New beginnings, new journey

I'll probably go back and finish all the Assassin den quests, I spent a lot of time getting all my assassins up to master assassin and then doing the first part of all those quests. Also I want to go back in and buy everything I missed, just because... I'd say it probably still has several hours of entertainment left in it!

Mmm rice pudding for breakfast was an AWESOME idea, so yum! Here's the recipe I used: http://www.charskitchen.ca/2010/09/kreamy-rice-pudding.html I used brown rice instead and put it in the slow cooker on high for 3-4 hours. The rice didn't soften completely but I like it, little nutty chewy lumps. Yum! I also doubled it and divided it into 4 serves, so breakfast for most of the week!

Ahhh, off to work... No one should be up at this hour, seriously. I'm sosososo tired!

I cannot believe you finished that already! You are hardcore! ;) But yeah, there is so much to do in those games, you can spend months going back and finding new things. Are you doing multiplayer at all? That looks like a blast!

That rice pudding looks delicious... and it's made with almond milk? I'm so on board!

Yea I used almond milk, came out so nice!! Because I used brown rice though it took FOREVER. I didn't have any white rice in my cupboard so didn't have a choice, but it was worth the extra long cooking time.

SO.... ended up working 5am-3:30pm, officially the longest day of work since I injured myself... and now my knee is fairly fucked. I was feeling 100% for like the whole day, and then when I was walking out my knee suddenly started to feel so damn weird. It felt really cold under my knee cap and felt like I had water dripping on it or something- weirdest feeling ever. And it got really weak- got home and was over it straight away so grabbed the crutches and am currently using it to get around. So pissed off- put ice on it again too because it got a bit swollen.

So tomorrow is weigh day, managed another perfect day today... better have a good weigh in tomorrow!!!! Starting work at 9, no idea when I'll be knocking off... going to say it'll have to be a short one.

Food tomorrow

Breakfast: Brown rice pudding

Snack: Spirulina and cashew bar

Lunch: Kitz chunks

Snack: Coconut water

Dinner: Popchips

For a deficit of around 880cals.

64.7kg today! So 700g from my lower weight a fortnight ago... or 900g from last week lol. Either one I'm happy with!! I would absolutely love it if I could weigh 63 point something by next week!!!

Feeling sorry for myself today... my knee is being a bitch to me right now. I miss my family, and friends, being able to exercise, having places to go... I'm just stuck in bed with ice on my knee again. It fully sucks. Just being a sad sack today...

On a brighter note, I got a reply about the courses I was looking into studying, and if I do my advanced diploma in Naturopathy, I also get the Adv. Dip in both Nutrition and Western Herbal Medicine as well. So I'm going to do that! I'll be living back in the city by the time I've finished studying anyway so doing clinic hours won't be a problem. So yay, going to put in a proper application! At least I'll have something to do if this healing process takes a long time!! Really hope not, I actually want to be able to enjoy my holiday in Feb... Want to be able to actually burn some body fat too!! I jiggle in places that weren't even jiggly at my highest weight!!

Food plan for tomorrow

Breakfast: Homemade brown rice and almond milk rice pudding (yum, really can't tell you how awesome it is)

Snack: Coconut water

Lunch: Kofta curry with chicken breast, cauliflower and lentils

Snack: Raw cacao bar

Dinner: 2 sunflower seed cracker slices with homemade hummus

For a deficit of 855cals.

Working 12-7 tomorrow, so get a sleep in (not that I actually can sleep in!)

AHeya sweetie

Sorry i haven't been around for what seems like ages, i know i've been away but i feel neglectful!!

I can't believe you have finished that game!!! I told Mark and he was like 'wow, did she play it 24/7?!?' That is hardcore lol

Sorry to hear your knee is playing up again, that really sucks. Hope you're up and about, back to your old self soon.

Your food always sounds so amazing. I am gonna have to stop reading what you eat cos i always read diaries in the evening and you always make me wanna raid the kitchen lol

Arrgh... So my husband started work with me at 9am yesterday morning, and I was msging him at 9pm last night asking him when he was getting home (he was supposed to finish at 7, but he always works a few hours extra) he told me he was going to have a bit of a long shift... Didn't get home until 5am this morning! I was really angry with him and he couldn't understand why, he was really tired and just wanted a cuddle... told him it wasn't good for him and the company didn't appreciate it. Think I was really only upset because I was in a bad mood last night and could've used the company. The area manager is due to come in either the end of this week or beginning of next so I know he's going to be pulling some hours, but that was ridiculous. He starts at 12 again today too with me.

I did kinda manage to get back to sleep after he got home, properly woke up around 6.30. I've ordered some new work shoes that should be here Fri, I think my current ones are putting a lot of strain on my ankles, and I've been getting random aches particularly in the ankle and heel on the same leg as my dodgy knee... So hopefully they will help. Also ordered some vitamins to help with the healing process, and the store manager where I work suggested I try bowen therapy. I looked it up, think I might give it a shot. Can't believe we even have a therapist up here! Supposed to be good for soft tissue injuries so it can't hurt.

Hahaha Kate I wouldn't eat it if it wasn't good!! I tried to drag the game out, but I just wanted to find out how it ended... I'm impatient, what can I say!

Seriously though I think that rice pudding is getting better as it ages... nom nom nom

My knee is doing a fair bit better today, but my poor feet/ankles!! My shoes are killing me! Didn't realise how bad it actually was until last night after having my feet up for a while, I started getting a big ache through the arches of my feet and around my ankles and heels... was a bit hmmm, that's random. Until I put my shoes for work on again today and the ache was back INSTANTLY, plus pain in one of my big toes... SOOOO hope my shoes come Fri!!

Ended up finishing work just before 6.30, I ran out of things to do. Might be having a short one tomorrow too, depending on how long it takes for them to bring the money to fill the safe. I'm going in at 8:30-ish and will either be leaving around 12pm or 4pm, depending on how things are going on the back dock. To be honest I'd prefer to work the longer hours for the money, but we'll see what happens.

Food plan for tomorrow

Breakfast: Brown rice and almond milk pudding (making more of this tomorrow!! It's too damn good lol)

Snack: Coconut water

Lunch: Wild grain gluten free toast with tomato, spinach and homemade hummus

Snack: Apple cinnamon chunks

Dinner: Milkshake made with frozen banana, 1 cup coconut/rice milk blend, 1 scoop vanilla vegan rice protein powder, 1 tbsp cherry butter

For a calorie deficit of 912.

Had my first weight loss comment today, and it was SO awkward. There's an older casual guy that I see every now and then working, and he came up to me all concerned because I still walk around fairly gingerly. He commented on that straight away and asked if the stress of that had caused me to lose weight! Argh I was like, um, no, I've just been eating really healthy since I can't exercise anymore. Then I ran away lol (I lie, I hobbled away as fast as I could hobble)

Good job on the weight loss!!! WIth no exercise you are doing amazing keep it up Lucy give yourself sometime to heal!!!

AHeya sweetie

Totally jealous that you live on ice cream and rice pudding. i couldn't make myself that kind of stuff cos i would eat it all at once.
So get where you are coming from with comments making you feel akward...I'm like that all the time.

Hope the new shoes make a difference :)

When I make the rice pudding, I divide it into 4 containers straight away and freeze 2... then I have one for now, one for the next day, and then I defrost the last two when I need them. For some reason it just stops me from eating a lot more than I should! Same with the ice-cream, I'd only freeze enough for one portion the night before, so I can only eat what I have the next day.

Seems kind of pointless going to work if I could potentially only be there for 3 hours... but hey, still getting paid. I'm off to finish getting ready and get this pud in the slow cooker!!

Hmmm, what brand of shoe do you prefer for exercise, Luz?

I've gone through about 4 pairs of New Balance 993 (great shoe!), and I use my older ones for work and stuff. Sure, they've lost some padding, but they're comfortable enough to keep me from getting foot pains through the day.

There is a men and women version, and they're a bit pricey, but good shoe! I found a black pair that has a sole that glows green in the dark, hehe

Mmmm, that food plan sounds very nice compared to my pretty average bars. Damn.. shouldn't have read that while feeling so hungry. Need some gum now! :p

Well, that fella could've really used more tact when commenting about someone's weight. He should've said how friggin' great you look, followed by light questions about your leg. Damn insensitive men!

Hope your feet start feeling better soon, Luz!

Hrmm, I wish I could end my recent diary responses with something other than 'Feel better soon!' all the time :[ Everyone is either sick or in some kind of physical pain. :)

Let's hope we're all back to 100% after the holidays are over!

Hey Froggy!! I wear Asics for exercise, but haven't used them in almost 2 months... it's my work shoes that are giving me the shits! I'm so glad today was a short day, just have to get through tomorrow and hopefully my shoes will be here when I get home! Haha that's awesome that you found glow-in-the-dark soled shoes... I leave my shoes everywhere, I can just imagine waking up in the middle of the night going WTF.............!!!!? at something randomly glowing! I know that guy meant well, he was genuinely concerned, but yea it was awkward. Haha!

Ended up working 7.30-12 today. Have a longer one tomorrow, starting at 6am and working till sometime in the afternoon... got more to do! So YAY! Other work-related news- I finally went ahead and ordered a size 10 work skirt as the current one I'm wearing is swallowing me whole... it's supposed to be mid-thigh length, but when I stand up it drops down on my hips and comes down to my knees. My work shirt is a tent though so you can't tell my skirt is falling down... unless you notice me pulling it up every 2 seconds lol. All my undies are really baggy on me now too... Trying to save money though for our holiday!!!! I've spent heaps this week though, I ordered a really awesome yogurt maker because I want to start making almond milk yogurt... Got some vitamins to help with the tendonitis... Got some clothes (including my work skirt)... Umm... Also bought a vegan cheese-making cook book... Work shoes... I know I've ordered more than that (which is scary)!! I've worked out a budget and really need to stick to it from next week onward to get to my money goal by holiday time too! Should probably set it up in excel next to my weight loss goal which I'm hoping to reach at the exact same time.

Need to book the husband in to see a doctor sometime next week, he's been having really horrible migraines at least once a week (sometimes more). He's always had migraines and he's had millions of tests and stuff done, but now they're more frequent so time to go back and see what the doctor says.

O and my new gluten free bread I tried was really nice! It still has the weird crumpet-like texture of gluten free bread, but it was so nutty and goooood with my hummus!!!

Ended up a bit snacky this arvo, had some popchips and raw chocolate... ended the day on a 356cal deficit. Not TOO bad.... just means to get to this weeks deficit I need 4 days of 1000cals! Bring it!

Food tomorrow

Breakfast: Homemade brown rice pudding

Snack: Apple cinnamon chunks

Lunch: Sunflower slices with homemade hummus

Dinner: Herbed chicken breast with steamed potatoes

For a deficit of 1007cals.

Ended up having the LONGEST DAY EVER. My husband decided last night that he wanted to start at 5am today, so I had to start with him to get to work. Didn't get out until just before 4pm! It was the most frustrating day ever, and I'm so tired. So glad it's the weekend!!

Food plan for tomorrow

Breakfast: Homemade brown rice pudding

Snack: Coconut water

Lunch: Gluten free pizza base with homemade hommus and spinach

Snack: Piece of toast with jam

Dinner: Smoothie with frozen banana, scoop of protein powder and coconut milk/rice milk blend
