No More Excuses, I'm going to do this!

Ooohh wow! You look absolutely freaking fantastic.. and your husband scrubs up nicely too! I love the dress, can see why you fell in love with it - makes this whole weight loss thing worth it, when you can step back and appreciate that kind of success! Really, you look amazing. I love what she did with your hair! Your whole look is very elegant!

Good to hear the company issued you a refund - and so they should! But, as you said, at least everything fell into place. Sounds like you had an amazing time - I'm super happy for you. :)

Congratulations!

AHeya Mrs Munch :)

Your wedding photo's look stunning. You look truly beautful :)

That's cool that you managed to get some money back after their monumental cock up.
So pleased you had such a wonderful wedding (other than above issue) can't wait to see more photo's.

Love and hugs :)

Thanks Sarah and Kate!

I can't wait to get the pictures in!

Today I went to the social security office to get my name changed officially! I also got a call for a job interview tomorrow at a Reception and Diagnostic Center about an hour away from where we live now. It's basically the first step for all newly sentenced inmates in Indiana. From there they get sent to a prison according to how they have been classified. I'm really looking forward to it! If I get it, were planning on moving there as we have some friends who live in that area. It should be a good place for us to start out. We'll be able to be independent of our parents, but not so far away that it's hard to visit them.

No exercise today as I was running errands yet again.

Lunch was 2 medium sized fajitas

1 snickerdoodle and 3 mexican wedding cakes.

Not great, I know!!!!!

Will post more later, I've got to get ready for work!

thanks so much!

Dinner was:

a steak and cheese burrito: 350

pretzels:230

light vanilla yogurt: 90

Not a terrible day calorie wise, though I'm not completely sure what the two fajitas added up to that I had. If I could guess I'd say around 760, but I have a feeling it's really less than that.

Going to try and know out some pushups, squats, situps, and leg lifts in tonight. Been crazy this week with errands, but I can't keep making excuses, just have to use the time I do have and try to keep improving.

Hey ya Mrs Munch! Hope you did the exercise...even if it's only 2 minutes, you can knock out some pushups...ha ha...how does that sound coming from me...the non-pushup queen! Getting your name officially changed...that is important! So happy for you! Hope your job interview goes well! I'll be saying a little prayer for you!

Sarah

Sadly I had completly forgot by the time I got home last night. Bad day at work. Thanks for the prayers! The interview went well and I got a tour of the facility. I'm really hoping I get this job, it's really the best place for me to start at. We have living arrangements settled already if I get the job. We plan on moving in with a married couple were friends with. They have a huge house and would only charge us $300/month. We'd have to get a storage unit but that will be less than $100. It'd help us save money and I won't have to commute until we find a place. It's about an hour away now and making that drive both ways and working a 12 hour shift would not work well! Been praying all day that getting this job is what God wants for me right now!

Tomorrow I'm determined to go run and do my other exercises! I have errands but they will be done after my workout! :)

Figured I'd come here to report that I once again did no exercise today. :( Errand, errands, errands! I went to the BMV today to get my new license with my new name. Of course I didn't have everything I needed the first trip there. Had to go home and get a second proof of address. Then I go back and get stuck with a snarky attendant. I was annoyed throughout the entire encounter and it's clear in my picture. Then I had to go to the bank to change my name there and from there I went and had chinese for lunch. Oh did I mention my eating has been awful this week?

Fast forward to work. A new co-worker is fighting me on some rules she doesn't think she needs to follow. She sent me a big email calling me prejudiced, etc. I informed my boss that she isn't follow the procedures. He sent out an email. Last night she came in and was very combative in how she spoke to me. I told her to speak to my boss repeadely. She kept pushing me so I explained how things were. Her logic was very flawed. My boss and I have no idea why she is acting like this. Rules are rules no matter how stupid they sound. They have to be followed. So anyways my boss is going to speak with her to straighten her out.

In addition to that, this shift has been crazy tonight with lots happening. At one point the person I'm working with did something we're NOT supposed to do and caused a huge shit storm to happen. Then claimed he didn't know what the procedure was for that situation. It's something that is written on a memo that sits right next to him! UGH!

So yeah, my week has been long and frusterating. Funny, last week I was on my honeymoon and then I came into the worst week ever! The guy I normally work with was on vacation. Oh and nothing of this magnitude ever happens when it's just both of us working. Nope, only when either of us get stuck with a weekend person who is extrememly incompetant!

I'm determined to go running tomorrow and Sunday. I have both days off and will make sure I find the time! I know I've said that before, but I really will do this! Day one starts tomorrow..... Again.. :)

AOk Mrs Munch, with all that negativity at work, you owe it to yoursel to go for a run and let off some of that steam! You stand your ground, backed up by the rules, and you'll be fine! Most importantly, don't "eat at" a person, place, thing or situation...it will hurt only you. Take care of yourself!

Sarah

AI'm sorry you had a bad week! That's probably one of the bigger reasons I work from home.... I generally dislike working with other people..haha! :p I hope your boss gets it all straightened out for you.... and I hope you're enjoying your weekend off, and are getting that run in!

I apologize for not being around. It's been a crazy week and things are about to get crazier!

I got a job at a correctional facility about an hour away from where we live. I'll be putting my two weeks notice in tomorrow at my current job. I plan on starting my new job on July 16. Which means that weekend before we will be moving down there into a house with a married couple we know. It's not permanent, just something for us to get on our feet. We're hoping to save some money up so we can get a house.

Therefore the next couple weeks are going to be insane and I apologize ahead of time if I don't update as frequently or at all! I haven't been focused at all on my weight. I'm currently 158.5lbs. I'm not worried about it. I've been fluctuating between 156-159lbs for the last few weeks. I'm trying not to overdue it on things, but with sweets from the wedding still around it is tough. Exercise also has been no existent due to so many other things going on. I'm going to try to fit it in when I can, but not worry too much about it. Once we're settled in at our new place, then I'll start a routine up. I know I haven't been eating great, so I'm going to try to limit myself since I'm not doing any exercise.

One thing I am looking forward to at my new job is not being so bored that I eat all the time. I will be very busy and on the go and also it's going to be really hot so that should help me lose some weight!

I had chinese for lunch with a friend and feel like I controlled myself really well. Only one trip and a small bit of pudding for desert. I've got a little bit of manwich and some chips that I'll have for dinner. I'm going to try to keep an eye on calories, but can't make any promises. However, I will try to make healthier choices and really watch my portion sizes.

Like I said, I may not be here much, but I will do my best. Everyones encouragement is amazing here and once I'm settled I'll restart my track to my last 20lbs! I love everyone here and am really looking forward to this fresh start in life my husband and I are about to get started on! :)

AHey Munch, congratulations on getting that job you wanted! Life is stressful for you right now, newlywed, moving to a new city in a new house, new job...how many more could you add to that list! Dangerous time for those of us who turn to food for comfort! You might consider stocking up on some fresh fruit and other yummy low cal choices in the house! If you are eating foods, you can always eat more than if you eat ones with empty calories and sweets, so load up on the good stuff girl! I would also suggest that you get in the habit of taking your lunch at work...my guess is institutional food in the correctional facility is not made for low cal diets!
Get settled in and in a routine and catch us all up when you get back!
Good choices my friend!
Sarah

Hello everyone, I'm back!

So I know it's been awhile, but I had a lot of things going on and logging on and posting was just one of many things I wasn't able to do on a regular basis for awhile. I'm unsure as to what my starting weight is at this point, but will be sure to weigh in tomorrow morning before I go to work. I'm going to give a rough estimate of 159-160 lbs.

A bit of a recap of what all that has happend. My husband and I moved to a new city and both started new jobs. Everything is new to us and so far, things are going great. I'm in my second week of training and have six weeks left. Luckily, I have a gym available to me at my job so Monday thru Thursday I'll be working out there. In addition, I have something motivating me other than just wanting to lose weight. I want to join a special squad at my facility and it has a few physical requirements that with time and dedication, I know I can achieve. As at times before, I'm going to focus more on physical conditioning than simply just trying to lose weight. My goal is to achieve the physical requirements not get to a certain goal weight. Once I achieve my physical goal, I'll evaluate where I am weight wise and go from there.

Glad to be back here on the boards. I'm looking for some serious motivation and will definitely be posting on other peoples diaries as well. I know I can do this with motivation, so I want to help as many other people out as well.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I'm off for a bike ride! :)

Thanks very much Irish! :) It's good to be back!

Long day at work today. Had four classes and they were pretty boring. After work I did some weight lifting in the gym.

The workout was as follows:

10 minutes of stand up bag boxing

1 set of 8- bench press: 40 lbs

5 short laps jogged around wrestling matt done between each set of bench press

2 sets of 8-bench press: 30 lbs

1 set of 8- rower: 30 lbs

3 sort laps jogged around wrestling matt done between rower

2 sets of 8-rower: 40 lbs

3 sets of 8- lat pull down: 50 lbs

2 sets of 8- reverse curl machine?: 30lbs

After getting home I check some email, facebook, etc then went for a run in the neighborhood. It was maybe 1/2 mile. It sure felt like a lot further with the heat though! Came home and just had a pb and j and drinking a lot of water. I plan on relaxing for the rest of the night, as well as study for a test I have tomorrow for work.

Food for today:

2 small pieces of pep pizza from little ceasars, small amount of baked lays, 100 cal nutty bar, coke zero, water.

pb and j, water, yogurt.

I did forget to weigh in this morning, but after just jumping on the scale I'm happy to report I'm at 157.5 lbs. That's a number after I've already eaten!!! Pretty proud of that. The last time I weighed in a couple weeks ago was 159 and I haven't seen a number since. Pretty cool to know I can lose without monitoring the scale.

So I'm feeling really great. I'm loving exercising and am really feeling great. However, as I said before, I'm trying to make this more about getting physically fit instead of being about losing weight. I'm happy with the way I look and my husband loves me and tells me he likes how I look. No, this time it is about me achieving my goals. I want to make that special squad at work and I will do just that! If I happen to lose some weight along the way, then that's ok too! :)

So with my new very busy schedule it doesn't seem like daily updates will be possible. I'll try to get on at least once a week, but will try my best to post as often as I can.

Some updates.. I weighed in on Saturday and was 155lbs. Hoping to see at least 1lb or more loss by this Sunday. I have been lifting weights daily, alternating between upper body and lower body days. I've also been running at least every other day close to 1 mile. I'm feeling really great and loving exercising. :)

My new job is going great. I'll be graduating from the classroom portion on Friday and will be starting on the job training on Monday. A lot happening in a short amount of time, but I'm loving every minute of it! :)

I feel like I've been eating really well too. I've been trying to have a salad with dinner every night and also treating myself to something sweet, even if it's just vanilla yogurt with chocolate chips in it.

Hope everyone is doing well! :)

Hey Munch,

Sounds like the new job is going well, and married life is treating you great! I'm so proud of you and you are staying in the 150's...one of these days, I'll get there...it may be next year at the rate I'm going now, but I will get there!

Looking forward to your weekly updates...and you are rocking the exercise...those 1 mile runs are great and I'm so happy you are enjoying exericsing!

Good choices Munch!!

Sarah

Thanks scbibhouse! My new goal is to crank out a ton of push ups. I'm looking to you for some inspiration and motivation for this so look out! I need to get a solid plan and just start doing it.

Did an interval run yesterday and a mile run today as well as some push ups. I'm gonna head over to scbibhouses journal to see how she started knocking out her pushups. My goal is to get to 22 and eventually 33 in order to pass a physical fitness test.

Just started on the job training today. So far I like it. A very hectic environment and a lot to learn, but I'm all for it!
