So a little trivia: I have a friend that just went to visit China for work and white is apparently a color associated with death. So I asked if they wear white to the funerals. I could've googled it but she supposed they did. Thought it was funny that we wear white for weddings...and my future hubby was against black for the bridesmaids but we are wearing death colors anyway!! lol

They do wear white to funerals--so do Koreans. :) Brides there wear white as well, though. Maybe bc marriage is like the death of singledom...lol.

:hurray: YAY I finally got great workout in! I hopped on my "LOWRIDER" lol aka stationary bike and did a whopping 9 MILES the most ever for me in 1 sitting,it took me 40 minutes to complete.I also did 100,crunches,25 girly pushups and 20 squats.So I woirked out a total of 55 minutes!WOOHOO,now to the BAD NEWS I need to come clean as you know I have been sick for about 5 days and up until the night before last I was eating badly which I did report here with but what I didn't report is the freaking scale said "185"I was mad and depressed so getting back on track,this morning looked ro be 183.5 so thats a start in the tight direction.I have until SATURDAY offically to get the rest of my exersices in for the challange but the GAIN may not be down intime.
Anyway the important thing is I feel GOOD now for exersicing my booty off and sticking to my menue plan,Tammy

Impressive workout!!! I did bad as well with food while sick and I did not exercise at all. Going from exercising 2 times/day to a nothing..nada really took a toll on my weight as well. I am up like 4 lbs from last Saturday... and i would love to blame water weight but I am afraid it is not it... Must be some of those oreos I was wolfing down the other day...
Sounds like we are both back in the game though... Keep going girl, you are an inspiration!!!

Hi Tammy

I think that you are doing really well to be exercising so much when you are ill. Dont focus on the part of the project that is less than positive - focus on the positive side.

As far as the challenge goes - I think that quite a few people will drop points this week. There is less than a day to go until weigh-in and my weight is currently up on the scales compared to last Friday / Saturday. These things happen to us all. It is just a game anyway.

The really big thing is that despite still being ill - you are exercising and back on track. Celebrate that fact.

:waving: Hello everyone,well weighed in "182" so up 1 LB which I am not complaining cuz when I have a bad week eating it usually whinds up a 5+ lb gain so I'll take that.I am having a DIFFERENT approach until after THANKSGIVING just to kepp me somewhat inline but I am eating somethings I like that are loaded with cals but I am working my butt off afterwards and still adding healthy foods like I had a HEALTHY breakfast and then not the greatest choices for lunch and dinner but I eliminated my snacks and worked out for about 1 hours and 10 minutes and didn't eat after 9PM and I stay up until 2AM on weekends.
HPWDY TO ALL THAT VISITED ME HAVE A GR8 WEEKEND!!OH BY THE WAY I came to the conclution that I have a sinus infection not a cold cuz it is staying up in my head and not going anywhere and when I blow my nose it is really thick dark green and blood in it,so I bought VICKS SEVER SINUS NOSE SPRAY and OMG as soon as I squirted 2 drops in each nostril I swear the snot vanished and I am only blowing like once every couple hours and the preasure is not so bad and the vapors makes your nose feel better,this stuff is GUATENTEED good stuff and cheaper $5.79:hurray:

OoOOoh girl... if it's dark green, you just becareful. You don't want that to hit the lungs. If it is an infection, get to the doctor's so he can prescribe some type of antibiotic so you won't feel so damn miserable. The Vicks nose spray is only temporary. Heaven knows, you can't be sick during Turkey Day. You won't be able to taste anything!! AHHHHHH!!!!!

This is how my "everyday head cold" turned into a bronchitis. The nose spray is awesome but not treating the cause just the symptoms you know. I use that stuff too just to be able to sleep and it does do wonders. So just be careful and you might want a doctor to see you, I waited too long... it has been 2.5 weeks now sick and I was still wheezing while exercising yesterday despite being on antibiotics for a week straight.
Take care of yourself girl, otherwise you can't take care of the family... :)

I agree with Sheryl, Stacy and Hajni - get to that doctor and ask for antibiotics and tell him how long you have been suffering with this.

A few days of antibiotics can make you feel a load better - but remember to take the whole course.

Go quickly - and you should be feeling a lot better before your bank holiday.

Ok I splurged and had a HUNGRY WOMANS BREAKFAST lol!BUT I am sticking to my plan,I don't know if thats really BAD BAD but I pretty much ate my calories in 1 meal bacon,hashbrowns,eggbeater eggs,french toast,1 cinnomon donut,fried taters w/ cheese,breakfast ham,yeah it was an all you can eat buffett bar so I am guessing all that was an easy 1200+ cals,so what I did was I stayed full from 10AM-7PM then I had and apple w/ peanutbutter then went and did 35 minutes on my strationary bike totalling 8.5 miles and danced for 20 minutes!So I don't feel bloated ot cowish I feel like I worked off alot of the breakfast.
I don't have insurance so I can't go to the docs unless it is and emergency but if it takes a turn for the worse I will call the healthpoint docs and see what I can do.TY all for caring about me.:iagree:

Its not a bad idea to work on maintence durning the holiday! this end of nov-end of dec month is really hard! You'll kick butt in the new year hun and i'll be there to push you!!

What a great idea Tammy!!! This is what the instructor in the gym told us... Don't worry about LOSING during the holidays, if you don't gain that is already a victory in itself!! LOL
You will do great!!! I kind of needed this past 1.5 weeks break to re-group myself also. I have my Thanksgiving dinner all planned out and it comes to 700 cals (with dessert), so I can even fit a nice breakfast in there and still have some wiggle-room.... I am lucky though: we are going over to MILs and I don't like her cooking... there will be no temptations there for me... LOL
I was asked to make my two famous cookies and tell you these are NOT LOW calories, so I just have to stay away from them..
Anyway, hoping you are having a terrific week !!!
