Hi everyone!
I'm new to the forum.
I want to thank everyone who has posted their before and after photos. They are so inspiring and helpful. That's why I wanted to post my pictures, although I'm really embarrassed to even look at them myself. In my mind, I don't think I look so bad until I look at pictures. I never knew I had so much back fat. I would love to see some shoulder blades! :( I posted before and deleted it because I felt so embarrassed, but you guys have given me the courage to post again.

I'm currently 154. I've lost 12 lbs so far (over like .. 6 months!), 25 more to go (though I think I'd be content with another 15). I've struggled with weight for a very long time now, and I really pack on the pounds during stressful times. I love to stay active with snowboarding and surfing but being so self-conscious holds me back from doing the things I love to do. I'm determined to lose the weight!

Update (10/10/08)

Now 144lbs (lost 10 and haven't budged).
Don't see much of a difference except at the waist :( but wanted to share with you all. It's been awhile! Hopefully I'll have more encouraging pictures in the next few months.

Sorry my camera was broken so I had to use my camera phone and my dirty bathroom mirror!

Sweetie just wanted to let you know that you are gorgeous!! And you will be even more gorgeous when you lose all of the weight that you want. I am so happy for you that you got up the courage to post these...now I guess I'll just have to get mine up...eek!!

Man......I can't wait until I have a nice little body like that! I'm five pounds heavier than you and my body doesn't look anywhere near as good as yours does!

Seriously, you have a nice body. Your right, 15 pounds would be plenty (in my opinion) and maybe a little toning, other than that, you look fantastic!

Good luck :)

wow you ladies are all so so nice!!! I'm so glad I have you all for support! I'm hoping by Feb I'll have some new pictures worth of posting :)

You're hot woman!

I wouldn't fret too much about your physique, take it from a guy... you look great. Will only get better from here.

Not so sure about your statement about the starvation mode, but that's ok.

Best of luck to you and don't hesistate to ask questions if things start to slowdown.

You have a very nice figure..

Not sure if you know this, but men love that body type. Not too thin, not big by any means, and great curves.

I think 150 for a 5'5 woman is the new 120. Not sure why, but it's that way with all my male friends.

are you guys serious? I've always thought my exes were just saying that to be nice ... but guys always gawk at the stick thin hollywood celebs/models .. so then I wasn't so sure. I was never skinny before, but I used to have a really flat stomach before I gained my weight. I always had the thick thighs/butt .. so I'm not sure how much weight I should aim to lose?

Nope.

That's the funny thing. The stick thin, crackhead looking women are the ones our society puts a spot light on..... however, none of the guys I know go for that sort of thing.

I like some curves and even some meat to my woman.

Lose until you are happy with what you see reflecting back at you in the mirror. Don't worry about putting a specific number on that.

from a guys view, you are drop dead gorgeous as is. You have a nice figure and like steve said it will only get better from here on. Also steve is right about those twig like women that society "loves" to see, however in my opinion i'd rather have a girl with meat and not just full of bones. Don't be shy about your body as it is right now becuase most guys love that type of body on women. Best of luck to you!!! :waving:

Totally serious. Not sure why there is a spotlight on the bone-thin women either. Someone must like them like that. I am not saying that 120 wouldn't look good on you, but you look great how you are as well. And yes, guys really do like women with your type of figure. More so imo than bone-thin.

Just wanted to say that you look amazing! You have a very well proportioned body, looks pretty firm too, not much fat that I can see. You're going to be drop dead gorgeous!! (think you already are...but even more when you get there).
Good luck with reaching you're goals! :)

What he said. I've NEVER heard a guy say that stick thin women look good, only magazines and other women. You look great!

You've got a very nice body - Good shape and a cute butt! You'd look amazing if you did lose those 15 lbs though! As it stands, you have a lovely body.

I think you're figure is lovely :) i'm lighter than u but i don't look nearly as good, my back is fatter and my stomachs less flat. I don't think u need to lose weight but i know that u wont belieive that :p
