Hi Kim

You are so busy - leave my diary to the very bottom of your list - I know that you care about me. Just get your life sorted out - I'll be thinking about you.

Have A Happy Thursday Margaret! :hug2:

How is hubby's knee now? Hope everything is ok. :)

All of the menu items sound yummo! ;) lol

Hi Stacy

I hope that you have a great Thursday too.

Hubby's knee is still a bit dodgy so no walking together tonight. Still my pedometer has turned 10 miles so that is me in for tonight too.

I am nibbling some honey shreddies as I type - I love them.

We are having roast chicken later on. I dug some potatoes out the garden for hubby this afternoon (there was ice in among the soil) - but I wont have any as I am trying to be strict.

Take care

Hey Margaret,

I am pretty reclusive, always have been. And when I am walking I love that time out just drifting in my own thoughts. I find it really relaxing.

The Greek Isles sound awesome, one of the places I hope to go to one day (there are many places on my list).

Well, I am offto write in my diary, and then a busy day preparing to go away tomorrow to NZ, so will call back in next wednesday. Have a fabulous weekend.

I see your weight has gone back below 175--nice. :) I was also happy to see the weather was sunny instead of rainy.

I think it would be unfair for you to get stuck in economy while your hubby is rewarded with biz or 1st class b/c of his weight. If anything it should be the reverse..lol. However, I imagine the flight is only a couple of hours long. I like the idea of you going for a long time without him--would kinda serve him right for the econ/1st class idea. :biggrinjester: But only if you'd have internet access over there, otherwise we'd miss you if you were gone for so long. :)

I hope Rod's knee gets better soon. Do you think he'll try to lose weight in order to go to Greece?

You'll be pleased to hear that I bought some cough drops that are honey/lemon with echinacea. :)

Thanks once again for visiting me. I always love seeing you all here.

Frankie

I swear that I get time to think things through when I am walking that I just cant think about even alone at home. With other people or at home there are too many distractions. When out walking you can just walk and think. I am sure that you will have a wonderful time in NZ  - and as I said in your diary - everyone will be so impressed with your weight loss and how healthy you are looking nowadays.

Natalie Jo

It is great news about your smear test. We must keep an eye on these things - but it is always great to see that everything is as it should be.

I am so pleased that your stretch marks are looking a little clearer already. :hurray: That is wonderfully quick results that must encourage you to keep it up. I swear that my creaming got rid of my double chin in double-quick time.:hurray:

Kimberly

The flight to Rhodes is 4 hours from here. I think that if he manages to lose weight we would certainly go as he certainly enjoys it there too. I think that he would like to lose weight in some ways - but that he doesnt like the struggle of it (who does?!). Generally he tends to get impatient and at that point is more likely to give up. Obviously a weight loss project for him should really be a big one (as mine is) as he could lose quite a bit of weight and still be morbidly obese (as I did).

I have mentioned that I think that he would have less problems with his joints if he were to lose a bit of weight. I think that he generally accepts this to be the case.

Internet access in Rhodes is basically a case of either managing to get an OTE line into where-ever you are living which can be a problem or going to an internet cafe. We managed to get an OTE line when we were out there because we took over a line from someone else and hubby diverted the wiring to hit our apartment. Someone is living in our old apartment so that would be in the lap of the gods.

If he gets sick of his job he might suddenly decide that he has had enough and leave, or if they made him redundant (unlikely but you never know as his team management has been outsourced) - then I think it very likely that we would go.

I am pleased that you are trying the echinacea. :hurray: I swear by it if there are any sniffles about. I am still actually taking it regarding these germs that were here a week or two ago. I dont know whether you know about it. It is supposed to give the good soldiers that fight that kind of infection a bit of a boost so they come out fighting extra tough!

Take care :seeya:

Thursday 13/12/07

Bright and frosty - but no rain. Again – it was not quite as cold as it looked.
I bought some UK size 16 jogging pants from Tescos for just £6 that fitted me great. I know that my waist is not a proper size 16 yet as I have a size 16 skirt that I can fully zip up but not fasten the button. My bust is definitely bigger than size 16 too.

These are the first clothes that I have ever bought from Tescos – their clothes are so cheap.

The last jogging pants that I bought were size 30 which I bought last winter from Evans for £18. I never got them taken up so they still have the price tag on them.

General Data:

Morning walk = 6.3 miles.
Round the block = 6 times
Extra exercises = none
Weight = 12st 6.4lbs (i.e. 174.4 pounds)
Steps = 29,740
Distance = 11.26 miles
Remembered to take normal vitamin / supplements
Continued my creaming regime – missed one bio-oil massage

My Food / Drink:

1 banana
3 weetabix, sweetener, 350 ml skimmed milk
2 handful honey Shreddies
150g crumbed ham
chicken breast, swede, carrot, brussel sprouts, broccoli, onion, celery, gravy
1.5 large handfuls of raisins
2 litres of cold water
some diet cola

Good idea about selling on the new pants from last year. I will do that. Thanks

Angel

There is a bit of a difference between life at size 30 and buying something at size 16 and being able to wear them. You would not believe how quickly I got the bottoms taken up so that I could wear them. I have worn them all day today. When I was young I was size 12 (I know that I have a small frame under all this padding) and I am wondering how much of me I can get back down to there or thereabouts. I dont think that my bust will ever (without surgery) shrink back - but it will be interesting seeing how far I can shrink.

I will have to check out Asda sometime soon. I didnt want to spend any money on clothes until I got to where I want to be. I couldnt believe the price of clothes in Tescos though. This was £6 very well spent.

I think that I will check out their nighties! I am still wearing size 30 nighties!!!

We will be so thin by the time our birthdays come along in July!

Looks like you are a bargain clothes shopper like me..:biggrinjester: Yesterday while waiting for my script to be filled I did a little xmas shopping. Got hubby a pair of jeans for $10, a fleece hoodie windcheater (as the Aussies call them) for $10, a long-sleeved knit shirt for $7 and a 4pk of boxer briefs also for $7.

I think that size 30 nightie must be huge on you--could probably fit 2 of you in it. :biggrinjester:

Glad you had good walking weather again today.

Well, 4hrs in economy isn't too bad, I suppose. Having flown trans-Pacific a lot, I'm used to 12-15hr stints in it--that is not fun--especially when the flight is full. :D I hope you get to Greece--and take me with you..haha. Around Jan or Feb I will be ready to get out of this cold and snow. But I'll bet MissLadybug is ready to go to Greece RIGHT NOW....lol. I feel so bad for her.

:grouphug: Hey there well it looks like someone isn't letting the holidays jepordize your hard work!Your doing gr8 I wish I can do the same,I am trying however to keep up with the exerscing!Have a wonderful weekend Tammy:grouphug:

Thank you for visiting my diary and continuing to give me all this encouragement. I am sitting here wearing my new jogging pants again - I love them.

Angel

Two sizes is a great drop. In so many ways the first size drop is the best because you actually start seeing a result for your hard work. You are losing weight well now - so it wont be long before you drop another size.

I will certainly be buying one or two cheap clothes items this week. I cannot believe the price of Tescos clothing. I will be back there later today getting groceries. I think that I could do with a few pairs of knickers. The size 30s are on the baggy side (even with a stitch in the waist)!

Kimberly

Now that I can fit into supermarket clothes - lots of bargains seem to be available to me that were not available before. In England Evans almost has a monopoly on clothes for bigger women. I have spent the last 20 years in Evans clothes.

I wouldnt say that the size 30 clothes are big on me - but on Monday I was wearing a size 18 leisure suit that I bought about 20 years ago. A woman asked me if it had ever fitted me. I said about 20 years ago and I got back into it 2 to 3 months ago. She said - it looks like a marquee on you now. I knew that it was now on the baggy side - but this is what made me think that I should rethink my interim wardrobe.

The weather here seems to have improved a little (touch wood!) I just hope that it stays mild. You all seem to be currently having a much worse time - especially poor Kim.

The Greece thing is always very tempting.

Natalie Jo

I am certainly so pleased with the jogging pants that I am having a little rethink about my interim wardrobe.

I am pleased that the creaming is going well for you. I certainly think that it is beneficial for me. It also makes your skin feel lovely and soft.

Tammy

I am trying to do what I can - but the crunch will come on Thursday when we go away until the following Friday. I know that I will do less walking then (and obviously no classes). Also the food will be more difficult because there will be plenty of temptation, and you can never limit what fattening is around when you are in someone else's house. Anything better than maintenance over the month as a whole will be a miracle - but I will continue as much as I can.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Hello, I've been looking at your diary for the past couple of days - it's so long that I haven't been able to read it all - but yours is such a positive attitude. It's wonderful to read you! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with everyone and good luck over the festive period.

Hi Margaret,
Glad the weather there is still decent and that you are enjoying your new jogging pants. With the prices at Tesco being so cheap, I don't see why you shouldn't buy yourself a few items as your other clothes get too big.

I'm sure you'll be fine over the holidays. You seem to have a very strong determination to keep this up. :)
