Omega's journey

Thanks for visiting. I really do not understand my cycles at all since my operation. Prior to my operation - I was really predictable regarding my period and water retention (dependable 28 day cycle). My period came early while I was in hospital just after my operation which upset my cycle. Last month it came after 27 days and my water retention was pretty much as ever. This month it was about 33 days and I did not seem to retain water at all. It actually was
Saturday - new low
Sunday - new low
Monday - Saturday weight again - so very acceptable rise - period start in evening
Tuesday - new low!!!!!
This is a very acceptable turn of events. It is just confusing when you have seen a trend over a whole year for it all not not to happen that way. Also I dont know why - but I feel so tired.

Kimberly
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Anke
All still on track.

Thanks Margaret,
Did drink plent of water and I feel much better allready with not eating any rubbish today!

Your weight has gone down so fast - which is fine obviously!
its amazing you only have 17lb to go now, you will be there in no time at all.
Talk soon X

Thanks for visiting.

Kimberly (BikiniBound) and I spent yesterday together walking all around central London. When you consider the fact that she recently did 40 miles in one day - it really should not be too surprising that we covered quite a decent mileage in our "fun day out sightseeing". We ate healthily - bringing a healthy picnic and eating outdoors.

She brought me one of those Fiber One bars that she eats often - and it was really good. I wish that we could get those over here! 140 calories for a chocolate bar which contains 9 grams of fibre. I can definitely recommend them!

I have just got some new jeans - which are UK size 10. I wore them for the occasion as the first time of wearing. When I was getting the jeans - I tried on another pair (I didnt like the colour as much) which also fitted which was labelled UK size 10, US size 6. I am sure that many people will empathise with the fact that I was feeling pretty slim in those size 10 jeans for the first time!

Becky
I am pleased that you are feeling better.

I am really not sure that I will bother going down by the full 17 pounds. I have had the same goal weight on my ticker since I was a lot bigger. I had to put something - and I was so big! That was just a weight where I felt very comfortable when I was your age. I know that I will not want to go lower than that. I know that my body has changed (different shaped boobs) so I may get the same waist size at a different weight. My 10 per cent goal at my slimming club is set to 9 and a half stone (133). After that I think that I will set my next interim goal at 9 stone (126) and see what I look like there as I know that I am not where I want to be yet. I really want my wedding ring to fit before I think about stopping.

Take care
Love

I'm jealous...walking around London with a WLF buddy. Sounds like you two had a great time. I've met a few online buddies. It's generally been a positive experience.

I'll be you can order those fiber one bars. You might have to order a case at a time...but I'll bet you can get them.

Hi Judy

It was tons of fun. We are meeting up again on Sunday - that way we can get our walking exercise in together and we can keep each other firmly on track regarding food (we kept noticing nice aromas coming from restaurants and take-away places - but kept walking straight past). We even slotted in a couple of museums - and I have to say that the London parks were looking good and the weather smiled on us. She clearly brought the good weather with her sunny disposition.

She clearly has been lucky for me as I got a new low today (9st10.0 i.e. 136.0 pounds). I just need her to come out walking with me more often.

I will have to investigate those fiber one bars. I did a bit of a google on them earlier - but couldnt see an obvious supply option. I clearly need to do more research on the subject.

Take care
Love
Margaret

i will be happy to give you the remainder of my supply of fiber one bars on sunday..lol i have about 5 of them left00i brought two boxes with me. :biggrinjester: i'm sure that shipping them to the uk would cost about 3x their value..lol.

cognrats on the new low!

we did have awesome weather yesterday. must be my sunny disposition is gone today, as it looks like it's gonna pour down any minute. :biggrinjester:

see you sunday! :biggrinjester:

Margaret,

Congats on the new low! Just from reading your journal, I can feel your excitement for your progress. You truly are inspirational.:iagree:

Keep at it, and great getting into the UK 10! Yeah!!! I can't wait to wear a nice pair of jeans. You motivate me, thanks margaret!

Go Blue! bye bye

Thanks for visiting. Thanks for the congratulations on the new low. I cannot believe that I am getting them this week! I really was not expecting any new lows for a while yet - I just never stopped getting them this month! I dont know what I have done to deserve this - if I knew I would do it again! Today's weight 9st9.4 - another new low and the first time my weight has been expressed in single digits for a very very long time (like since the last time I was under 9st10!!!)

Kimberly
You are so sweet offering me your stash of chockie bars. They are so yummy - but I would feel bad about marring your holiday by depriving you of your stocks.

I dont know about the centre of town - but out here it has certainly looked dull and drizzled a little - but never got too bad. I hope that it has been no worse than that in town. It has been weather to have the kagoul in the bag with you at all times - but you might not need to put it on.

I hope that the weather is a bit better for us all tomorrow. See you then.

Thanks for the lovely compliments. I could certainly not have stuck to it all this time without the ongoing motivation and support from everyone here. At first I thought that I was trying to do something almost impossible - and it was great for me to find this forum and find real contactable people who had already lost more than I was trying to lose. I firmly believe that if we all stick with it - keep coming to the forum - and do what we know that we need to do regarding firm control of our food and consistant exercise - we can all make our weightloss dreams come true.

As we continue our projects - different obstacles loom up ahead. I can see than I am heading towards a weight where I will accept that I will need to stop losing. My current major issue is not so much how or whether I will get there. It is how I will cope with maintenance. This is an issue that monopolises many of my thoughts and concerns.

It really is a delight to be in my new jeans. Brilliant also that I could share the first day of wearing them with a close WLF chum - someone who appreciates that there is a major joy in getting into something that is a size that you never thought that you could wear - a size that you have not been in well over 20 years. Friends that have never struggled with their weight could never appreciate how momentous such occasions are.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Thanks JennaRenee.

I last showed photos at 147 pounds - which gives a good idea. They are on page 124 of this diary.

I have just come down another jeans size since then.

Wow, Marg, I'm so sorry I missed all of your new milestones, honey. As you know, work and life have kept me incredibly busy.

Congratulations on reaching 134!! This is such a "WOW" moment for me. That is just AMAZING!!! I'm so very proud of you!

You know what, never ever tell yourself you don't deserve to be at a new low. I mean, look at EVERYTHING you're doing and everything you've been through!!! Of course you deserve to have reached this milestone, sweetie!! Never tell yourself otherwise!!

Size 10 jeans!? Well done =D

Thank you for the post in my diary, you always have something sensible and reassuring to say when Im being irrational!

If you don't decide to go down to 119lb then im sure you will settle at a weight that is right for you - and like you say the next challenge is maintaining that weight, although I have a feeling you will do just fine =)

Hi Margaret!
I have missed checking up on you. Just been so busy what with summer getting here. I thought for sure that life would slow down a bit but guess I was wrong. LOL
With the kids being home 24/7, VBS for church, work and camping with the family time is just flying by.
Unfortunately it has also gotten so busy that I haven't been trying so very hard at the weight loss and it is starting to really show on the scale. I am up by about 10 pounds :banghead:.
But I can see that you have stayed right on track!
WOW you are just about to where you wanted to be. I can't begin to tell you how very proud I am. You certainly have more will power than I do. LOL
Sounds like you had a very nice time visiting with Kimberly. Wish that I could have been there too. Maybe you can come this way and then the Omega 3's can finally all be together in person.
Well I gotta go.
My grocery list is calling.
Catch ya later!

Thanks for visiting. Thanks for all your congratulations. It is a real joy to have a weight that does not have chubby implications for me. I am not yet where I want to be - but I can feel myself getting there. I am getting so much pleasure from wearing these smaller jeans.

Rae
We always love hitting those milestones.

Becky
We all have little set-backs. Dont let yours get you down. It is hardly surprising that you got a little off-track with those exams. A levels take over life for everyone. It is a long time - but I can still remember mine. The main thing is that you are back on track now.

Dawn
I know just what you mean about life getting in the way. It has been just the same for me. I have actually just been in your diary - and made one or two comments about your little gain. Dont focus too much on the number. You know that a frighteningly big gain can disappear really quickly as everything gets back on track.

It has really been brilliant seeing Kimberly - so much fun. I am pleased to report that Rod thoroughly enjoyed the time that we spent with Kimberly and her husband too. I have certainly started hinting to Rod that a holiday in the USA next year would make a great change. You never know - with a little wifely persuasion we may yet manage to arrange an Omega-3 get-together - or even and Omega-6 one with husbands involved too!!!

Take care

Now that sounds like a whole lot of fun!
Should I drop Rod a line to help prod him along? LOL :smilielol5:

:hurray:Well done on your brilliant new size, Margaret! I am so pleased for you! You are working so hard to achieve your goals, and it is really paying off.

What a treat for you to have a visit with another gal from the WL forum! I so enjoy my time spent on here, and have gained much encouragement from others like you.

Keep up the FANTASTIC work! You are getting so close now...

Cheers
