No More Excuses, I'm going to do this!

AI like eating the smaller snacks/meals more often too. I've been doing that more the last couple weeks. I definitely feel less deprived, and it makes my day much easier I think. And good luck with the pushups! I'd be lucky to do 1 perfect pushup...lol! :)

Awell I do need to work on explosive power so i will set my goal at 20 also but for clap pushups. now start posting those pushups :D

Hey Munch,

I'd love to have you as my pushup partner! My goals are in my diary...starting with 5 reps x 2 sets (with a 1 min break between sets) = 10...that's my goal each day this week. You're welcome to join me...misery loves company!

I feel as though I'm starting from scratch scbibhouse, so we'll be on the journey side by side for sure!

I had an ok weekend food wise. It definitely could have been a lot better, but also could have been a lot worse. It's behind me now, so I must push forward.

Just got a brand new digital scale! YAY! An early wedding gift and I love it. It does read me 5lbs heavier than my previous scale, but I was weighing with all my clothes on and I have already eaten two meals today. So we will see what it reads tomorrow morning without the extra weight of clothes and an empty stomach. A bit disapointed because I believe my old scale was reading wrong. I'm pretty sure when I went to the doctor a few weeks ago, my weight was close to what this new one reads. Ah well, just means I'll have to totally rededicate myself after the wedding.

B:

2 pieces low cal wheat toast with jelly: 120cals

2 fiber gummies: 10cals

L:

chicken fritter brushed with veggie oil on 2 pieces low cal bread: 375cals

D:

lean cuisine pizza: 380cals

2 chewy bars: 180cals

1 string cheese: 60cals

s: 1/2 package of choclocal zingers (split with coworker. I know I shouldn't have but they are rarely in the machine and it is TOM so I easily justified it!) 225 cals

1350cals for the day. Will up that to 1500 with a snack tonight.

Way to go on pushups scbibhouse and Trusylver, we can keep this going!

I posted 5 good form pushups to the challenge thread. Hopefully I'll get some more in today.

14.5 hour workday here I come. I'm one hour in.... :( I don't expect food to be great today. I brought my dinner, but will have to face the cafeteria for lunch. I'm not going to beat myself up about it if I don't do very well. Working a long day like this usually has me hungry and exhausted.

Won't get any cycling in today and I didn't yesterday either, but I'm determined to get back out there tomorrow! I just got my padded bike shorts in from the mail. They'll add a bit of cush to my tush, even though I've gotten used to my seat. On Sunday I rode a little more than 7 miles and certain special areas were very sore afterwards, so these will definitely be helpful on my longer rides. :)

I'm going to try to do a lot of walking today to make up for not getting any other type of exercise. I assume I will be toast by the time I get home so probably won't use the total gym tonight.

2 more days until my wedding rehearsal!!!!!!! :)

Yeah, it definitely was a long one.

Anyways, nothing good to report food and exercise wise. Things have been all over the place the past few days trying to get ready for the wedding. Just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I'll be gone until probably the 18th. As many of you know my wedding is this Saturday. Tomorrow we have the rehearsal and have to decorate the reception hall, Saturday the wedding, Sunday spending time with family who are in town, and on Monday we're leaving bright and early for Charleston, SC. Diet will probably be terrible, but this is my honeymoon and I'm going to enjoy it! I can worry about watching calories for the rest of my life, but this coming week I'm not going to worry, just relax. Exercise will be pretty good as we'll be doing a TON of walking and sight seeing. I'll come back with a full report and hopefully have some wedding pictures to post!!! :)

AOh my Goodness... so exciting! Good luck, have fun, and I can't wait to see pictures! I love pictures...lol! Congratulations! :)

Hello Munch,

just want to say i hope you have a lovely wedding and the best day of your life!!:):) I am so excited for you, like Jen said, CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THE PICS

All the best darling xxxxxxxxx

I hope Sunday is everything you hoped for, and more! I'm sure it will be an amazing day, and you are going to be a freaking beautiful bride! And, as above, can't wait to see the pictures!

AHey Munch, thinking of you today and knowing you will have an awesome wedding and be a beautiful bride! Enjoy your honeymoon and all the love , vacation and food that comes with it! We really look forward to your pics! Congratulations and Godspeed in your travels!
Sarah

Thanks so much everyone for the warm wishes! We are back home and I'm back at work where I'm writing this. I promise I will get some pics up tonight, I just don't have access to them right now. First off, before I get into all the wedding stuff I wanted to update on my weight situation. Before the wedding I think I weighed in at around 157 or maybe even 160. We received a new scale as a gift from a friend so it has me reading a little more than the one I used previously. Not to worry though! Anyways back to my point! I weighed in this morning at 159.5 lbs. I'm very happy that I maintained or only gained a few pounds. I ate lots of seafood and other fried yummys while on the trip, so it was nice to not see myself baloon up after all of that!

Today is day one once again! My starting weight is 159.5. My goal right now is 145lbs.

Started out today with a TON of errands I had to do, then went on a bike ride that was about 2 miles, went for a short run, 12 pushups, 29 situps, 20 crunches, 10 squats, 2 sets of leg lifts (1-1 minute, 1- 30 second)

Lunch:

string cheese: 60cal

romain:30cals

2tbsp dressing: 70cals

cut up string cheese on salad: 60cals

snack:

peabut butter and jelly sandwich: 210

Dinner:

bbq chicken flatbread pizza: 650cals

Ok, now for all the juicy details of the wedding that I know everyone has been waiting for! I woke up that morning after sleeping AMAZINGLY! From the moment I woke up, my stomach hurt. Pre wedding jitters, I know. Not long after I woke up, my maid of honor and best friend came over and blow dried my hair and straightened it. Then we were off to the church. We all had subway sandwiches and I was eating while she started working on my hair. About 45 mins before the wedding is scheduled to start I got a call from our cake baker who tells me that no one is at the reception venue to let them in so they can deliver the cake. I had just put my makeup on and of course my eyes are starting to tear up. My drink of choice was swiftly prepared (cherry coke and rum) and I tried to relax. I'm glad to say I didn't ball my eyes out. Multiple times my eyes teared quite a bit, but I was able to control myself. Luckily we had a wonderful bridal party who took immiediate action in trying to figure everything out. While I wasn't involved in what was happening, I was freaking out! I walked down the isle not knowing where our cake was or if we were even going to be able to get into our own reception! In a way, I think it was a blessing. Being worried about the reception/cake kept my mind off the fact that I had to walk down an isle with a ton of people staring at me! Once my dad gave me away, everything fell into place. The wedding mass was beautiful and everything went wonderful. In the end, we were married and that's what mattered most. Before taking our formal pictures afterwards, we got news that everything had been sorted out and finally someone had arrived to open up the reception hall. I was given another drink and finally felt I could breath easier! The reception was beautiful and I decided I would not speak to the women who were in charge that day. I didn't want to ruin my day. I plan on going in tomorrow to give them a piece of my mind! All in all it was a beautiful day and I believe that God instituted that little hiccup to get my mind off of what I was worrying about and make up humble. Everyone says something goes wrong on your wedding day, now I believe them!

Well, that's it for now. I'll be posting some wedding and honeymoon pics ASAP and will tell everyone about our trip as well. So long for now!

AHey Munch, so glad you are back and should I say Mrs Munch now? Lol!
Sorry you had some jitters in the cake situation, but alls well that ends well, don't be too hard on the ladies, remember to get their side of the story first, don't lite into them first thing! Something might have actually happens, or they may have an up front apology waiting for you! At any rate, we're looking forward to the pics! Just waiting to see that size 8 dress!
For your weight, bravo:hurray::hurray: on not going out of control and keeping steady, and on the new scale to boot! (one of these days I'm going to get one of the new body fat scales myself...I'm sure they have them here in china some place...that's where they are all made anyway!) Welcome back to day 1 and we're right here with you on the next part of your journey!
Welcome back and congratulations again!
Sarah

Thanks scbibhouse!

From what I was originally told, they lady who I had spoken to a week earlier, simply didn't show up at the agreed on time for the delivery. This really made me mad because when we were discussing it, I knew she wasn't thrilled about the idea, but it was something that another employee had said would be perfectly fine. Basically she didn't want to do it. I asked her to please make notes so she would remember everything (I don't think she did). I plan on speaking with the executive director to simply tell them how disapointed I was in their venue and the way I was treated. To top it off, while I was taking some pictures outside the hall, the same woman had the audacity to try and butter me up telling me how wonderful I looked. Yes, I know I look wonderful, but it still doesn't fix the fact that the entire time I was walking down the isle I was thinking about how you weren't living up to your word! Hmph! Still gets my blood boiling!

Anywho, it's great to be back on here. Pics later tonight!

As promised here are some pictures!

This was taken right after the ceremony by one of my bridesmaids. We were in the room that I had gotten ready in.

Me and two of my bridesmaids. The third was on the phone with the caterer/cake guy/ who knows who else!

And just a close up of me.

More to come once I get them back from the photographer!

Dear Munch,

We haven't "met" here before, but I just had to post and say, you look absolutely wonderful! and may you both have many wonderfully happy and blessed years together, all the rest of your lives!!!

Thank you noparsnips and jen_renee!

The colors are royal purple and yellow. The purple seems a little blue in the pictures, but still looks great I think!

Oh Munch, You just look adorable! I see why you picked that dress..it really becomes you...and I'm loving the size 8 part...again!! Congratulations again and may you have many great years together! Good job again and about the cake person...sounds like they deserve to have a "piece of your mind"...but don't let it overwhelm you...get it out, then get out!

Good choices my friend !!

Sarah

Thank you so much! :) I did indeed let it out and they were very understanding of my frusteration and deeply apologized. They asked me what they could do and I simply asked them to refund our entire deposit. Previously we would only have gotten $100 of it back, but they agreed to issue back the entire $250. This was a victory for us! They were very glad I went in to talk to them about everything that happened because they want to make sure it doesn't happen again. At the end of the day, I got married, which is what really mattered. But it was hard to keep that fact in mind when you're in the moment.

Thank you again for the compliments. I loved the dress. I felt so beautiful that day, more so than I ever have before in my life. I know that's how you're supposed to feel on your wedding day, but I really wasn't expected to blow myself away. I did though! And I'm so so so greatful!

I haven't done great food wise today. I had spagetti and garlic toast for lunch, a turkey sandwich, some baked chips, honeytwist pretzels, and 3 mexican wedding cakes. Oh, also had a few of those earlier, in addition to a snickerdoodle. Ugh, so hard with all the yummies left over from the wedding. On top of that I didn't exercise today due to errands I needed to do and being sore from yesterday. I plan on biking and running again tomorrow in addition to all the other exercises I did. Hopefully I'll toss in the total gym as well. On second thought, if I'm not too tired, I think I'll try to do that tonight.

My work uniforms are noticeably tighter, but I'm not worried. I know I'll get it off. Slow and steady! Just got to find my discipline!
