You've probably already answered this question, but have you found walking around your neighborhood rewarding? I'm still slightly too intimidated to start walking around my association. Especially since I see all the thinner and older people running around like it's a piece of cake.

I'm a book worm too. I bought my second bookcase a year ago and its already overflowing. My sister is the same as me and our mother can't understand why we would want to buy books that we can get in a library or why we would read a book more than once! I love second hand book stores, but theres nothing quite like a brand-spanking-new crisp clean book. I go through 'author phases', for example, I bought all of the Anne Rice books, then all of the Robin Hobb books, PD James, I'm on a Dean Koontz phase right now. Then theres 'genre phases' when I'll go in to a second hand store and buy all the horrors I can afford, then all the thrillers, biographies..... :drooling:

I had all of the Anne Rice books too, and than they got tossed .. I spent over one hundred dollars for good copies, special copies. It sucks when they get tossed when people are cleaning ..especially when you put so much into your books ... lol

I sound wierd lol I love my books ... :)

I am starting a new book about all these gods ...and their children ...demi gods ..and what not ...

and Earthlings ...and than an evil a foot in a far off land ... kind of sounds similar to JRR Tokien about the evil ..but the gods are totally different ..its a kick ..

Our bookcases and wall units are jampacked with books as are some of our dresser drawers ^-^' Nothign wrong with a few hundred good books.

Jennylee have you read, Fear nothing? yes. favorite Dean koontz book ever.

It depends on what time of night it is .. I don't like to read before bed, because than I can't sleep ... because everything new keeps circulating in my brain and I keep thinking of the book and what the pages had on them ...lol and what it all meant ..

you know what I mean?

I actually have three book cases ..just haven't put together the new one ...which will be filled with the stacks that are flowing from the other book shelf ..lol

ITs very rewarding ..it feels awesome! I feel so strong ..right now... I am the only person walking lmao ..and usually during summer I am the only person walking ..they are all laze around here.. I am the one trying to be fit ...lol
I don't care what they say ..
and during the spring and summer .. I use headphones with my disc player ... so I don't care .. I just have to make sure when I am bopping along that I watch the road, because I get so busy singing to the music .. I have almost gotten run over ..lol

its amazing how much we can use our houses to excercise! we don't need anything to lose weight just the mindset! keep me updated on the running and the progress!

i want snow!!! actually we are slowly moving into spring. it was warm today but windy! so i think i want the summer more then snow now.

Lucky!!! Spring ..we have one more month of heavy snow ..and than it melts with rain in April ..lovely really lmao ..at least it will warm up lmao

Hey everyone,
I am doing better with my food ..read the rest of the first phase in the food addiction book .. I like brush my teeth all day to stay away from food ..its one of the ways you can do it ..to keep from eating before you are trully hungry ...

its working .. I am getting the hang of it slowly ...
still a bad eater, but I am cutting myself a break, seeing as I have been a speed, bloated, stuffy eater all my life ...

and I haven't walked for three days ..not good ..but tomorrow is all sunshine!!

It's interesting, I have heard a few people talk about a food addiction book. I'm a ravenous reader and definitely interested - what does it have to say? I probably deal with more of a distorted eating than an eating addiction, but the distorted eating also includes serious binge time periods where I eat fast food daily and order out every other night. So I suppose that one of my two ends of the spectrum when it comes to eating is probably a bit of a food addiction. Dunno, I'm just interested to figure out the root of my food issues to find out how to fix them. Who knows if it can be done!

Actually its is a food addiction... when you go eating for a long time and than all of a sudden binge is apart of the food addiction . .. Thats what I used to do ..than it became serious and my stomach wouldn't let me eat. It hurt to eat too much. I couldn't eat at all ..and thats when things went really downhill ..
I ended up in the hospital with a major problem ..where I could have died that night ..after that night I realized what I was doing to myself. I was setting myself up for death ... and that was the worst part ..it started when I was 16- 18 ...and I did this one when I was 23 .. now I am a binger ...but I haven't binged for a couple days ..pretty good .. I have been eating ... I have been eating the way I should .. I am down to 279.6 .. tomorrow is weight in .. I hope I weigh 279 again .. Ive worked hard to be under 280 pounds ...

but anyway I can send you the name and author of the book ..ok
and I can tell you what it says, but lemme get the book in front of me and I will take quotes and post them in my journal .. ok hun

Well its happening the 14th of March ..so far .. two weeks ..you never know ..it might not happen .. I live in reality ..lost my hope a long time ago .. I am awful ..the last ..all the relationship I have had, have burned me bad ..so I have a hard time trusting what a man says, even when he says he wants a date with me ..usually I mess up with words ..to build a wall ..and than I lose a date with a great guy ..so ..bummer ...but I will keep you updated ..

he is very hot and I like him tons ... I am hoping this doesn't end badly ..or start badly ..

Size 24 is getting too big!! Lost to 279.6!!

I am in the 270s today ... I am doing this and it feels exciting ..must be all the aerobics .. I am just so excited about this guy (which is bad) but I have been jumping all over the house, sweating it up, heart beating, pounding to good music off the radio ...but I have finally reached almost my second goal or third goal actually ...275 ..is my next goal by May ..if I keep it up .. I may reach it before May ..wouldn't that be sweet ..but I am trying to stay realistic ..this is Winter ..sometimes its hard to get out there ..but I have picked up the inside work

Lovin the 270s already!! and Lovin my body again!! I look so good for once!! My stomach is so much smaller, my ass is smaller ..everything is getting smaller ..and my jeans are getting WAYYYY to big ..always a lovely occurrence to happen!!

Congrats on the loss!! Wooohooo!! :party: Stay positive, you're doing great and you deserve to be happy, just give yourself a chance. It's great that you're exited about your date, you've got nothing to lose from it. If you have a good time, thats fantastic, if you don't, at least you gave it a go. Be open and honest and you'll be fine.
