Hopefully you get your water back sooner rather than later!
This wonderful town we live in is in a cyclone zone... I've read that on average this place gets between 4-6 severe cyclones a year (cyclone season is between Nov- March) and during the actual summer months we get one or two thunderstorms a week... plus flooding, severe humidity, and extreme heat. The houses up here are all built without gutters and with tin roofs too so the water just runs straight off during storms. OH, and because of where we live, most insurance companies won't give you contents insurance because it's a high risk zone... and any that do, charge you more than you can afford. Argh!

That sounds like a great, challenging program and one that will definitely get your foot in the door!
Haha I laughed so hard when you were talking about people willingly living so far away from everything! When I was a kid my grandparents lived out in the country in a place that was so rural that they didn't even have a regulated system like that, instead they were on well water that was pumped into the house by an electric pump... sooooo every winter when the power went out, which was often, and we were waiting for the power to be restored, which was long because being such a small town we were very little priority, we would have to walk out 10 acres to the well to get water! I thought my grandparents were nothing short of nuts for living there, but they loved it! Ahh, to each his own!
Hope they got it fixed, I'm cranky without a good shower in the morning!
I'm so NOT a country person. Actually no, scrap that... I don't mind being in the country, but not up here. It's not really a country town, it's a desert mining town. I grew up in a country town and I never had any problems with it, but it was waaaay down south where there was green, and cooller weather. It's November and for the past month it's been 35-40 degrees c every day... not even officially summer yet!
Can't imagine having to walk to a well to get water though... I'm pretty sure I'd die doing that in this climate! Mind you we can't even drink the water up here, have to buy it. It's treated bore water, and while it might be safe to drink, it tastes like chlorinated pool water. So much calcium in it too, the build up on our taps and shower heads up here is crazy! The water came on again about an hour later- just felt sorry for my husband trying to get ready for work.
I made an awesome food discovery today... I bought some long-life gluten free pizza bases a while back from the supermarket, and picked them up today to have a look... it said on the back that they taste good by themselves (have herbs in them) and to just put them in the toaster and eat them. So I did! And they were SO GOOD! Lol ended up eating them instead of my curry, which I will make tomorrow.
Tomorrows food plan
Breakfast: Homemade ice-cream with banana, almond milk, Amazing grass choc powder, and topped with raw choc granola
Snack: Toasted pizza base (it was a 3 pack, thought I should use the last one!)
Lunch: Spirulina and cashew bar
Dinner: Kofta curry with chicken breast, lentils and cauliflower
Arrgh I'm so sleepy... woke up waaay too early... but too into my game to sleep...
