?Need to be a Healthy Mommy?...

Okay... so here I find myself starting a weight-loss diary...
I just weighed myself like a minute ago... I weighed in at 146.9. Um that's not good when you're only 5'2". All my weight seems to be located on my face and my stomach. Yes, I'm a mother of 2. I have a 3 year old daughter who will turn 4 in January, and I have a 1 year old son who will turn 2 next month in August. I have nasty stretch marks on my stomach, booty, and thighs from my pregnancy weight gain. I was a size 3/4 before I was pregnant. So, my biggest problem with the whole weight loss, is that I EAT TOO MUCH! I am such a disgusting eater. I pig out on sweets all the time, I eat late, and I don't excersise. Okay, here's the deal, I have a zillion excuses why I don't workout... first and foremost, I AM LAZY! I own over 150 workout videos/dvds, I have a workout room in my house (treadmill, stationary bike, weights, etc.), and I even have a gym membership. I know, I'm ridiculous! I have it all in front of me and yet... NADA! I do absolutely nothing. Don't get me wrong, prior to my kiddos I was an excersise freak, I loved it, nothing could stop me... that is until I got knocked up. lol. I don't like veggies and I am OBSESSED WITH SODA! I can totally drink a six pack of Pepsi and loved every sip I take. I am a teacher, so in the morning, I see my fellow coworkers with coffee walking down the hall, and here I come with my crushed iced coke. aaawwwhh! Anyway, time to get serious. I am disgusted when I take pictures because I see some HUGE cheeks and a HUGE stomache. I am gonna get serious. I will take pics sometime this week and post them s you can be grossed out :(. Tata

So I didn't overeat or anything like that today... I wasn't active though. I "plan" to start working out on Monday. Why Monday? Well I am going outta town this weekend so I don't think I could go without eating out. So... tomorrow I will post some nasty bikini pictures of me (with my face blurred of course.) I hope not to scare too make people away. Hope everone is doing wonderful!

Hey welcome to the forum and congratulations for starting! Using your children as motivation should really help.

Wooah your own workout room! Wish I had one of them - go take full advantage. I'm sure if you loved it once, it will just take some getting used to again.
And with the veggies, I used to hate them when I was younger but now I loooove them! Maybe try some that you haven't before. You'd be surprised how many different types there are and maybe even grow to like some you hate. I know we hear this all the time but they really are so good for you and make will really help with your weightloss and how you feel inside!

Well, I started working out yesterday. I did 30 of my Taebo Live Adv. #1 video. Today I did the full 60 mins of that video. I LOVED it! I used to be a Taebo junkie and now I remember why. I plan on doing all my Advanced Taebo Lives. I have 12 so I will do #1 twice, then move on to #2 and do that two days in a row, then move on the #3 and so on. I also plan on doing a quick full body video each night. For example, tonight I also hope to do a 30 minute Kettlebell workout. I am still working on my diet but I am commited to not eat past 7:30 and if I must, I will eat a piece of fruit. I am really going to try and cut the soda out and drink for water... I will keep everything posted!
 
i just ate some watermelon... a good share of it too :(. I was hoping I wouldn't eat past 7:30. I'm just glad it was fruit rather than pizza or something greasy like that... peace!

Just stopping by to say hello! I am new here myself and I have a bit more to go than you lol- The pics are a bit small, but I could still see them. Just try to stay focused on your goal- This is my first week here (I lost weight back in 05) but this past year I became addicted to mostly ice cream sundaes.. so I can understand your sweet tooth!

I did a 24 minute Kettlebell workout at night... I am super soar already!

confuzzledwife: Thanks for stopping by! Ice cream is MY WEAKNESS! I can eat ice cream for breakfast... (actually I have numerous times.) Anyway, good luck with your goal. I will try to make the pictures bigger :).
 
I did 30 minutes of Taebo Advanced Live #1 this morning. I drank water the whole day and I ate pretty healthy... little by little I will be changing my ways. At this momement in my life, I am SO ready to change...
 
I just ate some watermelon right now, it was yummy! I'm still working on not eating late... I guess that will take a lil' getting used to.

Anyway, I just weighed myself and the scale says 143.3!!! Yeah, my goal is to be 140 or less by August 14. I have a strong feeling I might reach that goal!!! Yippy!

So, time to go workout... I am going to do the 24 minute Kettlebell workout again... Adios!
 
Hey Chula! This is my second day on the forum and so far im loving it! By the sounds of it, you seem to be well on your way to weight loss!!

It's always getting out of the "no exercising" rut thats the most difficult. As long as you keep the momentum going working out becomes a routine and you begin to do it without really having to talk yourself into it.

Great work on sticking to fruit and water!
 
Hi ,nightrunner! Welcome! Nice of you to stop by! Thanks for the encouragement :). I am doing good drinking water and choosing healthier snacks like fruits. As far as exercise, I am LOVING it!

So... As I was going to start my workout, I took a look at my treadmill all lonely in the corner of my workout room and decided to run instead of doing my kettlebell workout. I only ran for 1 mile because I was pressed for time. I ran it at 6 speed for 10 mins! I felt pretty good afterward!
 
My hubby convinced me to get up and do the 24 minute kettlebell workout. Man am I beat! It sounds like a short workout but it is so effective and you can feel the burn! Wow I love that feeling.

I am so drained now, I need to try and get some sleep. Today was a real emotional wreck for me, hope Thursday is better.

Okay, so I was really surprised this moring when I decided to try and do level 3 of "30 Day Shred." I couldn't do more than 10 minutes! Wow, I was really upset with myself. I am about to go try and complete it again right now. If I can't, I am going to do a Taebo video. Whatever I end up completing, I will come back and post about it.

Off to workout...
 
I just finished Level 3 of "30 Day Shred" and I feel GREAT!!! After that, I ran a mile :). I feel beat right now. I know it hasn't even been a week, but I feel and look different already! This is a real boost for my self esteem! Even my hubby comment today, he said, "Wow, you look good Chula! You must be hitting it hard huh?" and I said, "yes, I am being consistent with my workouts and I am not eating like a pig anymore." Just the fact that he notices a change, really makes me feel proud of myself. I will take some pics and post them again. :) This weekend is going to be a test because I am going to a party and so I hope I can control my eating :(. I will try my best because I don't want to jeopardize what I have been doing all this week. I will keep posted using my Blackberry to keep my diary updated!
