Good to hear that you guys are feeling better. Did your daughter get her flu shot too? I have heard that sometime you will feel a little under the weather after getting it.

No she didn't but I think that's what zapped me. There was a little boy with these exact same sympoms just last week and he sits right beside my daughter, so my guess is this is where it came from. What can ya do? Thanks for the kind words!
 
I bought You On a Diet and Joyce Meyer's Confident Woman from ereader.com this morning. I was supposed to do it yesterday but I told myself it would be my reward for finishing up a report and I didn't get it done until late last night. I'm very happy with both of them and I hope to read quite a bit of both of them this weekend.

I used to carry really big purses so that I could carry my book or books of choice around with me, but I've since then purchased a handheld so I have TONS of books with me all the time...without the bulk. I SO love it!

As I read more I'll report back and let you all know what I think of You On a Diet. I'm looking forward to reading them both!

I love to read too, but as you know being a mommy doesn't always leave a lot of time for that. I usually make a reading list during the year and then use my time off during the summer to read like a maniac! lol Though I'm now trying to find more time to incorporate reading back into my life on a more frequent basis...just not for hours a day like I'd prefer.

...oh yea, I hear you're the ebay queen I plan to try to do that in the very near future to help supplement my income...single mom needs a little help sometime. I was telling your SaturdaySaint over in Wishes' diary that it rather defeated my purpose to get an "out of the house" second job as all that money would be going to childcare for whoever kept my daughter while I was working..that'd be pretty much a waste. Oh well...enough of that. :p
 
No problem! I know exactly what you mean! I'll sit down with a book and in moments have a child lifting out of my line of vision and climbing up on my lap with a book of their own! lol....it's hard.....so reading usually happens on the weekends if at all. Still working it back into my life!

And again...I know EXACTLY what you mean! I get exhausted trying to argue with people that it would NOT be benefial for me to go out and get a job!!! I would be running in the hole every month with how much daycare would cost for 2! Wardrobe, extra gas, etc etc etc!!!! I am an Ebay Powerseller at the moment!!!! woohoo! Three months in a row I brought in $1700, $2200, and $1500. :D:D It has slowed down with me being sick lately, but I'm still trying. Feel free to PM me any time, or we can chat or whatever. I love ebay...lol...can you tell? I love the creating the auctions, writing up the descriptions, taking pictures, meeting new people, etc! :D I have 100% feedback too! woohoo! I started when I 16, using my parents account...stopped once I got married, did it off and on, but for the last 3 years have been doing it as steady as I can :D

It's a GREAT way to bring in extra income! ;)
 
When i start reading i end up doing nothing else till i finish, i ended up crying after reading jane eyre, :( lol. Didnt want that to happen again lol. Plus, i ended up still up at 3, or 4 in morning reading. Parents didnt liek that so much. lol
 
WOW, I'm impressed with you girl! Powerseller huh? That's GREAT! Those totals are pretty darn impressive. I'm going to try going to yardsells, auctions, selling things that are on super sale and posting them on ebay. I just cleaned out my daughter's closet and I have three bags of clothes and 1 bag of shoes that I was going to take to consignment...the other three bags I plan to take to Goodwill, stuff with a small fingernail poilsh stain, etc but otherwise fine. Buuut, maybe this will be my first sale. Hmmm *OHD walks off pondering the thought*

I do the same thing, I say I'm only going to read 2 chapters and then go do..., but I end up sitting there through the whole book or until 4 in the morning and have to get ready for work and do all my daily chores and such. :(

Thanks :D I worked hard and am VERY proud of my accomplishment!!! No easy feit! I consider myself a full time work at home mom! lol...

I yard sale mostly here. I have found some GREAT deals! Double stroller paid $20 sold for $140. Stroller/car seat travel system paid $20 sold for $110. Encyclopedias paid $25 sold for $200. 2 plus size dresses paid $1/each sold for $67 as a pair(that one shocked me!). Hallmark ornament paid $0.25 sold for $44 and change. Those are some of my greater finds. Some times I lose money, sometimes I break even, but most of the time I usually at least double my money. I love it. I love searching to find stuff that is selling on ebay. I have been told I have an "eye" for stuff at sales....I don't know if I do or not, but I LOVE doing it! It's a challenge and a fun one at that! :D:D

....and if I rubbed the screen my dh would KILL me!!! (LCD monitor and he's...ummmmmmm....very protective of his baby! He nearly has a heart attack if you finger accidently brushes the screen!) lol...

Hope your having a good Friday.......By the way i love yard Sales.........I buy stuff and then have yard sales, cuz i have too much junk.........drives the hubby crazy!!!! I make money at my sales, but i buy stuff with the intention of keeping it!:rolleyes:
