Omega's journey

Saturday 13/10/07

Managed to get out for a walk in the morning. Had lunch with schoolfriends – so went over the top at lunchtime.

Went to the reunion and enjoyed myself. There were a number of people from my year and we had all aged a bit. Everyone from my year was very friendly and I was not the biggest girl from my year attending. I was glad that I went.

The most recently that I have seen any of the people was 15 years ago. I have not seen some of the people in over 30 years.

General Data:

Morning walk = 6.2 miles.
Round the block = none
Extra exercises = none
Weight = 14st 0.2lbs (i.e. 196.2 pounds)

2 large handfuls of raisins
Roast chicken, boiled potatoes, parsnips, carrots, cauliflower, cabbage, sweetcorn, gravy

WOW how exciting it sounds like your reunion was a good one! And to not be the biggest in the crowd, ALL RIGHT!! Two thumbs up, see your doing so good! :) And I read you had to purchase some new bra's and they were quite smaller, YES!!! I had to do the same thing recently as well, I went from a 38D, to now a 34D, this is were I'll probably stay, I don't think I've ever been smaller then 34D since high school and I was just a little thing back then too, weird!! It rained pretty hard here yesterday, so I didn't get out at all, ooohhh those blues! it's over cast today, and I hope it's sunny tomorrow. I hope your week is a good one, I have a feeling it's going to be. Have a lovely day!
Kim

On the subject of brassieres, I'm anxious for the day that I can get out of this 38D and go back to a 34C where I belong. But, I'm worried that I'll end up a rack that looks like two half-deflated balloons. The combined effects of gravity, childbirth, breastfeeding 3 kids, and weight gain/loss won't be pretty, I'm sure.

Thanks Stacy, Kim and Lagniappe for popping by. I always appreciate your support.

I will try and pop over to your diaries soon.

If only I had managed to halt things at 38D like you Kim and Lagniappe! - I am green with envy.

I cannot remember how big I got - but I know that the size 50G bra that I was wearing was far too small when I got it. I sent for it by mail order when I was in Greece and when I tried to try it on something got spilt onto it and I couldnt send it back. It hung around the house in the wrapping from 2004 when I bought it until I slimmed down to that size around July.

I was listening to big bottomed girls... i think it is an excellent tune (even if we are big bosomed girls, but that works just as well)!
Only 0.2 to go girl and there you are... magical 14 stone!!!! yey!!!! In stine my weight sounds fine, the problem is in kilos and pounds :)!
I am so proud of you for getting there... and you should too, throw yourself a little low fat walking party!
Love, cat

Great job w/Monday! {as always!} ;)

Your support is also greatly appreciated! :)

I'm hoping to be able to join a gym soon!

I'm want to take spin classes so bad!

Hope yer havin' a Goal Reachin' Tuesday!

Thanks Cat and Stacy.

Today (Tuesday) - my weight went under 14 stone for the first time (13st13.8lbs) - it may not be by much - but it is under for the first time in "for ever". That is a third of my start weight (21 stones) lost. In 2 pounds I will have lost 100 pounds.

Gyms are very expensive. I do my keep fit classes at a local adult education college. It is a lot cheaper than joining a gym.

Take care

That is soooooo GREAT Margaret! *WooT!* :jump:

You should be so proud of yourself!

Gyms:

Yep, I'm hoping the deal is still going on at one place! They cut a deal with our apt. complex that all residents could join for only $20 a month.
No Contracts.

If that is still the case, I'm sure hubby will have no problem w/it.

way to go for being so close to the 100lb milestone - that's a great accomplishment - go to a sporting goods store... and pick up 5 20 lb dumbbells -or at least attempt to - to really appreciate what you've done...

your local classes sound like fun - as long as you're doing something -it's all good :) just enjoy it...

Thanks for your congratulations Stacy and Maleficent.

That sounds a really good deal at the gym Stacy. When we have joined gyms (when I was working) we have had to pay a lot more than that. Then we went a few times and found that we didnt have the time to keep going. We often paid the fees and didnt go.

I had not thought of trying to go weight-lifting Mal. I am such a wimp I am sure that I couldnt even try and pick up 2 of those weights - never mind 5.

Take care

keep that in mind when you realize how much you've lost :D

Tuesday 16/10/07

Did long walk and went to my yoga class. It rained most of the morning – but thankfully the rain was not nearly as heavy as last week – and it was dry for the afternoon walk.

General Data:

Morning walk = 6.3 miles.
Round the block = 4 times (on one lap my husband came too)
Extra exercises = yoga class
Weight = 13st 13.8lbs (i.e. 195.8 pounds)
Steps = 29,723
Distance = 11.02 miles
Remembered to take normal vitamin / supplements – plus Echinacea
Continued my creaming regime

Food / Drink:

1 banana
3 weetabix, 1 heaped teaspoon of sweetener (a level teaspoon is apparently 1.9 calories) and the (large) bowl topped up with skimmed milk.
200g chicken breast
3 handfulls dry pasta, half an onion, lots of courgettes, sauce (35 calories), fry light
2 large handfuls of raisins
2 litres of cold water
some diet cola

100 lbs down! That will be amazing. Normally I'd say you should go out and have a great dinner to celebrate but... no. I'm learning that I need to find other ways to celebrate that don't involve eating and drinking. Unfortunately, that doesn't leave a lot of vices to indulge in :)

Thanks Mal and Lagniappe.

I am not there yet (100 lbs) - but so near I can smell and taste it.

I just cannot get over being a third less. I am still obese and have still a very long way to go (more than many start with) - but I now actually believe that I can get to a normal range if I keep going.

Take care.

Margaret

That's the spirit!

Yes you can!! :hug2: You Will! ;)

*******

Good grief I need to get my insomniac butt to bed! lol :rotflmao:

It's 2AM!

Nite! LOL

Thanks Stacy. We will all get where we want to be with each other's support.

Sleep well and have a good day tomorrow (or today since it is Wednesday morning here).
