New Year, New Start - Success in 2014!

Thanks Mandy :) Seems my weekends end up ruining my food intake LOL. Overate today and had some day old Timbits too...*sigh* hopefully the week will bring better food choices and less overeating. I'm still hungry but refuse to eat - drinking water instead. On the bright side lots of walking again today with the shopping! Hoping for a productive day at work tomorrow and good news for A on the interview from Friday.

As for Just Dance 4 - I have not tried it again. Upon further searching JD3 does not have a tutorial either, but JD2 does...however it was made for Wii not Xbox...luckily I have both systems. SO...looks like I'm spending another $20 (hopefully or less) to buy this game. Looked on EB Games and may have one Used at one place in the city and New at a different on but need to call and confirm before making the trip since they disappointed last time with JD4. If not Amazon it is :(
 
Weekends are a struggle for me too. I wind up at my parents and my dad always buys a bunch of junk food. I think we just need to remember why we're doing this and question whether or not the thing we want to eat is really worth it.
 
I think that it is normal to fluctuate a couple of pounds from day to day, I notice everyone seems to do that and I have also read that in a nutrition book.

Cory-you are right. I just need to remember that even just 1 Timbit slows down my whole progress and makes me want more. I still have that cute lil penguin chocolate staring at me at work. But I'm full from my cereal this morning and craving water over anything else.

And JadeLynn you are right as well. The fluctuations are normal, frustrating but normal. 134.5 this morning :( GO DOWN YOU SILLY SCALE! Again probably the bad eating from yesterday so will see how today goes.

Had Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast with 1% milk. Have left over stir fry, baby carrots (no dressing), an apple, and some bread for later. The bread if eaten will be either toasted with butter or will have some peanut butter put on it.

Must do some awesome workouts today, but sadly super tired today. The weekend FLEW by seriously and I slept late last night. Hoping work tonight isn't overly busy, but might try leaving at 10:30/10:45 either way. Once I hit my 5 hours they can't force me to stay. I'm just not getting enough good sleep and eventually both jobs and my health will suffer so we will see how that works out.
 
Good job with the food today! And you definitely need enough sleep. Sleep is ridiculously important for weight loss and overall health.

Great job losing 10 pounds!! I hope that having 2 jobs doesn't weigh on you too much! Your sari is very pretty! Don't worry about fluctuations. If you stay the course things will go the right way! I can 'gain' 5 pounds overnight from high sodium foods! As long as it's not true weight gain, once you flush that water weight out it will drop back down again.
 
Think I did good with food today. Did take a couple bites of the yummy penguin, and didn't drink nearly enough water so I may go up again tomorrow but we shall see.

134 this morning-with wet hair cuz silly me was rushing and forgot to weigh before showering. But still 0.5 down from yesterday, not quite back to my lowest yet but hopefully tomorrow. Sales conference call this afternoon, oh joy! Have bread, carrots, and an apple again at work. Temptations are the chocolate penguin on my desk and can of coke sitting in the fridge. Oh and of course I have my cereal for breakfast which I will eat shortly - thinking of measuring myself this morning and then again on Saturday to ensure the #'s are accurate. I think previously I may have been measuring my tummy and looking at my old waist measurement wondering how I had gained inches, but lost weight and tightened my belt :confused:

I noticed yesterday I think I've fallen behind in some work stuff so will try to catch it all up today and perhaps still have time for a workout and some Doctor Who! A and I are both watching it on Netflix - he is ahead of me right now given he is not working. Must catch him! Also he may be trying to get a used $10 copy of Just Dance 2 for me today. If it's actually there - I need to call and check.

On the bright side A got a job today! He starts Monday, YAY! :party: More pay hourly, but only 8 hours instead of 10/day so overall lower pay but damn good feeling! And it means he has more time at home to clean and cook and other stuff. Or perhaps he can find a second job and I can quit mine (though I do kinda like working the 2 jobs, and it would give me security if I quit my main one that I could work extra hours there instead...but anyways). So will redo the budget to account for the short pay but definitely happy that he is going to be working again and making money - and it didn't even take him a week! :D

I have eaten nothing yet today and it is 11:15, already done practically no work. LOL. Time to get to it!
 
Great losses! I need to measure myself again. I haven’t measured since Nov. Wonder what my results will be.

Glad to hear A got a job! Even if it’s a less money overall job, it’s still a job. It’s tough out there right now so every bit helps. Worse case he can still look for something better on his time off right? :)

It sounds like a great company with possible future heavy duty mechanic apprenticeship. And sounds like they respect their employees which is rare now.

Happy about the measurements but hoping for more losses soon.
 
134.5 today :( And super low energy! Been stuck at my desk all morning dealing with emails and phone calls. Leaving soon to deposit chq into bank and pickup bridesmaid sari's. But I think first I shall eat because I am STARVING! And also waiting for A to stop by and drop of money to be deposited as well.

Will be in Vancouver first week of Feb for work training which means I lose 1 week worth of part-time pay, will be eating out for a full week, and will likely not end up working out :( Hoping to get a new battery for my old laptop - at least then I can play WoW in the evenings and perhaps even try to mimic some of the Just Dance YouTube videos to learn moves. Will have to see how it works in a hotel room. Sadly it's the week of my birthday so won't be spending it with A, but may be able to go out for a Bday dinner with my dad instead - we shall see once details are finalized.

Sorry you're leaving A on your birthday week. That's no fun! :(

Since you know you'll most likely be eating a lot of take out on that week at least you can plan ahead to make healthier choices. Maybe go for salads or grilled chicken sandwiches instead of greasy cheeseburgers, etc. It'll be a tough week, but you can do it! :)
 
Since I won't be doing my usual cereal and won't be bringing food to work I will definitely have to make good choices. Probably will end up getting a white hot chocolate from second cup/starbucks like I did last time I was there. I didn't get a car - got a ride to/from the hotel for the 3 days I was there. Must also make sure I do SOMETHING at night or in the morning for a workout - even if it's low intensity pushups, crunches type thing. If I'm in the same hotel as last time I will likely end up caving and getting a white chocolate brownie since there is a Moxie's there. No fridge in the room last time I was there so no saving left overs for the next day either. Though while I'll be gone my actual birthday I will be back for the weekend, plus we don't usually do anything for birthdays, just maybe eat out or something.

Must ensure I do salads with dressing on the side, and grilled chicken over burgers - definitely. And lots of water. Will have no scale so no weighing in all week - that could be tough! I will likely gain that week but hopefully not much and hopefully will lose it all quickly. Must ensure the next 2 weeks are awesome to makeup for it! There will be 3 of us total, me, a lady from Ottawa, and a guy from Toronto. Hopefully they don't put us ladies in the same room - I want my privacy!

But it's super late and I should REALLY get to bed. Been watching YouTube Just Dance vids that people have posted - should have just loaded it up and done something but oh well. Must workout tomorrow!
