Nothing To Loose - That is the goal

Well done for getting your exercise in. It must be so hard with your schedule the way it is to get it in. Sounds like you work really long hours, doing the exercise as soon as you come home may help you relax more. You know get the stress of the day out. But you should be really proud for staying determined and doing your best to exercise even after the long day you've had. I'm impressed.

Thanks, Skyler, I might try that. Some days its easier to exercise right after work then others. It may be mental thing tho. I'll need to play around with that. I think though at first I will make myself a goal to exercise at night no matter what, and see where I end up.

A lot of times I'm really hungry after work and all I want to do is crash on the couch, mostly from the crazy commute - sitting in stop and go traffic for 1 hr. I'll figure it out though. :)

Thanks, Zoila, for your support! :)

oh yeah, i remember those days...the whole commute home all you can think about is the couch. that makes it harder for sure!!! try to make it a necessity, not a choice - to finish your day, and to earn that couch time, you need to get some exercise in FIRST. maybe that will help. It is hard. no question about it. good luck.

Wooohooooooooooo On The 1/2 A Pound See Every Little Bit Helps Of Excercise That Should Help You Realise That Little Excercise Needs To Be In That Schedule Lol You Can And Will Do This!!!!!!!!

Thank you, thank you all. This forum is such a great bunch of people! I definitely would not be able to do this without you.

Yes, seeing the scale move after a workout is such a great motivation! Today my goal is to do 15 min on the bike and give my muscles rest(except for doing crunches). Tomorrow is riding again, I can't wait for that!

Good Morning, all!

Ok, yesterday was a bit weired.
First, I did some mindless eating just because it was there kind of thing. Hubby was setting mice traps and peanut butter was out, and before I knew it I grabbed crackers and started dipping them in peanut butter. I was able to stop myself on 5th... Not very good. But, I compensated for it with having lighter dinner (inside of fajita with no wrap) and skipped my yogurt snack. Still, calories came out to almost 1300.

Second, I exercised. 23 min on the bike. It was good but after I cooled off I got depressed. Not sure why. I might have experienced drop in endorphins after "high" provoked by exercise. Anyone ever experienced something like that? It did not help that all I could think of is how much I hate being on that bike. Every second is like torture. I find the exercise for the sake of exercise very unpleasant. So, I'm still coming off that depression.

Lost another 1/2 lb this morning. Hopefully it is the permanent kind. Tonight should be my measurement night. Another month has gone by! I don't think I've lost any inches though, as I've only started my exercise a week ago, and only lost 2 lbs since my last body measurement was taken.

Ok, I bought Paula's recommended protein powder. Apparently it comes in both vanilla and chocolate flavor. I decided to go with Vanilla so I can mix it in my oatmeal. It was actually quite tasty as a mixed drink. Sweeter then I would expect. But I did not like it with my oatmeal that much. It changed the oatmeal taste too much, and made it too sweet. I think I'd rather drink it separately right before eating my oatmeal.

Today I shed another 1/2 lb(was 135 this morning!). Yeah! I guess all the exercise is paying off. I kind of suspect that this is water loss, because I did not drink enough yesterday.

I had a good ride yesterday, but it was late when I got home, so I did not do any measurements. So, I'll measure myself tonight and post my findings!

wow. 135!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wasn't that your goal set for a while from now????? GREAT JOB!! Your exercising is making a big difference & 23 minutes on the bike!! that is so awesome. I'm very proud of you!!

Yes, I was hoping I would reach 135 by the end of March. Since my weight loss was going so slowly, I did not have high hopes. Also, now i am going riding 2 times a week, I think that is definitely helping. Even if this 135 mark is only because of water, I am sure I will reach it by the end of March for sure.

This is my first 10 lbs! I'm really happy about that. Took me 3 month, but that's not bad at all.

Thank you all! Leave it up to me to sabotage my still very fragile weight loss... This confession is for you, NewLeaf and Paula... We had an office party to see someone off and I had some carrot cake. People were cutting pretty big pieces, and when I got one I wanted to eat 1/2 of it, but could not stop myself once it was on the plate. Oh well.
And now I have to remember my own words and not beat myself up on it. :)

Hopefully it was not too bad calorie-wise.

BTW, Paula's powder works AWESOME! After having oatmeal with powder at 7:30 am, I was not hungry at 10 at all. I still ate my cottage cheese snack, partly out of habit, partly because I was coming up on 3 hrs, and partly to get the weird taste out of my mouth. The combination of powder and oatmeal did not seem to agree with me taste-wise, although I can mix this powder with water and I really like it. When I'm done with this tub, I think I'll get the chocolate flavor.
BTW, I felt really funny walking around wal-mart hugging huge tub of "body fuel". Thankfully there were not a lot of people around. :)

Ok, I did some more "sabotaging" of my weight loss tonight. Hubby and I decided to go for sushi, which is salty, so I've been drinking LOTS. So, I'll probably gain it back tomorrow, but that's ok, because I know I'll loose it later. There ain't no where for it to go but down!!!

Have not measured myself yet, as I feel that it will not be very accurate. My stomach is huge after all that sushi, miso soup and water. Will probably measure tomorrow morning. :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Ok, I woke up this morning 1.5 lb heavier then yesterday... I'm refusing to change my ticker. I am 135, DAMN it, and the stupid water gain is not going to tell me otherwise! The scale did give me a hint - my fat percentage went down, so it is definitely water gain!!!
I still have not measured myself. Just got up and had breakfast. Will do it today.
Yesterday calories came up to almost 1500, it was definitely a "cheat" day. I hope that it will help to speed up my metabolism though.

I want to try doing new type of cardio today. Digital cable has free "on demand" features, and they have TONS of workout videos to choose from. I think I want to try one of them, see how it goes.

Also need to fit in some strength training today as well. Tomorrow is riding lesson, I can't wait for that! If I could, I would ride every day instead of other exercise!

Ok, that's enough for Sat. Morning. Will post later, hopefully with my measurements!

You're doing fine ! :) Just think in two days your weight will be back on the same # after that water balances. You'll get it figured out! ;)
