New Year, New Start - Success in 2014!

134 today. Hoping to do a workout and catch up on everyone's diaries but super behind in work. Have some displays to setup and get ready for shipping since I've procrastinated and put it off for months and now some needs to ship today. Go me!

133.5 this morning. Hopefully I lose a few for tomorrow's weigh in. Trying to not procrastinate and get work done...so far not so good. Need the afternoon to be very productive to end off the week!

Oh yeah, and with that weight it means I need a whopping 3.5 lb loss overnight to hit my goal. Most I've done is 2.5, but you never know! Hoping with the new challenge starting tomorrow I will be getting more exercise and that will FINALLY help kick start this into high gear. Running out of time!

Good luck with the new challenge!
Stay on your feet, it's amazing how much more cals one burns. Have a great weekend Icy.

Thanks Clarissa :)

133 today, back to my lowest but that's not good enough. Horrible eating day so betting I will be up tomorrow again *sigh* MUST get a good workout in tomorrow!! And lots of water.

Was back to 133.5 Sunday morning. Blah. But it's late (or early depending on how you look at it) and I gotta be up in a few hours for work. Will post more later.

Half a pound is nothing to worry about it. I know it's frustrating, but it could just be a weird water fluctuation or something. You know how it goes. I'm sure you'll be below 133 soon. :)

132.5 this morning, NEW LOW! And yet I'm in a bad mood. So I apologize for this post as it really isn't about weight loss but I need to vent and write.

A started his new job today which is great. Not sure how it's going but hope to talk to him later and find out.

Was talking with A and my mom on the weekend about the wedding and decided we will get rid of the chair sashes and only do the seat covers. This will save a small amount of money (or more as it would have been about $225 if we wanted them to come set the sashes up to which I was debating since they were organza and needed the bows done nicely and essentially all the same which can be hard to do) and also stress on my end since I wouldn't be there to set them up or watch them be setup. Need to get hold of the lady and ensure that is OK - should be fine though.

Then we were talking about alcohol and I decided to email the hall manager again and find out first: If he had decided on a flat fee for the non-alcoholic drinks, and second details on if we did corkage. So here is the back story. They usually charge $1.50 per non-alcoholic drink - so juice and pop. But at a wedding I didn't want my guests to have to pay for this so I asked about a flat fee and he said they have never been asked that and he was sure we could work something out. So I figured it would likely be more than the $1.50 per person but less than the $3.50 corkage. Well he has come back to me this morning and said he is not willing to do a flat fee for the non-alcoholic bar tab. WHAT? WTF changed? Fine, whatever, I'll try to argue later with him on that. Update as I'm writing this since I asked him what changed - he says "I believe I said I would think about it. Later, I suggested you "make me an offer" to consider." I DID make him an offer and he never got back to me and now he nixed the whole thing because he doesn't know my family and friends and isn't willing to risk a loss on pop and juice sales because he agreed on too low a rate. WTF? He doesn't want to take a loss, but I also don't want to end up with a $1000 bill afterwards.

The other thing I have been struggling with is how to go about allowing my wedding party (and a few others like parents and 1 friend) to drink free. My thoughts? Well we could do a ticket system where if they have a ticket the bartender marks down the drink they ordered and we pay the full tab at the end of the night. Simple enough right? Well no, because we have been told that isn't gonna happen. We can prepurchase tickets though! No discount on these tickets, and no refund for any we don't use. So...what's the point? Unless we wanted a set # of drinks for everyone including us that doesn't work, plus it would be at the lower drink cost ($3.75) and if we wanted a premium liquor we'd have to pay the additional $.50 which is OK I guess but if we are going to have to bring cash anyways then why bother with the tickets in the first place? Especially if they aren't refundable afterwards?

So I asked about corkage. If we do the corkage ($3.50 pp (need to confirm if this is only adults over 18, people over 12, or everyone) plus I'd have to pay for a bartender) then we would also have to purchase liquor which means a more limited selection for our guests which I guess is OK, but could end up costing more. Anyways, I asked if we did corkage could we do cash and tickets at the bar? Essentially you either pay cash (whatever cost we decided - and we get all revenue for it) or you have a ticket (which we would provide) and pay nothing. So now with all of this I'm almost debating losing the $350 deposit and going somewhere that WILL work with us on these details. Also maybe a place that would do the English food we want as well as the Lamb Curry A is wanting so we don't have to outsource it and make those arrangements. We are spending a LOT of money on this wedding and it's still not coming out the way we want it. Getting really really frustrated and pissed off and these little details that are becoming big issues. Am I just overreacting, or is he being more difficult than he could be?

I am pissed off and not wanting to be at work. Was thinking of trying to do lots this morning, go home and try out Just Dance 2 - tutorial mode to learn the moves, and then go to work this evening. But not sure I can think straight enough to get lots done, and since I have stuff to ship I can't leave until I set that up and the courier picks up. Perhaps other days this week and from now on I will do that though. Essentially work until noon and then leave unless I know I am expecting someone/something or am shipping stuff.

And of course with the determination of wanting to leave early it was super busy and I ate lunch late and am now having to leave for my other job. We shall see how I'm feeling when I get home tonight but I am still determined and hope that stays with me so I can get a workout in when I get home. Not just for myself, but also for the Orange Team.

Thanks Cory :) I'm doing well with keeping track of the food/mood for the weekly task, but the exercise is not working out! To hit the 300mins I will need to average an hour a day today through and including Friday.

133 today - fluctuations suck! And now I need to find a Saturday we can book an hour or so to visit the damn hall and meet the damn Manager again to go over the rest of the little details that we can't seem to properly discuss over email. My fear is that A and I will get pissed off because the guy won't budge on things that would make it easier for us - like this flat fee or per person charge for non-alcoholic drinks. He came back with the $3.50 corkage but that's not what I was asking for. GRR!!! Need to make a list of ALL questions I have for him and ALL details so we can iron everything out short of finalizing napkin colors and food and final head count. I haven't even done invitations yet! Running out of time for everything...5 months left.

Got another busy work day but hoping since my shipments were scheduled yesterday for pickup today that they will be picked up early and I can go home and test out JD2 again. Did a bit last night but not much before bed.

Good luck with your meeting today. I hope it goes well. :)

And, yes I definitely agree that those fluctuations do suck!

132.5 again today. Haven't had time to post, taking a few to update challenges and all - hope to catch up on everyone's diaries soon!

Had the appt with the orthodontist...no guarantee but almost $7600 cost and 18-24 months for invisalign or braces. They say braces would likely work better. Other options, or short term option (will greatly depend on what insurance will cover) is to simply get a filling to fill the gap between my front teeth which is what I really want to fix. But that will not fix the slight overbite, or crossbite that I have. SO...yeah...fun! I really want to avoid braces because of the look as well as the food restrictions and extra cleaning and care required - invisalign would be a much better solution but may not work as well. However I could start it now, and it should help fix the gap at least a little before the wedding. Thinking depending whats covered I will go with invisalign, and if closer to the time I need to I will get a temporary filling and then have it removed to finish the invisalign process. *sigh* so much to think about! Need the cost of the filling still.

I will tell you that I read some things about invisalign sometimes being harmful to gum tissue. I'd research that pretty thoroughly before I made a decision.

Icy, hope you got your workout in today. I know how you feel about not making progress right now; I am at a plateau myself, and above my low.
Your sari material looks lovely!

133 this morning. Going to try doing my posts quickly and hopefully will have time to catch up on some diaries - be so slacking!
Yesterday was decent - did get some walking/running inside done...well more like jogging but hey it was something!

Cory: Good to know! Thanks! I need to submit the pre-approval form to see what my insurance will even cover as that may make my decision easy for the short term. But will definitely do more research before moving forward. The orthodontist has invisalign, and the assistant lady is getting braces mostly because as a child she would always forget to put her retainer and all in, braces are less effort on that side of things.

GreenSurf: Thanks :) I need to post a pic of the bridesmaids ones soon - they are on my phone. As for the no progress - I am running out of time and fast! How is it almost end of January? Hoping this exercising starts working though I need to do more intense stuff I think to have it do much. And stop with the Coke I am drinking again *sigh* it helps me stay awake!

I can't imagine all of the stress you're under. So many things must be floating around in your head. I'm glad you got some exercise in. Every little bit helps and I hope it helped to get rid of some stress too. :)
