Older, Wiser, but still fat...

Hello reluctantcabbie,

thanks for the tip in my diary!

Keep pushin along!!

Hey Karl... Okay, so I got a lil caught up on your journal since I wasn't in here for a couple of days and YOU ARE NOT SHALLOW!!! We all want to look and feel good in here, isn't that why most of us are here??? I mean yeah, I'm here for medical reasons too, but mostly, I want to look hot for my hubby and be able to get all dressed up and go out to a club and get the same kind of looks that all the thin girls get now... I mean, I don't want other guys to check me out... (who am I kidding.. yes I do ;) ) but that's what lets us know that we look good isn't it? We all will get there soon... But we are not shallow, we just want to be like everyone else!!! Keep up the good work!!! And we better see the pics of you in that suit once you get it!!! :seeya:

As promised, a couple pics of the summer house that I've been doing so much work to lately. This is not a small type cabin (trust me, I couldn't afford this place - its a family held real estate trust.

What a beautiful cabin! Man, I'm jealous... my family owns a cabin in south east Montana, just a tiny little thing, but its on 600 acres of land, lol, so I guess its not realllllly the cabin the family cares about  but man, thtas pretty. And the bmw'r- hahahaha! Thats terrific...

that is a bonus boob............

darlin, in the end we all want to look good in our clothes and feel good in them. if you get a suit and have it tailored then you better damn well post pics of that too!!! You know you could always get a couple of your shirts tailored to fit you just for the halibut...I kind of understand how you feel...my legs are thin so to fit my tummy my legs in my jeans always were too big for me. that is one thing that has really gotten better for me...my butt/leg/tummy proportions are looking better

hope your weekend is wonderful

hugs

Well, my eating was acceptable for today given my exercise level (barely), I’ll call it a win. I came in at 3140 cal, 131g fat, 396g carbs, 112g protein.

I did a pull split and some core this morning – 30 minutes, and then spent a couple of hours up to my waist in cold water with a chainsaw (weird combination), cutting up tree limbs that fell against the summer house and hauling them onto the shore. The picture in my last journal post is of my brother’s X-3 hauling the branches up the hill behind the house in a broken down canoe. Not what most people do with a $50,000 SUV…

I’m marking today off as day 5 of clean eating, and going to bed before I feel like snacking…

WOW, what a gorgeous place! and woohoo for Good Day #5!! I need help staying on track with my food. Its my downfall. lol. Hope you have a great Sunday.

....but now I'm back going full bore...

oh cabbie you make it far too easy................but as its sunday/gods day...i'll leave the smutty comment out...for now... :newangel:

but good for you...your head seems firmly back in the right place now for focusing on weightloss & fitness...........be careful with that blummin chainsaw though!!

Good Job!!! :hurray: You're doing great, so keep it up!!! That cabin is freakin awesome! OMG it's beautiful, I live in Colorado, was raised by Cucharas, so we see alot of beautiful Cabins, but that one is so nice... Just droppin in to say HI to ya and reassure you that I'm still around as promised!!! :seeya:

That Cabin is amazing, what a beautiful place :D

LMAO the canoe, looks like something Dad would do...It was a good idea ;)

Nice place, :) Do you boat?

I built this kayak a few years ago, so this is my primary boat. I also sail, but not much power boating to speak of.

Hey Karl! Nice kayak... I swear you've posted that picture before, lol.

Hope your Memorial Day is included on your "good day" streak! Have a great Monday!

I finally have a couple minutes here after the long weekend to sit and write a full post.

Sunday my eating was on the far side of good, but still okay. Today was very good.
Sunday: 2900 calories, 120g fat, 128g protein, 335 carbs

Only exercise was a bunch of yard work.

Monday, 3081 calories, 117g fat, 148g protein, 400g carbs

30 minutes of weights, 1 hour 10 minutes of cycling.

The bike trail that I ride on often was crazy today. beautiful weather and a holiday meant that it was like cycling through a traffic jam. Made me feel pretty good, though, nobody passed me, I did all the passing. I did hang on one lady's back wheel for a bit because we were both passing in and out of traffic and she had a pretty good pace going for a while (a nicely shaped spandex covered ass in direct view did hurt either), but I eventually passed her too.

Okay I got a few minutes here I'm gonna see about hitting some diaries.

Whoo Hoo!!! Go Karl! It's your Birthday!!! Was that a little over the top??? Sorry, but I'm just so excited for you... another 3 lbs!!! That's GREAT!!!:hurray: Hats off to you sir! Hey, lookin at a nice tush while biking sounds good to me, almost better than the idea of putting a juicy steak on a string to get you motivated ;) haha... LOL! Well, just wanted you to know I am very proud of you and keep up the good work!!!:cheers2:

more random ramblings:

So, I quit smoking last summer and have not touched one since. Interesting thing though, the cravings still happen every now and again. It's like, this random thought will suddenly pop into my head and tell me I want one. I'm usually asking myself, where the hell did that come from?

Any time it happens, I just go through my head how much it took to get here, and it passes.

I'm taking the same attitude with food rigt now. So many times I have considered stopping for a donut, or a reeses crunch bar (got a big thing for them). Each time I treat it like an addiction. If I have it, what will it do to me? Will it send me down the slippery slope?

So far this seems to be working. supposedly it takes 21 days to establish a new habit. I'd personally give it more like 30 days. regardless, I'm hoping this is my new habit.

Yeah.. I get those too, the ex smoker occassional "twinge" (won't even call mine a craving any more after 18 months) it is more like the brain just remembering about smoking and going "oh yeah, let's have a smoke" I dunno it is weird, I even have reached for the pack when doing something I used to smoke during, like on the computer, I used to smoke a lot without even realising it, and I have very occassionally automatically reached for one! LOL

And great about the candy and donuts, that is also what I think, they are best avoided for quite a while after you make the lifestyle change.. just too dangerous... I have not had chocolate since I began this 5 weeks ago! Nor Cakes or cookies etc... all toooooo dangerous for me yet.
