YOU ARE SUCH AN INSPIRATION.

keep up the great work chick!! lots of love!!xxxxxxx

Thanks guys, you only push me to do better this month!!!!!!!!!

Worked 6-2 today, so managing longer days without too much hassle. I'm still not fast on my feet but I can go pretty much the whole day up until the last couple of hours without hobbling. Ate my curry already, it smelled WAY too good. Putting the frozen broccoli in was pretty genius too, it watered the sauce down a little and when I stirred it the broccoli kind of disintegrated and made the whole thing thicker- it was like curried broccoli soup. Was YUM!! So ending today on a deficit of 881cals.

Think I'm working around the same hours tomorrow, the cashier is picking me up tomorrow though and she gets here SO early. Tomorrows food plan:

Breakfast: Homemade ice-cream with almond milk, Amazing grass choc powder, tbsp choc coconut butter, and 25g raw choc granola (ran out of bananas, gotta make those cals up with something!)

Snack: Choc coconut Larabar

Lunch: 40g apple chips, Greek salad, Coco Exposed coconut water

Dinner: Chicken chickpea broccoli curry leftovers

Should give me a deficit of 918 for the day.

So... I thought I'd quickly write now as today when I knock off work, I'll be playing Assassins Creed Revelations IMMEDIATELY so probably won't post again today, lol. Swapping dinner out too for a bag of popchips, just so I can eat and play. How bad am I? Will still end the day on a 926cal deficit today though.

Don't really have much to say, I just woke up and so I'm a bit scattered, and now going to work. Have a good day all!!!!!!!!

Yea got stuck into it for 4 hours, taking a break now to watch some TV... and back to it again later!!!!!!

Food plan for tomorrow

Breakfast: Homemade icecream with almond milk, Amazing grass choc powder, tsp honey, tbsp peanut butter, and topped with raw choc granola

Snack: Ginger snap Larabar

Lunch: Cinnamon apple chips and raw goji and choc chunks

Snack: 1 row raw dark almond chocolate

Dinner: Instant masala lentil pilaf

For a deficit of 886cals.

Starting work at 6am again tomorrow, OVER these freakin early shifts!!!! Oh well, means I'll have all afternoon free to play AC! Nearly Thurs already, craziness... 2 perfect days down, 5 more to go!

Worked 6-2 today... get a sleep in tomorrow, yay! Working 12pm-7. Ended the day on a 912cal deficit... 3 perfect days down, 4 to go!

Tomorrows plan- just going to divide it between before work and at work, since I'm working an awkward shift.

Before work-

Homemade ice-cream with almond milk, Amazing grass powder, dark choc peanut butter, topped with raw choc granola

2 slices raw sunflower seed slices with vege spread

Instant Masala lentil pilaf

At work-

Choc chip cookie dough Larabar

2 pieces of raw choc chip goji chunks

Should end the day with a 913cal deficit.

My dodgier knee has been being pretty weird today, it keeps twitching on and off but really fast, like it's buzzing. It's really annoying, like having a twitchy eye that won't stop! Didn't help that I spent way more time on my feet today... argh it's just driving me mental. Think I might take a valium today, I've been trying to hardly have them, probably only once or twice a week, just because I know they can be addictive. It's just annoying that that's really all I have to make my legs calm down! I can sleep it off tomorrow morning anyway.

I have been thinking about this for a while now... I'm going to apply to study next year I've decided! I'm still tossing up between naturopathy and nutrition, but leaning towards nutrition as it's more mainstream. Both courses touch on all subjects... and the electives in both are pretty awesome too. I think it'll be easier for me to do external clinic placement up here as a nutritionist though, have no idea where I'd do it as a naturopath! I just have so much spare time and I feel my brain slowly turning to goo just working in a supermarket and playing video games. If I'm going to be stuck up here for a few years, may as well make the most of it!

So much for a sleep in by the way... I was wide awake before 6am. Damn you early work shifts!!!!!!!!!!! So glad it's Friday, I'm ready to chill out for a few days!

That's great! :)

You'd be awesome in whichever field you choose! Nutrition is something I've been thinking of pursuing as well :)

Take it easy on your leg too! Hope you feel better and try not to let Revelations turn your brain to goo for too much longer! :D

btw, my broke roommate is totally jealous that you're playing it :] He wants it sooooo bad.. but has no money! doh.

I studied Cert 3 in fitness last year, and while I enjoyed it it wasn't something I could really see myself pursuing as a career... crazy work hours and long days/ split shifts wasn't something I really wanted to be doing daily. So I didn't study it further (also money was pretty tight with me studying full time and working part-time). It'll be way easier on me studying externally part time and working full time, plus I'll have something to fill up my spare time since there is nothing to do up here!

Thought I'd post tomorrows planned food since I probably won't get around to it tonight:

Breakfast: Homemade ice-cream with rice milk/coconut milk blend, hemp seed butter, amazing grass choc powder, topped with raw choc granola

Snack: Row of raw almond chocolate

Lunch: Banana bread flax seed bar

Dinner: Slow cooked chicken Korma with lentils and broccoli

for a deficit of 1044cals. Decided to bust it out the last 4 days this week- going to try for 1000cal deficits every day! I don't mind going a bit lower on weekends as I literally don't move at all all day, whereas at work I think I move around a lot more than I realise. I want to see a good loss this week after not losing last week!!!!

Ahhhh I want Revelations, tell me everything!!! ;) hehe

Wow naturopathy sounds sooo interesting! But you're right, might be a harder one to get into. Are those programs like certificate programs or are they from a university? I know the Nutrition major at my school is pretty hardcore, but what's crazy is how many different focuses it has, there are so many different avenues to take nutrition! I think both would be really stimulating and rewarding, that's very exciting!

I was thinking of doing my advanced diploma (3 years part-time), then if I want to afterward I can go to uni properly and get a degree... I'm happy with what I can do with just the certificate though, I wasn't really planning on working in a hospital or anything like that so a degree isn't really necessary... was even thinking of doing the nutrition, and then completing the units for naturopathy afterward. The courses have most of the same core units so it wouldn't take long after getting one to get the other. I just need something to get my brain working again!

Haha Revelations is pretty awesome, I've just been running around and recruiting assassins and buying shops to make money... I like being rich, makes the rest of the game more fun when you have all the best weapons etc. I have actually done a few of the quests, I just get sidetracked easily!!

I woke up at 4:30am this morning (on a freakin SATURDAY) with my husband pacing and then he went outside and came back in... he was driving me MENTAL so I asked him what was wrong- he needed to get ready for work but our water had been restricted!! Arrgh!!! So took him a million times longer to get ready and I couldn't get back to sleep. When he went to work he rang the water corp straight away, and they said there's a big tear in the pipeline they've been trying to fix all night and could be up to another 5 hours... the whole town doesn't have water, not just us. Who would willingly live this far out in the middle of nowhere where this stuff just happens all the time?? I don't understand! (Can you tell I'm more of a city person?) We were on cyclone watch all yesterday too, not alert or anything... just apparently it was perfect cyclone conditions. There was random lightning all night!

So my hemp seed butter ice-cream was interesting (but YUM!) Kind of tasted like a mix between peanut butter and sesame seeds. It's way too early to have already eaten breakfast though, ergh... maybe I'll sleep in tomorrow!

Work was fine yesterday, it went SO fast! Managed to stock up on coconut water- we are the only place up here that sells ANY brand and it sells out right away... as I was leaving they just put a box on the shelf (6 bottles) and I bought them all. MWAHAHAHA!!! Oh, we didn't have any broccoli though, so my curry I'm making today is going to have cauliflower in it instead.

Holy crap, Luz :( That sucks!!

Getting woken up early to bad news is always shitty. Cyclones too? lol, sheesh.. and I thought my last couple days were bad. You poor girl :( Well, at least you have Revelations to keep you occupied :))

Hopefully you get your water back sooner rather than later!

Hey hun, i have to go there but i just want to say YOU ARE DOING AWESOME. You should so do a diploma by the way, it would be no bother to ya;)

keep up the great work hun xxx

I think the advanced diploma sounds like what we call an Associates Degree -- it's a 2 year program for full time and they just kind of take out all the GE units and pack it full with all the hard stuff so you learn everything important in half the time. That sounds like a great, challenging program and one that will definitely get your foot in the door!

Haha I laughed so hard when you were talking about people willingly living so far away from everything! When I was a kid my grandparents lived out in the country in a place that was so rural that they didn't even have a regulated system like that, instead they were on well water that was pumped into the house by an electric pump... sooooo every winter when the power went out, which was often, and we were waiting for the power to be restored, which was long because being such a small town we were very little priority, we would have to walk out 10 acres to the well to get water! I thought my grandparents were nothing short of nuts for living there, but they loved it! Ahh, to each his own! :p

Hope they got it fixed, I'm cranky without a good shower in the morning!

This wonderful town we live in is in a cyclone zone... I've read that on average this place gets between 4-6 severe cyclones a year (cyclone season is between Nov- March) and during the actual summer months we get one or two thunderstorms a week... plus flooding, severe humidity, and extreme heat. The houses up here are all built without gutters and with tin roofs too so the water just runs straight off during storms. OH, and because of where we live, most insurance companies won't give you contents insurance because it's a high risk zone... and any that do, charge you more than you can afford. Argh!

I'm so NOT a country person. Actually no, scrap that... I don't mind being in the country, but not up here. It's not really a country town, it's a desert mining town. I grew up in a country town and I never had any problems with it, but it was waaaay down south where there was green, and cooller weather. It's November and for the past month it's been 35-40 degrees c every day... not even officially summer yet!

Can't imagine having to walk to a well to get water though... I'm pretty sure I'd die doing that in this climate! Mind you we can't even drink the water up here, have to buy it. It's treated bore water, and while it might be safe to drink, it tastes like chlorinated pool water. So much calcium in it too, the build up on our taps and shower heads up here is crazy! The water came on again about an hour later- just felt sorry for my husband trying to get ready for work.

I made an awesome food discovery today... I bought some long-life gluten free pizza bases a while back from the supermarket, and picked them up today to have a look... it said on the back that they taste good by themselves (have herbs in them) and to just put them in the toaster and eat them. So I did! And they were SO GOOD! Lol ended up eating them instead of my curry, which I will make tomorrow.

Tomorrows food plan

Breakfast: Homemade ice-cream with banana, almond milk, Amazing grass choc powder, and topped with raw choc granola

Snack: Toasted pizza base (it was a 3 pack, thought I should use the last one!)

Lunch: Spirulina and cashew bar

Dinner: Kofta curry with chicken breast, lentils and cauliflower

Arrgh I'm so sleepy... woke up waaay too early... but too into my game to sleep...

I finished Revelations today...!! Tried to drag it out but really wanted to see how it ended lol. Love that game.

Ergh so I have a 5am start tomorrow... poos on that! Washing my uniform, then bedtime!! Food for tomorrow:

Breakfast: Slow cooker brown rice pudding (needed something I could eat without having to use the blender at 4am!)

Snack: Raw cacao bar

Lunch: Sunflower seed slices with vege spread

Snack: Coconut water

Dinner: Kofta curry with chicken breast, cauliflower and lentils

1 more perfect day to go till weigh in!!!!!!!!

lol, you finished it already! Damn!

Are you a trophy hound like my roommate? Will you be going back and getting every single trophy now in order to achieve Platinum?

My roommate does that with every game he gets from GameFly. Sometimes it drives him nuts because a few of the trophies are damn near impossible to get. hah, he'll sit there with his laptop propped on his lap screaming profanities some nights :)

Hope you had a good weigh in, Luz! :))
