Omega's journey

:newangel:

I definitely think that you will get there first - you are well ahead of me but I know that sometimes the pounds elude you while your inches come flying off.

If it helps to motivate you and keep your exercising like you have been recently - I am certainly going to head for it as quickly as I can. Consider it a friendly race and beat me to the post. I can assure you that I will be more than happy to see you win if it is done quickly. I will however get pretty impatient if we arent there before too long.

lol kk! recently the inches have stayed stationary though while the pounds are coming off. my body is a confused thing. it can't multitask and get rid of both things at once. i hope i start to lose inches as well soon. i think if i had a choice i'd rather the inches come off but oh well as long as i'm losing something its fine!

My waist has gone down less than an inch since I was over 13 and a half stone! I would dearly like to have inches too - but I dont seem to be getting them from my waist. All the rest of me is going down nicely in inches - but my waist just doesnt want to!

Congrats on 159.6!!!!!!!!!! WooHoo!! Go Margaret, Go Margaret!! :hurray::hurray::hurray:

I hear ya on the waist not losing many inches. My inches seem to come mainly from my hips--which were never that bad to begin with..lol. It's my waist that needs to lose it most. My gym owner said that she has noticed that we seem to lose where we least need it first, and the areas that need to lose it most lose it last..lol. Such is life, eh? :cuss:

I think I'm going to start eating more fruits and veggies...lol

Thanks Kimberly.

Tell me about it regarding the waist. In the same time frame I mentioned earlier I have lost 2.5 inches from my ribs, 4 inches off my bust and 2 inches off my right thigh. If only we could pick and choose where it comes from next.

I have to say that I would be stunned if you were hungry if you ate the quantities of cereal, fruit and veg that I had on Sunday. I can assure you that I have a good appetite.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Wow Margaret!
I go to work for one weekend and you start hitting more milestones!!!
How AWESOME!!!!
You are an inspiration for all of us who feel that we can't get it done.
For crying out loud if a 48yr old women can do it than certainly a 35yr old can as well.
I have no more excuses now. LOL :smilielol5:
Congrats!
You deserve all the success that you achieve!

Bella, we are the same age. We should try to get together in Shipshewana this summer. You can show me around, as I've never been there. :)

Margaret, I took your advice re eating for fruit and veggies and made a chicken veggie stir-fry. Here's what was in it: chicken breast (duh), tomatoes, red bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, tons of broccoli, a bit of soy sauce, fresh garlic, salsa and sesame oil. Low cal and very filling. :cheers2:

Yes, it is annoying about not being able to choose the areas where the fat falls off..lol. I would choose my waist and face first, but that is not how it goes. :(

Thanks for visiting

Dawn

I have to say that I love hitting milestones. It kind of sets you up for heading for the next one. The great thing about this forum is that we are all doing it together. We are all having successes. Both you and Kimberly are 35 year old women who are doing it. I wish that I had done it when I was 35 - but I was weak and made mistakes. I confused "impossible" and "very very difficult". I was too critical of my errors and abandoned projects because I ate too much or gained weight (or both). I could feel a failure if my calorie count went above a magic number - even if I was losing weight. I dieted with my husband and abandoned projects if he chose to abandon his. I read that to lose weight you had to walk briskly, jog or run. I knew that I could not do any of these so stopped walking even though I had started doing so. I believe that over the years I have made every mistake in the book.

Kimberly

That stir-fry sounds absolutely yummy. I am eating my apple as I type.

Take care

Okay, I'm eating this tonight. No question. As soon as I'm done with this, I'm frying some up.

Oh honey, we'd ALL choose those two particular places for the fat to fade first. Happily, I've quite angular features when it pertains to my face, but my waist can still use work. That's why I'm using your recipe tonight. You have me salivating more than George Clooney's profile on the front of T.V Guide Magazine. :biggrinjester:

:hurray: Way to go Margrett 159 you rock!:hurray:
You are on a roll I told everyone of my friends on here that this year
is going to be the year that we put VICTORIA SECRET out of buisness!!
Have a FAB Monday,Tammy:hurray:

Thanks Tammy

We are both hitting those milestones and racing towards our goal weights. We are getting slimmer all the time now. We are both definitely going to do it this time.

No Problemo!
It would be awesome to meet you "face to face".
And I think that you would absolutely LOVE Shipshewana.
I know I do! Especially on flea market days. You can spend the whole day walking up and down aisle after aisle of stuff and never get to the end of it.
Just let me know and it will be a date. *You know the flea market runs an Wednesday as well as Tuesday!* TLD! LOL

I've still got 2 servings of the stir-fry left. But I'm a selfish only child, and I'm not sharing with anyone...:biggrinjester:

Actually, I think lots of women would rather lose it in the hips first. Pear-shaped women whose waists are not so bad in comparison to their hips and thighs generally prefer to lose more there in the beginning. But I'm an apple, so I carry the majority of my weight in my big fat (but shrinking) gut..lol Also, my face looks puffy until I get under 190lbs.

Yes, and we could go to an Amish run restaurant and :piggy: out on all the yummy food, too. :biggrinjester: Hey, we'll walk it off at the flea market. I will let you know, though, that I'm not sure how into flea markets I would be..lol. I've never been--and I am not a fan of yard sales unless I'm looking for something in particular. :) It could be fun to look, though.

Well there is a ton of other things to do. That is just one of the biggest things that they have going on during the summer.
As far as restaraunt's go The Blue Gate is "da bomb"!
They have a breakfast buffet to die for.
Real bacon not that skinny crumbly crap you get at other places. They also have belgium waffles, pancakes, homemade muffins.....ect.
And the best coffee around.
Just let me know. It would be fun.

I think that it is great that you are arranging to meet up - but this is too much talk of food for my diary!!!!
Really nice sounding food!!!!!!!!

Sorry Margaret! :blush5:
I will keep my comments to myself. I don't eat at buffets anymore. I feel that the price is to high in more ways than one.
And it is to bad that you couldn't meet up with us too!

The coffee you could keep but the rest of it sounded so tempting. I started being able to almost taste it - my mouth was watering so much.

It is a shame - but I am just a bit too far away.

I think more than anything it is the way the Amish cook their food more than the actual food stuff itself.
It is no wonder that so many of them are overweight.
Once the ladies group from my church went to an Amish lady's house for a dinner.
Very interesting as they have no electricity. But over all I swear the food was laced with some kind of drug. It was that good!
Of course it was probably the drugs called butter and fat!!! LOL
I don't even want to think about how many calories I ate at that meal.
YIKES!!!
There is no way now, knowing what I do, that I could blindly eat like that again.
They do say that ignorance is bliss.

You should have asked the lady for her recipe. She might have told you her secret. Having said that - then you would be having problems resisting your own cooking.

You will have to make sure that when you and Kimberly go on this jaunt - she has not set calorie counting in a challenge.

I cannot say that I see a point to life without electricity if it is available (I understand that Amish people have their own spin on these things). The village in Greece did not get electricity until the 1970s. A lot of our friends spent their childhood with no electricity. My friend Maria says that it was nicer because you enjoyed the stars more. They tell us how they all crowded around when the first person bought a generator and hooked it up.
