Hello everyone. Well the weekend went pretty well. My husband and I left Abby with my grandma and had a date. We ate out at a nice restaurant, went to the movie Night at the Museum, which is really good by the way and just had a really good time. We had to book it home on Sunday to beat the freezing rain. We got home just in time. We woke up this morning to everything covered with ice. Our county was the worst hit county in Michigan. 20,000 people are without power here but amazingly we still have ours. And of course my husband is the electrical engineer who is pretty much in charge of all of this so he was out assessing damage all day. Meanwhile, I'm sick I don't know what it is. I have horrible laryngitis so I can hardly speak, nausea, dizziness... I went to the doctor today and he's going to have me get some bloodwork done whenever the lab gets back up and working after this horrible storm. Anyway, I think I'm going to take the week of exercising in order to let myself get better. I am going to stick to my diet though. I did really good today with calories, 1500 on the dot but I'm just too tired to post my menu. I'll talk to everyone later
hello Well, I'm down to the last 10 lbs of my weight loss goal and I'm going to make some changes. I'm not going to count calories anymore because I'm going to start easing myself into a lifestyle change as opposed to a diet, I can't count calories my whole life! My husband and I have decided to change our eating habits. More whole grain and less enriched stuff, less sodium, we're getting away from the boxed and canned foods and moving towards fresh ingredients, Chicken on the George Foreman grill instead of fried in butter, etc. I am getting taken off my blood thinners (hopefully!) in about a week so I can start eating salads (healthy ones of course) and steamed broccoli. Also, instead of weighing myself once a week I'm going to weigh myself everyday; I can't really explain why I'm going to start doing this but I feel like it the right thing, I know these last 10 are going to be the hardest to lose and I want to keep my eye on them the best that I can. Anyway, this is the new plan wish me luck on these last 10 lbs!
Wow! Good luck on those last 10 pounds! Good thinking about the lifestyle change as opposed to counting calories your whole life! I think that by now, you probably have an excellent idea of what 1200 calories actually is!
Lunch: artificial crab meat mixed with fat free miracle whip on half of a whole wheat pita pocket and 100 calorie pudding
Snack: half a grapefruit with sugar sprinkled on top
Snack: *because I knew we wouldn't be eating dinner until about 8:30!* a half of a sandwich (white bread turkey, roast beef, lettuce, fat free miracle whip)
Dinner: chicken on George Foreman grill, steamed carrots, applesauce
I think I did good for my first day of no calorie counting
