New Years Hottie

The most important thing is that you got back on track after falling off. I'd recommend skipping the car accident next weekend :p Yeah, some more calories wouldn't hurt at all, you have room for a lot more in there, and it will help prevent cravings if you get more food in you. You seem pretty low on veggies, consider a salad with some fresh tomatoes or other sweet stuff on top. Oooh, you have room for croutons! :D

It looks like you are low on protein, too. I really like adding some chicken or salmon (I get canned stuff at costco for under 2 dollars a can!) onto my salads. It's not too bad and the can holds about 200 calories for the salmon, and about 350 for the chicken, so it is a very generous serving size.

It's good that you are paying attention to more than just keeping your numbers down!

Thanks QJay...I try to take in enough protein by drinking enriched soy milk and eating protein bars, white chili also has a lot of chicken in it so hopefully that will help. Veggies are always hard toward the end of a pay period (haven't gone to the store in a couple of weeks ;) ) plus my husband isn't a big fan, but I am going to try harder. I also added in some fruit and some chips yesterday because I was on the run. Thanks again for the input.

Totally happy today! Got on the scale and it came to 252.4!!!! Woohoo! I reached my goal for the 24th of January which was 253. Very, very happy. I think I am going to take the advice of a lot of people and start doing weight training at least twice a week next week. I'm also going to by a measuring tape and track my measurements weekly. I am so excited. I am totally going to break that 250 mark!

I also updated my ticker...I was putting my starting weight as 261, but in truth I started trying to loose weight in August, and I weighted 269. Not a big difference, but I'm getting so excited, and hey, I want to take credit for all the weight I have lost! :D

Your motivation is INCREASING! Excellent! It can be so hard to get and stay motivated when you change the way you eat; it's always so rough in the first few months.

It's also good that your weekend didn't cost you more than money ;)

hey NYH, just poppin in 2 say hi, i luved your posts...good luck on the wieght loss for this week!!!

p.s.- i have the same issues with eating and trying not to eat...last night almost turned into a binging rant ...but i tried to put myself to sleep instead!

good luck...and don't forget...EVERY DAY IS A BATTLE ...if you expect it..you have the upper hand!

Im really sorry about your accident, Im so glad everyone was ok, and youre doing really well keep it up!! ill stop by and check up on you!!! good luck!

Feeling very good today :)

Weighed in this morning at 251.7! That means I have lost 10 lbs this month! Very excited to break the 250 mark! Any ideas on how to celebrate?

This weekend I checked out a yoga DVD from the library. Last night I tried it for the first time and was surprised by how much it kicked my butt. I have decided to try to do 15 minutes of it twice a day (morning and night). I really liked it because since the wreck my back has been hurting me, but the stretching really helped.

I bought soem new workout clothes and a gym bag, so in about 15 minutes I am going to head over to the gym to work out 30 minutes at lunch. I'll probably just jump on a treadmill or something, but we'll see. I have been eating fairly healthy, so all is going well. I would be so happy to weight 245 or less by V-day!

Gosh, I can't believe this is working. :) SOOOO Happy!

I am feeling so great! At lunch I finally made myself go to the gym at work (we get a free membership, but I was putting it off because I was afraid I would look stupid)..What a wonderful way to spend my lunch break! The gym has so many different things to do, and it is very clean. I spent 35 minutes on a stationary bike. Woohoo! What a great Monday!

your doing great....

That is cool that you have a gym to fit a little extra in on your lunch. Just don't forget to save some time to eat as well.

Oh don't worry, I eat when I get back to my desk. My jobs basically consists of surfing the internet...I can take some time out of that busy schedule to eat :) Thanks!

Ways to celebrate.... Hmmm...
A night out to see a cool movie, a "neat thing" you have wanted for awhile, a new evening outfit, some "special" makeup or perfumy stuff, a big fancy book, a CD set you have been putting off, all sorts of stuff like that. :D
I work really hard to avoid using food as a reward for myself, it's just not a good idea for me.

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been on here in a while. I was going through a slump. My weight jumped to 253 and I started binging (not really binging, but my daily calorie intake went from about 1400 to 2300 for two days.) The weight never went above that (I'm so thankful) and yesterday I stuck to my good habits with a calorie intake of approximately 1600, 30 minutes of yoga, and 30 minutes on a stationary bike. Today I weighed in and to my joy weighed in at 250.7. Hopefully by Monday I will reporting back here as a preson who weighs less than 250. I can't even imagine :)

Ooooh! That would be good! Well, it sounds like things could definitely be worse! Even 2300 calories isn't too much if you are exercising. How healthy they were is also something important. If it was mostly Chocolate and French Fries, then it might be tougher to get rid of than if it was just normal healthy food in too large of quantities.
