that I intend to be less controlled by my next birthday. Two controlled birthdays in a row is enough for anyone.

I hope that you have a wonderful birthday on Monday. I have never wished to be another sign - as Leo does suit me. I have always enjoyed basking in the sun at every opportunity - hence my appreciation of Greece - just as a lion enjoys basking in the sun. Quite a few of my friends are Leos too. We are spending all day tomorrow (Wednesday) with my friend Sally - and it is her birthday tomorrow.

Take care
Love
Margaret

LOL!!! Yes, I shall be basking in the sun in Hawaii from 8/22 to 8/31, YAY!

Also, my friends Travis and Vanessa have their birthdays in a row before mine: 2nd, 3rd, & 4th!

Finally, a real vacation--after 3 years!! :D

 Congrats on the new low! David sends his congrats as well. Only 8lbs to go!! :hurray:

That would be awesome if you could get not only a boob job on the NHS, but loose skin removed as well. :)

I am so sad that "Too Pissed to Twist" is gone. Perhaps I'll have a new one made up for you as a Christmas present.

HA HA HA:cheers2:Good to hear Margaret:party:You certaintly deserve it:grouphug:

Thats so great that she thought you had had surgery allready!
Its amazing what a good fitting bra can do =D
It sounds like its worth asking your GP about other sorts of surgery - it all counts on the GP referal so if you can convince them you would be sorted!
I think you should be able to get whatever you want/need considering you have lost all the weight by yourself and not with the help of -e.g.- a gastric band or something.

A new Bravissimo has opened in Liverpool but I havent been in yet, I've not had much money with going on holiday but I get paid next Thursday so I might go on a bit of a shopping spree!

Thanks for visiting. Sorry that I have been absent - but things have been busy recently. We spent all day Wednesday with John and Sally - and it was Sally's birthday. I am sure that most diary visitors are all too aware that the days that I spend with them are dramatically less controlled regarding food than when I am at home. This visit was no exception. Needless to say that my weight is now up. Another highlight of the past week is that I have taken lots of big clothes to a charity shop. Before going to Newcastle I identified three bin bags full of clothes - and decided that I would hand them in up in Newcastle. I took them to the charity shop yesterday. We have travelled back home today.

Valerie
It is funny how birthdays group up like that. My friend Graham's birthday was Wednesday too. I know that you will have a wonderful time in Hawaii - but since you live in California I imagine that you get plenty of opportunity to bask in the sun when you are at home too - you lucky girl.

Kimberly
Dont write off "too pissed to twist" just yet. There are plenty more boxes in Newcastle to go through. That house is huge and there are loads of boxes which contain stuff that has been put into storage - with no list or label as to what is where. I know that some contain my clothes as there are still things that I have knitted that I would never discard and my mother swears that she would not have discarded either. This leads me to believe that there are still boxes which contain my old clothes among them. Thanks for the congratulations. Lack of food control on Wednesday means that the low did not last for long - but I will get back there soon. It is always nice to regain the territory.

Thanks. It is nice to have the end in sight - even if I wiggle upwards.

Cerella.
I refused cake on my birthday - but could not manage to repeat the trick on Sally's birthday. At least we went out for a good walk and I got up to 13.5 miles on Wednesday.

Shannon
I fully intend to have cake on my next birthday. It is always difficult to control food while enjoying any sort of social life. I would hate to appear rude and refuse cake on a friend's birthday - but we have to accept that less controlled eating does get reflected (short term) on the scales. I am confident that it will go down in a few days.

Becky
Bravissimo is a wonderful shop - and I am sure that you will love it. They sell lovely things and - when you consider that you just have to turn up and say that you would like a bra fitting - they find something that fits perfectly. It is seldom the size that you are already wearing - and it really makes all the clothes that you wear look much better because your shape looks better. You dont pay that much more than you would pay somewhere like M&S for something that you realise was never going to really fit properly. They have a great range of sizes.

Angel
Thanks. Dont worry about being late as I have hardly been on the forum over the past week as I have been in Newcastle since before my birthday.

Take care

I'm happy you had a good trip to Newcastle and enjoyed yourself. I am waiting for your next one in hopes that "Too pissed to twist" turns up. :D

Glad to have you back! :hug2:

Thanks for visiting.

Valerie
Enjoy the celebrations. A three day party sounds like a good idea.

Kimberly
I am hoping to get to Greece before we go up to Newcastle next. Every visit to Newcastle turns into a bit of a treasure hunt as you never know quite what you will find next.

Weight is still up but coming down.

Take care

Hi there!

It looks like you are doing splendid with your goals. I'm very impressed with the determination you have shown and continue to show. I hope summer keeps going well for you. I recently bought a bike and after a few rough weeks of a sore behind, I am now cruising all over the place. I feel like a kid again. It's been so much fun and is getting me way more active than the gym or exercise videos I have.

I'm looking forward to hearing more of your amazing journey as you continue on.

Peg

Hi Peg

Thanks for your words of encouragement.

It is great to hear that the bike is working out so well for you. Anything that makes any of us feel like a kid again has to be well worth while.

Now that you mention it - I have a bike in the garage that I could dig out sometime and play with. We last used them in one of our "get fit" projects in the mid 1990s. I remember it was funny as Rod and I went out a couple of times on them locally (and once in Richmond park). The neighbourhood kids called at the house with their bikes to see if Rod wanted to come out to play!

Talking of exercise videos - I have been expanding my collection by visiting a few charity shops. I plan to copy them to DVD for ease of playing (I know that this is not strictly legal) - but DVDs are so much more practical to use. Many of the videos that I have been buying are comparitively old - so tell myself that they have probably never been out on DVD and never will be.

Take care
Love
Margaret

It doesnt take much to make my weight go up!.......

At least it has come back down now. Nicely in time for my normal gain (I have just noticed that it is day 22 in my cycle).

It is great that you are all trampoline junkies. I have to say that it does sound lots of fun and will be great exercise. When my niece was little (about twenty years ago) her parents hired a bouncy castle for her birthday party one year. When all her small friends had gone home - it was the opportunity for all us aunties and uncles to play on it.

I can just see you and Rod bicycling around Richmond Park. How fun!

I see you've hit 131lbs!! Fantastic.

So are you planning the Greece trip atm? Is that still on for September?

Hi Kimberly

Naturally I am pleased to have hit a new low - but I know that it will not last long as I am about to start gaining again. It seems that between the problem with the cereal and going away I never lost much weight over the past four weeks - but I suppose that having survived a trip away, my birthday, wedding anniversary, other birthdays and ending up any lower is a lot better than things might have been.

One of these days I will dig out my bike again. I remember that getting to Richmond Park was more of a problem than we anticipated because the bikes did not easily fit into the car that we had at the time.

The Greek trip is still being solidly discussed for early September. We have been checking out flights and are seriously considering flying from Stanstead - in order to fly Aegean. They used to fly from Heathrow - where we can still fly Olympic. Aegean fly the planes that Rod prefers on all flights (and have recently invested in new planes) whereas Olympic only use that size of plane on certain flights and change it depending on how full they get on an individual flight basis. When both flew from Heathrow - we used to prefer Aegean - but they left the UK market for a while. There is a definite difference in seat sizes between the different plane types - even in business class.

Our friends John and Sally just got back home from Greece a couple of weeks ago so we spent part of Wednesday going over gossip from Greece. We also do speak reasonably often to our Greek friends - one of which is holding a tourist apartment for us for the first two weeks of September. As far as I am aware - no-one in Greece knows that have lost as much weight - although I have mentioned that I do a lot of walking nowadays. I think that some people will get a surprise when I see them.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Oooo Margaret your going on holiday, your friends in Greece will be wondering who this woman is with Rod because they probabaly won't recognise you!

I can't believe how little time it has taken you to lose so much weight - 7lb to go, Amazing!
