Omega's journey

new low!!!!!

After walk weight
Wednesday 27/02/2008 11st 2.0 i.e. 156.0 pounds

I cannot believe that I have got a new low as it is day 26 of my cycle.
I am convinced that I have been retaining water since Saturday which fits right in with my normal pattern.
I can only conclude that my new food plan is so effective I have lost more fat than the water that I am holding.

Congratulations Marg, on your new low!!

Yahoo!!

Your food plan MUST be working!! Keep this up chica, you'll hit your goal in no time.

Thanks for visiting keepitoff83 and Rae

Thanks also for your congratulations. I really did not expect any more new lows for another week and a bit. I got such a surprise when I got on the scales.

I am so pleased that I changed my food plan.

Thanks Shannon.

It was very tasty and really cheap. I managed to get 2 courgettes at a bargain price (10 pence) so decided to have something based on that. Hubby was having something else. I always begrudge paying the silly prices for courgettes since we have a plentiful supply all summer long when they grow easily. I normally have loads of courgette meals in the summer and hardly any in the winter.

What is a Courgette? I imagine it is some sort of vegetable?

Your new low's and food plan give me such confidence in my food plan Margaret!
Congrats on the new low. Hopefully next week I will be able to say the same thing!

Dawn - I believe that you call a courgette a zucchini. We love them - especially with garlic. Every year I plant 4 courgette plants and we get tons of them all summer long. Truth be told we normally pick our last courgette in November. I really begrudge paying about 60 pence to 70 pence each for them in the shops so we hardly buy any in the winter.

Thanks for your congratulations.

I am sure that your food plan will work out great for you. I really didnt want to change mine - but it is working out so well now.

Thanks Angel - but 11 stone will come to you first. You will be there any day now - maybe the next time you get on those scales.

Mmm...zucchini/courgettes--whatever you call them, I love them. :D

Congratulations on the new low!!

This new eating plan is really paying off if you're losing weight while still retaining water. Brilliant!

:biggrinjester:WELL DONE, MARGARET!!

Wow, every time I stop by it seems there is less of you! It gives me such pleasure to know that you are working hard and achieving success. You must feel BRILLIANT. What on earth are you doing for clothes these days? Did you keep any of your originals? What sizes are you wearing now (though UK sizes differently than U.S./Canada)?

KEEP IT UP! You make me proud.:Angel_anim:

Thanks for visiting.

Only change scales if you are convinced that the other one is better and you can handle the numerical change (which means nothing as your body has not changed at all as part of the scale migration process). Stick to the old scale if you feel better about yourself.

Thanks - obviously my weight will not hold down - but it is always nice to get a surprise like that. I adore courgettes - and eat them all the time in the summer. It is amazing how many you get from 4 plants. I can end up with an entire shelf of my fridge filled with courgettes! You have to pick them to encourage new growth. Some years I end up making courgette chutney.

The great thing about this forum is that we are all achieving success together. I am encouraged by seeing how near to goal you and others have got. Enthusiasm is infectious - and it keeps us all motivated to keep working hard.

I have all my old clothes still. I havent dared to part with them in case I go into some form of denial and try to think that I wasnt too big after all. It will be a major step for me to get rid of them. Some people keep their big clothes in case they get big again - but I keep mine because I am frightened that I might if I lost my drive to escape them.

Our clothes sizes are different. When I was young (photos page 75) I was UK size 12 - and that is the kind of size that I would dearly like to head back towards - at least for my lower half (my boobs are so deformed now that I do not believe that they will naturally shrink properly). I still have an open mind about the concept of surgery later.

A year ago I was between size 30 and 32. It was a little bit concerning because we do not have too many shops that cater for the larger lady here - the main chain is called Evans - and I was at the top end of their size range. I did sometimes wonder where I would get my clothes if I got any bigger and never found a practical solution.

My waist is not currently a normal shape. It bulges quite dramatically at the front - and my doctor is uncertain what is causing it. I am awaiting an ultrasound test to see what that reveals. This has an impact on the size of clothes that I can wear. Size 18 clothes are too large for me. Size 16 skirts with a firm waistband can barely fasten and are too tight to wear. I wear yoga pants, t-shirt and sweatshirt all the time. The yoga pants have an elasticated waist. The size 16s got way too big and so I wear size 14s. I think that I will be a lot happier with my clothes size if I get this bulge sorted out.

When I was big - I had got rid of quite a lot of my old clothes. I made the decision to send everything less than about size 20 away to charity. Luckily I had quite a lot of clothes in the sizes above that. My weight had increased rapidly - but I was working (in moderately formal surroundings) and needed quite a few formal outfits in each size. I kept them all in a basket and wondered if ever I would shrink into them. For the most part the smaller clothes went to charity (or at least that was the intention).

As far as current clothes go - I now have no real need for formal clothes - so yoga pants, t-shirts and sweatshirts suffice. I fortunately found some t-shirts and sweatshirts from when I was on the way up. I had put them in a bag to give to charity when I gave tons of old clothes away and it had got put away instead. It was like finding a treasure trove. That is where the three size 16 skirts came from! I have been buying yoga pants at Tescos for £6 and multipacks of knickers at £2.50 also from Tescos. I would have never envisaged being able to buy clothes at Tescos (where we buy our groceries). It forms a perfectly good interim wardrobe.

heya Omega, just checking in, I can see you are doing super fantasticly. I hope you kept a photo or two or some of the older clothes so you can look back on that part of your life (for what reason i have no idea!).

Do we get some more before/after pics ? :D

155.8!!!!!!!

That is fantastic!!

I am wondering if the "bulge" at your waist is a cyst or something. I'm glad you had it checked out. Keep us posted on the ultrasound results. :)

I'm sure your extra hungar was from :reddevil:'s impending visit. I always get that way, too. :smash:

Hey there miss fantastic!! great job making it to 155 YOU ROCK! You inspire me each month, to not give up an keep on moving forward, thank you sooo much!! I've missed a lot of your past pages, so I'm not sure if you have recently posted new pics of yourself since the last time a few months ago?? Hows the hubby doing?? Better yet, how are you doing? I read something about a cyst? or should I say a possible cyst, I know you haven't made a comment since my twin posted that, but hope your doing well, and all is good and nothing is wrong!
