Maria, I am so proud of you, i wish I had your energy, this is my 1st kid and she is kicking my booty but I am getting better at making her sleep so she can give me some time to spare; the thing is that I also study but I will start my workout definitely today :smash:

I just realized we both live in Chicago, what a coincidence. The weather is so fold here, I laugh when my family in Peru tells me to go for a walk with baby hehe. I live 20 to downtown close to o'hare, who know maybe we could hang together someday.

I just did Turbo Jam and now I am so hurt, I realized I am totally out of shape :blush5: I was struggling to keep up with charlene, and I only did the 20min, after it I did Zumba just 10min, my daughter was watching me the whole time and then she got sick or exhausted ;) the thing is that now she is sleeping nice and calm, hehe I am planning to do this everyday now ;)

I haven't eaten yet but I will soon, hope to control my calories today, yesterday, not so proud about it, let's rock today :hurray:

Hi Chari -

Oh yes, this weather stinks! We're supposed to get another snow storm tonight. I'm in Westchester :) I can't wait till the weather breaks and we can take our kids out for walk.

I did great yesterday with food (calories), water & exercise. I didn't get a chance to post my menu from yesterday, I was just too swammped with work this morning. Anyhoo... I didn't have such a good day today. I did good in the morning... I had yogurt for breakfast and an egg for a snack, a Lean Cuisne for lunch and about 6 or 7 pieces of left over halloween candy! Something came over me and I couldn't stop. I also ate 2 pieces of chocolate cake. Dinner wasn't too good either. My mom-in-law made homeade beef, so we had beef sandwiches for dinner AND she made sauce with fish (MY FAVORITE), so I cooked some spaghetti and poured the sauce on top of it and ate that too! They live down the street and they bring over food all the time.

I did exercise. I did Turbo Jams again. I stepped it up and worked at a high intesnsity tonite. I did a 40 min workout. You're right, she kicks my butt. My cardio kickboxing classes start up again next week - yay! So, I'll be working out at home 2 days a week and doing classes 3 days a week. I tell you, Chari I feel so much better when I exercise. So full of life. What do you think of Turbo Jams? Do you like it? I've only been doing them for about 2 1/2 weeks now and I love them! I'm doing the DVD's because where I take my classes during the week closed down for 3 weeks because of the holidays.

Don't give up girl. Don't let my bad habits of eating chocolate bring you down with me. Hope you have a good night. I'll touch base with you in the morning.

Hey Catsmommy :)

Today my calorie intake went over the board :banghead: I was doing so good until night when I fell of the wagon :( buuuh
But at least today I did turbo jam :) I am proud of it :) hehe, I had this video for almost a year but I never really stick to the program :( but hearing you talking so good about it made me feel like giving it another try and it was good, not my favorite though, I looove Zumba, just dancing :) feels like a party and not like a workout

Well, hopefully we will have a great day tomorrow, and no, I am not giving up, you know there are good days but also bad ones, so let's just try to reduce the bad ones to 0 ;)

Hi Guys!
Been a few days since last post, but I have been staying pretty well on track. Knowing that you folks are hear to lend an ear definetly helps. :bigear: Thursday I did Tae Bo and shovelled snow. I also braved the cold and walked my son to the bus stop (-13 with at least a foot of snow on the road). Friday I shovelled a bit more snow. Today I have already done Tae Bo and managed to get my 4yr old out snowshoeing for a 1/2hr. If the weather is good tomorrow we are still planning on skating. I also have made a "date" with my dad to go skiing Tues and Friday morning next week, as well I have the Romp to Stomp out breast cancer 3km on Saturday. I feel great. Much better now that I am getting active again. I have lost 5lbs since Wednesday. It sure does pay to eat properly and get active.:party:

Still debating about picking up Turbo Jam. If you guys are seeing results already, I am very much inclined to give it a try.

Hang in there. I'm not having a great day - too many temptations. I do have a date to ski with my dad tomorrow, so I will make it a good workout. It's nice that my hubby has a few days off during the week, that I can get out a doing my own thing. I don't remember having this opportunity with my first child. I got looking back at my food/exercise diary that I keep at home. I have lost 3lbs since meeting you guys, down a total of 5lbs since Jan 1st. Not bad. I have stalled this weekend at 205 though. I must learn to be patient with my weight, and not get frustrated.

finding the time

I think I can deal with eating a well balanced meals, its just finding the time to workout. I work a full time job from 7am till 4pm @ PWHC as a senior Financial analysis and have 2 children to take care of. O yea, I also am taking 2 classes and studying to get my CPA on Tuesday and Thursday nights. So, any ladies have any advice? I can get a baby sitter on Monday and Wednesday. I just need some motivation also..

Hi Ladies!

Glad to see everyone is doing great! I'm trying to keep on track as well. I've only lost a total of 5 pounds in 3 1/2 months so far. My metabolism went downhill after I turned 30! The weight just doesn't seem to be coming off as quickly as it used to!

I had a good calorie day yesterday - I stayed under 1,300 AND my exercise classes started up again after the long holiday break. It felt good to get out of the house and exercise. It's one thing to exercise in your house but the motivation is so different when there is someone guiding you the whole way and pushing that next lundge or squat you thought you couldn't do. I work out at home but not as hard as I do with the instructor. She really knows how to kick my as@!!

2phat4fun - that's amazing news about your weightloss!

TonyaGray - Welcome! Wow, you have a lot going on. I'm in the same boat - I work full time as an analyst as well, I have 2 children a dog and a house to run! My hubby and I started our own business about 1 year ago so on top of everything else, we have that going on. Somehow, I manage to get about 1 hour of "me time" a day. Sometimes it's not till late at night or super early in the morning. Hopefully we can all motivate each other on this forum.

Yesterday I had a good day On Plan :) finally after 3 days of being a pac man :(
I haven't weight myself but last time I was 158Lbs so that is going to be my starting point if I haven't gone up on the 3 crazy days :(, or maybe I should weight myself daily?
After posting on Tammy's thread I followed my own advice hehe :) and tried to have a good day yesterday, at the end I did my 40min workout and stayed On Plan.

I am not working right now but I have to study like crazy if I want to take my board exams in April. Between my daughter, trying to lose weight and study my days go with me exhausted, specially if I work out.

Seing you girls succeeding on this and getting good results is like feed for my willpower, thanks for being here.

I'd like to join you in this weight loss if that is ok?

I live in Leeds in the UK and am mummy to two boys. My eldest is Daniel who is 2 and a half years and my youngest Joshua is just 1 week old today! I had a c-section with both my boys so until I have had my post natal check up no real exercising for me. But I am getting out and about so can at least do walking.

I haven't started my diet yet. Payday is tomorrow and am then going to go shopping on Friday to stock up on healthy foods so my diet will be starting this coming Saturday. I'm looking forward to taking control and finally doing something about my weight.

I'm ashamed to say that I am around 250lbs :blush5: only around 7lb of that is from my pregnancy, I guess that I am lucky that I dont put on too much weight during pregnancy.

My partner Dave is wanting to lose weight and get healthy too so its a definite help to have him on board with me.

Chicas, I feel good :) the reason? These past 2 days I have been kind of On Plan, I mean I haven't really watch every calorie with my calculator on hand but I am pretty sure I didn't go over the board which is 1200cal for me.
Today I weighed myself and I am 156Lbs, I was in shock :smilielol5: couldn't believe that I am losing some pounds specially when I haven't been 100% faithful to my weightloss plan but after cheating myself last week I said that I will only give myself a challenge everyday, these last 2 days I did my workout 30min e/d and I felt sooo good after doing it so that's gonna be my challenge today also: workout 30min.

Maria, J, TonyaGray, I hope you girls are doing great :waving: let me know about your days please.

Hi Everyone! It's been a few days since I've posted. I've been swamped at work and have had little free time to roam the internet :)

Chari - Sounds like you're doing fantastic! That negative foods list is amazing. I usually do my grocery shopping on Sunday's so I'll be sure to pick up quite a few items on that list.

I'm very discouraged. I eat well, I stay under 1,300 calories a day, I exercise 6 days a week and the scale STILL won't budge. I lost 1 pound two weeks ago and I was super excited... now the scale says I put that 1 pound back on. So, I'm back to needing to lose 11 pounds instead of 10 pounds. I'm so frustrated. I have a business trip coming up and I have nothing to wear. Nothing fits me. The thought about going to the store and buying bigger sized clothes makes me sick! I hope I'm not getting everyone down today, but I'm just beside myself at this point. Any suggestions??

Hi, I'm Bea, I'm from El Salvador, so my english is not perfect.
I've been overweight all my life, I have 2 boys, the oldest is 7 years old, and the youngest is 8 months.
Before I got pregnant the first time I was 175 and lost 35 pounds during the pregnancy, the second time I was 135, I was very happy since is the lowest weight I've been since I can remember. Now I weight 152, I have lost around 13 pounds since the birth; I work, so i don't have time to go to the gym, I try to walk in my house o make some pilates, I have the 10 minutes solution pilates, and it's ok.
I know what you feel, it's so frustraiting when nothing fits. I'm beginning to fit in my clothes, buy if you buy new clohtes you'll get confortable in those so it'll be harder to loose the weight, buy if you feel tight, you will remember to eat well.-

I had an ok last 2 days, got a baby sitter and have been a little bit busy showing her everything and teaching her how to do things, but at least I will have extra time to study and also workout ;) she is young and also wants to lose some pounds but very few, I am so jealous :) jeje

Girls, a great trick? these days when I am hungry I go to the fruits, oranges are my favorite and apples a plus for my chronic constipation :) jeje, well it also wash out our intestines so, we can't miss apples in our daily meal plan.
Haven't workout since wednesday but will start from monday again and this time with company :)

I've stalled and am annoyed!!! I skied all morning last Tues, snowshoed 3km on Saturday, went skating Sunday and there has been no budge on the scale. AHHHH! To top it off, my little one was up every hour last night. Honestly it started at midnight, then 1,2,3, etc etc. I'm beat today. I still keep watching all the infomercials for Turbo Jam. May break down and order it today. The only thing holding me back is the $$$$, and the fact that I'm on maturnity leave. Funds are precious. However, I do want to look good on the beach this summer and one of my cousins is getting married. I tired of being the "fat one". Not that they ever call me that, but it is noticeable. Out of all the cousins there are 3 of us girls. Myself (5'2" 205lbs), my sister (5'0" 125lbs) and my cousin (almost 6' tall and slim). You tell me who sticks out in that group like a sore thumb!:cuss:

How is the progress with the Turbo Jams - any results???
