Older, Wiser, but still fat...

Karl, I hope you managed to stick or drop a little over this wonderful weekend.

Thanks for sticking one in my diary, of which I left you a response. Each and every post on here can help immensely. Thanks again.

I rested, went to a BBQ at my ex-wife's house (long story there - suffice to say that we are all friends and it was a LONG time ago), and went up 2 lbs :(

Hi Melissa! Nope, not usually a problem for me, especially when I'm making sure I take in enough fiber for the challenge I'm in...:biggrinjester:

Rode for an hour and had a solid half hour workout at the gym today.

I'm thinking that my overall carb intake has been a combination of being a little too high, and of the wrong quality lately. I need to continue taking in a decent enough quantity for fuel, with my cycling, but I need to start looking more at the quality of the sources (Glycemic index). I'm off to learn a bit more about the subject.

So, like... I guess I haven't updated in a couple days?

My life is okay. Had to be satisfied with a spinning bike again today. Funny thing about bikes. When you are outside, it's not as easy to see how much you sweat when riding because of the evaporation and airflow. Not the case on a spinning bike at the gym. I've discovered that I am in fact, really quite gross after an hour. Good thing I'm not phobic about perspiration. My wife otoh does not like sweat at all. She kind of backs off a few steps and points to the shower as I walk in afterwards, with this look on her face...

WTF, I was at the gym!?!?

There are reasons why I make sure there is an air conditioner in the window of my bedroom during the summer...:biggrinjester:

hello cabster....

hows it hangin????

ps congrats on all your riding.....................on the bike ;)

pps you may get this twice just posted to you but it seemed to disappear...

Okay, I wanted to read your whole journal, but I didn't make it before I was compelled to comment. You rock!

Yeah I've noticed posting getting a little trippy lately for some reason. Like I'm constantly having to refresh to see updates. Not sure what's up with that.

Okay, I wanted to read your whole journal, but I didn't make it before I was compelled to comment. You rock!
Thanks darlin' I was having a good time reading through your diary also. You have a unique sense of humor and I'm enjoying the read :biggrinjester:

Good job on the bike riding!!

It's what I do... Seriously, I didn't actually start out saying 100 miles per week, but damn, that number is starting to almost fee low now!

Oh and Brandy? Luv ya hun, seriously, glad you started coming back around, I missed you in here.

Got a ride in today also. Basically I'm tracking my miles on my cycling buddies thread (in the club section?), and I'm sort of at a quandary for this week's tracking. In terms of actually outdoor mileage ridden this week, I'm at 87.5 miles for the week. Thursday was raining so I spent an hour on the spinning bike at the gym. My cadence was just as intense, and the bike read 18.5 miles when I was done, but, it still wasn't an outdoor road thing. If I count the spinning miles I'm at 106 miles for the week. and will probably ride tomorrow too. I dunno, maybe I'll just list it separately so that I can keep track of either type of training as the cooler weather starts to come around.

i think the indoor miles should could too? just as good aren't they?

oh - and hi!

*waves*

Hi Right back! :waving:

I decided to separate them. Not because there is really a difference - 60 minutes of good cardio is still 60 minutes of good cardio - but just to keep the accounting straight.

Cord, social calls are always welcome! Hey Amigo, let's see what we can do about getting our respective trains on the right track this weekend and moving in the right direction. I think we could both use a fresh start this weekend.

Speaking of which... Had a baaaaad thing for dinner last night:piggy:

There is this sadwich shop near me that makes this killer sandwich called a Kami-Kazi. Think heart attack on a bun. Steak, pepperoni, bacon, sausage provolone and BBQ sauce on about a 10" roll (that would be what they call a small too). Probably over a lb of meat and cheese.

These babies are part of what gave me the figure that I'm trying to change today. Honestly though, I have not had one in about 6 months. Last night I just figured WTF, might as well get the craving over with and move on today with a clean slate.

I think I'll be cycling today. If nothing else than to stir up the sludge that is probably collecting in my veins...

It would appear that I did well this weekend. I managed to keep the eating on plan all weekend, and did not fall victim to any sweets cravings. Go Me!

Rode 16 miles Saturday because I had to work and had little time, then did 25 today and an upper body press work out.

I'm at the beginning of my wek from hell, this is basically going to be a 55-60 hour week at work, and while my office has A/C, the plant floor that I need to be involved with is not, more like a sweat shop...

Anyway, BBL!
