Nightporter... To the point of no return.

Hey There Nightporter :)

I so agree with finding what works for you AND what works in the long run.

It would seem that the problem your family had was not necessarily that they were given carbs, but rather, they hadn't learned to monitor their intake. Whatever that intake happens to be. Once they quit eating the prescribed "diet", they didn't know how to eat. I know that my "diet" will never be over. It has to be a life long change in how and what I eat. I can't go 'off' the it even when I get to the point of maintaining...I'll have to know what & how much I CAN eat.

I hope you find what works and what works long term :D

Hope you're having a good weekend!

Oh, my gosh! NO! NOT STEVEN SEGAL!! You are a hoot. I love the links. I'm listening to your boyfriend's tunes right now!

Thanks! Most people love Ghosts... It was their biggest hit!

Well, today I have been shopping. I did some speed walking around Opry Mills today... And Opry Mills is one of the biggest malls in the country so I think I got enough exersize! I start school on Tuesday. Hopefully I'll get back in the swing of things after!!

Since I'm a senior this year I'm going to request that I can possibly get a parking spot closer to the school. I have offered to trade spots with people, but naturally no one is going to trade their spot for the "worst parking spot" Sorry I put so much emphasis on this spot- But this spot will determine whether I can get home at 4:30-5 or 6:30-7!

Thanks for your comments! I am glad to be a member of the saucy sisterhood!

bet you burned some calories for the Sisterhood doing that speed walking!!! How did it go with the scale yesterday?

Hi scarlett-

Exactly the same. But I have been taking a new supplement called L- Glutomine and that's supposed to help curb appetite- and so far it really has been!

Hopefully I'll lose some more flubbuh

SAME is good!!!! I'll take same any day over MORE!!!! Which is what happened this morning, but we won't speak of it because maybe tomorrow it will be gone!!!

Yes- Don't worry- I got up to 213 and thought it was all over! Then before I knew it, it was 207 again... Amazing how the human body works!

hi np - i've just read your diary for the first time and its very entertaining :D

i remember listening to japan back in the day - my bf at the time had the whole hair thing going on, he's probably still got all the vinyl and some tshirts. i loved the collaberation with sylvain (his real first name, yes?) and ryuchi sakamoto (sp). your thread has brought back all kinds of memories - thanks :D

i noticed you said you had a problem with tiredness which has lasted several years. i had the same thing and then last year i ended up taking three months off work from being overly knackered - i couldn't do anything. i had almost no white blood cells and even my eyes started to hurt. after much poking and prodding the doctor couldn't find anything wrong UNTIL i told her as an afterthought i'd been getting a lot of 'dead legs and arms', ie pins and needles. then she realised it was a vitamin b deficiency, i got a simple blood test to diagnose it and now i get vitamin b shots every couple of months or so. some people just can't absorb vitamins via the tummy, so you have to get injections instead. so simple, but not so easy to recognise.

maybe you could ask your doctor for that test as well when you go. good luck :)

Hey NP,

I agree with Scarlett on the same issue anyday!!!!!

How was your first day of school and have you been to the doctor about your tiredness????

Ok, so I actually did it... For the past 2 days I dressed up like I was from 1982 (Suede black jacket, black linen shirt, white skinny tie, peg leg pants, sylvian hair, big sunglasses, and China flats with white socks. I drive a different car this year so I sort of showed up "incgonito"... if ya know what I mean. As soon as I got out of the car, I took a deep breath and whispered "Well, here goes nothin'..." As I walked through the parking lot, guys stuck their heads out the windows and stared. Chicks all turned their heads... But I didn't get egged so I though so far so good. As I walked into school I kept my head up high. I walked past a guy and heard him say "Who the heck is that? Well I know she didn't go here last year..." I heard someone else say "Hey, look it's Duran Duran" and a lot of girls burst out laughing. I also walked by my ex's cousin and her friends were all whispering "Who is that person?!?" She said "Oh my god that's my cousins ex... I hate her." I just smiled. So... A lot of people think I'm out of my mind but a lot of people, suprisingly, liked it!!! I tell ya, I was having such a good day but then I drove home the whole way with the emergancy parking brake on... I just thought I'd share about my New Wave day...

I haven't been excersizing a lot lately. But I have an off day tomorrow I can do it. I didn't get home until 4 PM today and I was pooped. However I have been staying very strict to my diet to keep it up. I have also been walking in heels for the first time in 5 years so that keeps me on my toes! (Literally!)

I am very sorry it has taken me so long to post- I have been so busy! School should be shortened!

Thank you all for stopping by and your interest!

:D
Sounds like you had a great day!! I'm so happy for you!
It takes a lot of guts to be yourself and you're going to be that person who everyone remembers after school.

Thanks so much!! I am very happy that you and the people on my forum understand... But it's you guy's opinions I value higher then the peeps that go to my school, I'll tell ya that!

Hey!! Sheidi!!

Another Japan fan- Freaking great!! I am always thrilled to find out about others who have heard of this beautifuly obscure band!! I agree with you about Sylvian & Sakamoto music- Every collaboration they do takes my breath away!! Whether it's Forbidden Colours, Bamboo Music, or World citizen- When they get together it is utterly magical!! Too cool you have Japan T-shirts! That is something I don't even have yet! TSK TSK! I need to buy some!! Anyway, I think you would really like my site... It's JapanSylvian.com at the bottom of my signature.

About the vitamin B thing- I often wake up and feel as if I have the arms of a corpse upon me, and they turn out to be my own! It's freaky as no other, and it hurts when the blood comes back! Sometimes a leg will be dead or even my butt at times. (LMAO) I will definately ask the doc about this too. I can't wait to see him. I really hope he can help me out! I am so glad they were able to help you.

Again - Amazing taste in music!!
