Natalie- thats really cool that you get along so well with your stepsister. MY stepsister actually friggin made out with my last boyfriend... Oh, I was pissed. So, he was a goner, and she and I don't really talk other than family functions now... hm. lol... ANyways, congrats on the two pounds!! Thats awesome. I think that, uh, I mighta gained two pounds last week, :rolleyes: . Help me!! I'm so jealous of the resolve you have to do this.. give me some tips hun!

I actually ate horribly today Jess, so those two pounds I lost.. I am probably going to gain back! :smilielol5: BUT I went walking after a while. Realized I can't let this go, can't let a little slip up or EVEN big one take me down for the count. So I walked ... :driving:

I can't believe your step-sister did that .. I would trust her till the end of time...never ...

That's awesome Natalie Jo!!! Walking in black ice and working up a sweat for 32 minutes!!!!!!! That is fantastic.

You know, I haven't put a number on how much I need to lose, but I have instead based my journey on fitting into a certain pair of jeans in my wardrobe. They are hot, and I don't think I could get them over a knee at the minute, so they are my motivation. I haven't put a number on my weight loss goal because I am bad at numbers and from that I mean I would get depressed if I didn't get to that number, so the jeans, well they are here, and I know they are bloody small (well, alot smaller than me) so if I can fit them , I mean WHEN I can fit them, well, that will be awesome.

I too am not close to my family - am not well liked. It is sad for me around christmas. My brother lives within walking distance from me but we don't see each other. My family really consists of friends who have become like family. But this time of year is always tough for me. Since I was 13 I spent christmas with other peoples families, and as soon as I was working and financially independent, I used to spend christmas somewhere new and travelled, always on my own. Only when I met my husband who is extremely close to his family, did I start spending christmas with his family. That has been a very difficult adjustment for me as when you are not used to a 'family christmas' you can feel very stressed and out of place. I still suffer from panic attacks about it, but just have to breathe, and get on with it.

So I am still smiling after making some major slip ups ... I probably have gained those two pounds back ... I decided to go for a walk and reward myself with some Tazo tea I bought from Starbucks ...:driving: thats probably the best thing to reward myself with ...a tea bag ...water and one packet of pink sweet n low ...lol

"Today, Today.. What is with Today?!" lol

So Hello everyone,
I love hearing from all of you ...
all of you get me moving ... thanks everyone for stopping in and writing ...

You hold me accountable, and thats important...

so I slipped I ate things I shouldn't have and some of that was seven pieces of Godiva chocolate, icks ..
BUT I was depressed at first ... thought ...there is no hope ...
and than I decided I was going to go for a walk! :coolgleamA:
AND I DID! I went for a 37 minute walk, not so brisk, but did sweat it up... had to take my winter hat off and drank tons of water a long my way ... I must look like a nut ...walking in winter ...jacket, boots ... my socks kept coming down ...and off ...so I had to stop three times to take off my boot a little and pull my socks back up .. I am going to buy some winter anklet socks today .. I am wearing my summer socks, probably not the best idea! lol
so I don't have to stop again, the thicker socks are going to be an expenditure tonight ..and I am buying my wonderful niece a gift or two tonight ... along with some special stuff for the bathroom ... I am really happy I went for that walk ..even though I was down and out ..even though I may gain the two pounds back ..its not going to stop me from trying to learn how to control my diet ...and learn how to walk everyday ..irregardless of what happens!

Ok, so SunnyDee, the socks didn't happen! My debit card didn't work for it. I only could buy two things ...so thus ...

it stunk lol
but I will go tomorrow .. I think the deposit went in today and it won't let me use the card ... oh welll ...such is life

I always think that I have two ways to make a day a good weight loss day.

The first is by being food with my food.
The second is by doing a long walk.

No matter how bad I am with my food - I never think of it as having been a bad day if I have been good with my walk. Obviously if I am good with both I get very pleased with myself - since this is obviously best.

It is great that you have such a nice step-family. We all enjoy loving others and being loved. Families come in all sorts of shapes and sizes - the important thing is not the traditional relationship titles - but the fact that people love and care for each other.

Well I didnt go for the walk ..but might go for a thirty minute walk later ..

I only have eaten one meal today
Bagel with Cranberry Orange Cream Cheese
two pieces of cheese with wheat crackers. And two Hazelnut Wafers. Thats it .. I did have some juice, but very watered down and than when I was drinking half, put more water in ...

Saturday my sister and I are hoping to go ice skating ...which should be really tuff on my calves and legs ...and than we plan to go to karaoke to sing ... I shall have fun on Saturday .. I will report about it on Sunday morning ...but I will be back later to report on whether I went for a walk today .. I think I am going to go for one tonight
I know that I shouldn't ...but night walking is ...better than nothing .. I will just stay as much as I can on the lit roads ..

I take a multivitamin that includes zinc (which I understand is good for the skin) plus omega 3 and starflower oil.

I addition my skin benefits because I drink my water (2 litres). Do you manage to get through 2 litres or 64 fl ounces of water?

I hope that you get out for your walk. I have done over 12 miles now today (a real glutton for punishment).

Er...not that we have ever gone to karaoke together! LOL Wish I could join you! DH is revamping our MySpace page with some of our music on it. If you ever want to have a listen, you can find us at Skyrocket99 on MySpace. I never go there, so I confess I don't even know what state it is in ! LOL

Good on ya for your walking, and the skating definitely gives a great workout...

The cream is a little confusing, because it is to help the skin kind of like bring repair in a way and bring elasticity back into the skin ...

but ...when is the best time to put it on?

Instead of Skating we are going to the movies ... The reason is because ...not enough time ...but we are still going to karaoke ...

My grandmother ...for some strange and wierd reason ...wants to really take Joanna out for dinner, but that probably is because she travels the world and makes millions of dollars, just a guess ...
She is stuck with me, because Joanna won't go unless I am there! lmao
So I get a free lunch ...always nice! :smilielol5:

But I have to put up with the pretentious grandmother ...who really doesn't want to have anything to do with the black sheep of the family! lol

You have never skated! Wow, girly! You have never skiied either, thats a huge sport around here ... lol

Thats the big ta do ...around NH Maine and MASS and Vermont ... lol

thats because we are in the mountains and get so much snow ...probably ...

anyway ... well I used to go skiing at 275 ... its a work out ..so is skating ...skating kills your lower part of your legs ...the calves ..etc ...your shin bone ...if you are not used to it ...they are both hard and you need to take lessons for them to get going .. I am surprised they don't have an indoor rink at your state ...

I guess one has to go to different states to get different sports ..hmm

That way I have got any sweaty exercise well out of the way and also any subsequent bathing done. I kind of take the attitude that the longer it gets to soak into the skin the better.
