Ohappydaye's Diary

I was so tempted to do Tae Bo today chicky...but then I thought about you, LOL...and how I promised I wouldnt continue to push myself...sooo I went on the bike for like 10 mins...I know, I know, I know...not too long, but mostly just checking it out, plus the youngest was about...also I knew the walk I would be going on would be enough...plus the pain pills were the reason I was feeling ok...I dont want to hurt myself...Just thought I would share that with you :):):)

*applause* Thank you for being honest with me! :D Now keep your butt off that bike missy! :p I'm proud of ya!!!

Yeah, but they also had raisins....ewwwww! (but this just may be a personal opinion) ;)

Hope you have a great day! I'm off for my long walk, catch you later :)

You don't like raisins? C'mon M, they are soo yummy! And the dark chocolate tasted even better than the milk chocolate on top of 'em. I was pleasantly surprised!

Enjoy your walk!!

Hey, I finally remembered to get raisins at the store myself :). I got a big tub of the things so they'll last forever.

Ohhh....no...not those shrivelly little squishy things!!

And how did the party go?

Well, I'm eating some raisins right now! :D I'll eat a few extras for you! :p

The party was....CHEETAHLICIOUS! LOL It was fun, the girls had a great time and I must say I did too. They played "pin the Cheetah girl to the cd," had Cheetah Girl Karaoke (sp?), got manicures and fancy nail art, and topped the afternoon (which by that time was evening) with Cheetah cupcakes and ice cream. I think there were hotdogs, Doritos and the like in the mix somewhere. *head spinning* The girls all walked away with Cheetah Girl giftbags with various cheetah accessories (coin purses, bracelets and journals).

I must say I am Cheetah-ed OUT!!! Now...aren't you sad you asked. :p :p

I forgot to add that I did not eat ANYTHING at the party!! I'm very proud of myself. I ate before I left. Warmed a whole wheat tortilla and put a piece of grilled chicken tenderloin, chopped lettuce and a tablespoon of salsa inside and boy was it yummy!

When we got back from the party Breana and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. We walked for 35 minutes, not sure of the distance, I've misplaced my darn pedometer. It was a leisurely walk though and not a typical power walk for me. It was such a nice evening, I figured I'd kill three birds with one stone, spend a little quality time with my daughter, get some cardio in and help her work off some of the junk she just ate! :p

Good job for not eating anything at the party! I know how hard it is to see other peopl eating junk, and then not eating it yourself! You should pat yourself on the back! :D

It sounds like a fun party :D How old were the girls?

I JUST bought a karaoke machine for Megan's birthday next week - she's having a slumber party with 8 girls - I can ONLY imagine the horror for my neighbors ;)

Megan's already told me the menu. Pizza. Cake. Ice Cream. Dorittos. when asked what she wanted to drink - she said water LOL!

The birthday girl turned 7 and the girls ranged in age from 6-8. The karaoke was QUITE a display! I'm sure Megan and the girls will have fun, now the neighbors? That's a different subject. :p

Hey PD, DQ, pequin, xorie, bgs and JB! So glad you guys stopped by. Yea, it was tough to watch those hotdogs being eaten with all the chili and mustard. The lady beside me kept saying, "This hotdog is so good," "This is the best hotdog I've had in forever." Then she looked at me and said, "Oh, I'm sorry." I was thinking, "yea right!" But I made it through!!

Better you than me.... when I left there would have been one chili dog mushed in her face lol.....

Just got in from Wally World, purchased a scale (first time EVER in my life owning one.) I bought a Health-O-Meter. Started to get the Weight Watchers one that DQ was talking about it gets you the digital reading, I got the analog one so I won't know exactly how much or not I've lost but I think the other would make me obsess too much.

I got some treats while I was there. I was reading about this CocoaVia chocolate in Diane (my Curves magazine) and I think it was in my Women's Health one too...well anyway I bought a box of the chocolate covered almonds. This is supposed to be "good" chocolate, promotes a healthy heart by reducing bad cholesterol and promoting healthy circulation. One pack is 140 cals, 3g of protein, 0mg of sodium (yay), 0 transfat and 3g of dietary fiber.

I also got one EAS Cookies and Cream bar ( I think Diva said they're really good) and one Kashi GoLean Cookies and Cream bar. Both are high in protein, the first being 21g and the GoLean having 13 and 6g of fiber. The fiber is only 1g in the EAS bar but I'll take it. I'll use one of these as a snack a couple of days this week. I might just cut one in half and eat part of it as my morning snack and the other in the afternoon or I could keep my fruit as snacks and eat half of a bar after my workout in the afternoon. I'll just have to see. I'm also hoping they'll curb my chocolate cravings...almost that TOM and help increase my protein intake.

My goal this week is to reduce fat and increase protein and my strength training. I want these last 2.5 pounds off BAD!!!
