I'm so sorry you've been frustrated lately. It's difficult for all of us who have "issues with food" to get our heads straight about the stuff--that food is fuel to help us do what we want with our bodies. As for your walks, I don't think you should give them up entirely. Even if your heart rate isn't going up, you're still using calories when you make yourself move. It may not be "enough" anymore--you may want to add things like dancing and such--but I wouldn't give up on an activity that's done you so much good.

Remember, you can do this, and we're all here for you!

No Sophie I am not cutting out my walks... you are right there, I just need to add to it ..so I am going to add dance aerobics.. for now I am going to try to do it for thirty minutes ..but the site said to lose your breath pretty much for forty minutes ..but I have to build up to it and I have to make sure I make big moves .. u know ..the bigger the better ...my heart will be really pumping and I like to keep my hand and arms over my head continually moving ...

So I am going to try jogging in the house once my parents have left ..that should be good ...

I am Happy to say I am feeling better!! I feel a lot better .. I have been doing good today... not eating my third meal until four pm ... and inbetween I might have an orange .. I dont know ..we have lots of juicy oranges and they are good .. u know

so thats about it ..and than I eat supper later
and than I am done for the day after supper ..good stuff

I plan to do dance aerobics today ..should be nice ..the parents will be out hiking and I will clean the livingroom again and dance aerobics all the way

I know I haven't posted in here before, but I have been reading your journal, and it's exciting to see all of the wonderful progress you've been making :) I'm not trying to lose weight at the moment (and honestly don't need to lose weight), but regardless of that, I think you should know that you're a very inspiring women! As long as you keep up the hard work, you WILL reach your goals. It will be an awesome feeling that I am excited for you to experience! :)

Well I haven't danced for a while!! lmao ..not like this .. I only last ten minutes ... but I am sweating horribly ... I have to go take a shower ... because my face stings ...where the proverbial zit is!! lmao so I need use neutrogena on that .. I dont want it to get worse its going away right now!! lol

I can't beleive you never thought of yourself as inspiring. You really are. I have been really interested in what you have to say over the last two days since I joined! You seem to have such a good perspective on stuff, even when you face tough stuff. I have to say reading about your progress is totall inspiring to me!

Nope..Brenna... I have never thought myself inspiring... I have thought other people inspiring .. I am hoping I can figure out to eat completely .. I now know I have to eat four small meals a day because I have diabeties ..thats what the book says and the About.com said for my Metabolic Syndrome .. u know ..

now I just need to hit the pilates, which I am definitely doing tomorrow...
Today dancing was not as good as the pilates would have worked me out .. I did sweat it up, but I couldnt raise my heart rate that high, which sucked ..even jumping up and down really high I couldnt get it up .. I think I may go ahead and go up and down the first three steps forward and backwards ..slowly at first and if I can make it quicker I will ..that should help a little .. I was able to climb mtn blue after doing the stairs ..so that was good ..because it had to do with constantly moving higher ..u know ..so I practiced and was able to do that .. I am going hiking at the end of April .. I think I will be able to do it ... if I do the stairs and the pilates ..

Well I did good with food today. I will try not to weigh myself tomorrow. BUT If I do it will give me an idea what I should be eating through out the day, and know whether I ate something too much for a meal, its gonna be hard figuring out what to eat for these four mails lol

but I shall get it down. lol

Thanks Heather, I just know I need to do this the healthy way. And my impulse for what I wanted to do, was not the right way to do this or lose weight. I need to just eat right, which I am figuring out and realize how important it is. AND I have to exercise. Going for my forty minute walk tomorrow at eleven am and than tomorrow later I want to be motivated to do my pilates. My mom and Herb wont be home later in the day, so I will have the livingroom all to myself, so I will be able to do my pilates,
I hope I can make it through the whole thing, u know... it was painful doing it at first and after five to seven minutes I quit, but tomorrow I am just going to do the best I can, and try to get further into the work out and just keep going everyday.

Yea forty pounds is only the beginning lmao now I have 75 more pounds to go and I will start toning soon, but not until I lose a little more weight, than I will do it..

Just because the number on the scale might be higher one day than it was the day before doesn't necessarily mean you've gained weight. It could mean so many different things. I weigh myself every day, but I average the weights for the entire week. I then compare the averages each week to determine whether I've lost or not. This really helped me not get upset about daily changes in the scale. It could be helpful for you. :)

Hey gymchica!!~ Thanks so much for your advice. I kind of do that now, but I just let the scale get me again lol I sometimes do that. BUT i need to not make myself a slave to the scale. And it is hard once in a while. BUT My official weigh in is Monday, so I am looking forward to seeing what I am by the end of the week. I think it was water weight, because I had eaten a ton of pretzels the night before, but now I am drinking all water and I am down to 274.0, so much have been water being retained. I am happy that I have seen what I saw today, but my official weigh in is Monday and I am not going to take it too seriously until I reach weigh in day. I just figure to move my ticker by whether I am a certain weight for a certain period of time, I wait two weeks till I move my ticker down. So I like to keep tabs to see whether I am really down a pound or few oz.

:cheers2:Well I have already walking twenty minutes, didn't really run out of breath, but thats ok, at least I got out.

Later I am doing my pilates work out, its cardio and about twenty minutes long, or actually it is twenty minutes long. So I will be doing that today, after my parents leave to go on their hikes.

I did weigh myself and it did say 274.0, but I am not going to get psyched yet. I am waiting to see what My Monday morning weigh in says on the April two pounds a week challenge. It should be a good weigh in. The dancing really helped, so the pilates kind of is like dancing in this dvd ..so I will have fun, but it will hurt a lot!! Last time I tried to do it.. I was in so much pain and could barely hold the pose lol

but I am going to try and get through the whole dvd ..

Hello Everyone,
Well today has been a good day so far. I got out to Walmart and we sped walk through Walmart ... I had fun just getting out. I havent had a car for four to five years and walking is my only way out, other than bike riding. And during the summer I go swimming and hiking with my mother and my step mother, but now I will have Peter to be with. Its only raining in the morning on Saturday, so we are definitely going to the beach and I am going to watch THE WHOLE beach and walk across and through the rocks and I will climb the rocks and boulders to the pier .. they have one pier on the beach and it will be far away from where we park ..we are going to have so much fun!!

That will be exercise in itself...
yea!! Going to the beach, the first time of the season. Looking forward to it!:hurray:

newbride02 wouldnt it be neat if we could all get together at a convention, but there has got to be so many members, that would be mayham lol but fun! lol

Well this Saturday is going to be romantic and totally cool .. I can't wait .. well I can, but it is going to be so much fun!! And he will be coming up two weeks after Saturday and we will be hiking up mtn. blue.. so I have to make sure I walk almost if not all of everyday and keep my legs in shape for the hike.. but right now I am going to go dance some and see how long I can go for this time lol and hopefully lose breathe this time .. I think thats what brought me down one pound ..goody me!!:hurray:

I havent danced ..but I have been making mad dashes up and down the stairs to prepare for my hike in a week and a half ...it should be good ...

I have done this before and seem to make hiking easy by running up and down the stairs.. I am also walking up with my legs apart and putting pressure on my legs to make it more difficult ..

I am using the stairs for an aerobic exercise, but i have to run up it, or make it slower and harder going up ... its so good ..we have steep stairs and long stairs ..but they have plenty of room for you to step ..perfect

tomorrow I am taking a new forty five minute walk ..brand new route folks.. going in the opposite direction ..should be fun! I so look forward to it .. I am going to jett out in the morning around ten am to do this walk ...and it might actually take an hour because it has so many hills and its a longer distance than my other walk ..even though I love my usual walk ..but as the sticky thread that I read ...dont make a routine ..so no more routine ..going to walk my butt off tomorrow and do my best with all the hills ..my butt, back and body is going to hurt after this walk tomorrow lol forty five minutes to an hour sounds good to me and the last hill is killer ..straight up ..steady ..even cars have a hard time getting up it lol

so a real work out tomorrow morning .. I will be sweating it up.. I started sweating today on my walk, but it was only twenty minutes, but tomorrow I plan to bring it all in and work my butt off .. :hurray::hurray::hurray:
