Thank you for your time! I truly do appreciate it. I started out at 250 lbs and am now at 160. I am hoping to lose another 30 lbs; however, I am wondering if this is enough? Should I lose more or less?

I look forward to hearing from you :)

If you want to add me as a friend, I could really use your support during my weight loss journey!

I have posted another thread with pictures of me in my bikini and a thread with me just before and after running in just my sports bra and shorts for the first time ever! I would really appreciate it if everyone could take a look at those threads too! You've all been very supportive and I know with your help I'll be able to reach my weight loss goal!

Hey Stefani,

Looking great! Doesn´t look like you have much more to lose. Going from 250 to 160lbs must have been a real challenge. Well done that girl!

Good luck with the continuing weight loss!

How tall are you? I'm 5'6 and I want to loose around 35 more...I think... however I have never been below 138lbs in my adult life. I remember having about 10 extra lbs to loose when I was 138,but my body image was really messed up then.

I'm not sure if you need to loose another 30 lbs. It's hard to say. I'd work on trying to tone up now and not so much focus on weightloss. More like just tighting everything. You look really good to me. Hot even lol Do you have any before photos? I'd love to see how far you've come.

Good Luck to you.

I'm about 5'9'', maybe a little taller. Wow, 138 is so tiny! I only wish I was there haha.

I know I need to lose some more weight, because I am currently lifting every other day, focusing on my back, shoulders, chest, legs, biceps and triceps, so I do currently have a good deal of muscle underneath my remaining weight. It just seems like no matter what I do my tummy doesn't get any smaller than it is at this point. I mean it's a far cry from what I was, but I'm still disappointed that I can't get to where I want to be. I've been struggling with my self-confidence and body image for a while now, and would really like to finally feel happy with how I look.

And thank you for the compliment! It really means a lot to me. To be honest, I've gotten rid of all the old photos of me lol they made me feel horrible! I really want to forget about where I've come from and focus on where I'm going with my weight loss. I'm sorry I don't have any to show you! I feel bad now that I didn't keep any.

I am proud of how far I've come, but I still feel like I have so far to go and I continue to have days where I don't stick to my diet :/ Some days I just really want a brownie sundae or a bag of reese's peanut butter cups. Other days I just feel so down I can't get to the gym. It's really been a struggle, and I appreciate your support. It helps me to feel like I'm not alone in my struggle and that there are other people out there who understand what I'm going through.

Good luck to you too!

hey from Texas

Stefani , you look great and congrats on your weight loss. At what weight would you feel good? I am currently 138 and struggling to lose weight.

Oh no, all I was saying is make yourself happy. I was always worrying about looking like women in magazines, thenI realized I am 5"4 and these women are models ! I have to be my best self. Hope I didnt offend you , I did not mean to at all.

No, you didn't offend me, I was just confused as to what you meant. I thought that you meant that you were still struggling with being happy with your weight at the moment when you already weigh so little haha. Therefore, I thought that you were getting at the point that no matter how much weight I lose I will never be happy with the results.

I'm 5'9'', maybe slightly taller, and I weigh 160 at the moment, which is great in comparison to what I was at 250; however, I still can't wear what I want, or look good in a bikini. I'm not sure how much weight left I need to lose in order to do that, but I'm dying to get into one this summer! I think once I can pull off wearing a tight t-shirt or a bikini I'll finally be able to be confident in my appearance.

I joined this site to get feedback because I'm constantly told that I have a distorted self body image, and was curious how much weight I have left to lose according to other people rather than according to myself. Personally I think that I have at least 30 more pounds to lose, if not slightly more, before I look as good as I would like.

You look great! You lost 90lbs, very impressive. How long did it take for you to lose the weight?

Thank you for the compliment! I really appreciate it :) Everyone has been so nice here and really supportive!

It took me almost four years to get where I am at now, so I lost approximately two pounds per month.

I started losing weight when I was a sophomore in high school, after I joined the swim team. To be honest that was such a scary decision! Let me tell you, I got many stares in my years on the swim, as well as many negative comments! That is particularly why I have such a fear of a bikini! I'm dying to get into one this summer, but I don't want to be ridiculed when I go out to the beach.

My self esteem really couldn't take any more beatings haha. I'm extremely sensitive and I've had a really tough journey to get this far.

I think you look great and you've worked so hard. In my opinion, I say screw it and wear the bikini. Don't worry so much about what people said in the past :)

I would say lose 10-15 lbs more and then focus on toning up. Losing 30lbs more seems way too much. You're already so thin; it's really just a small tummy that you have, but that's it. And I personally find tummies cute! lol So you look great to me. I'd love your body and I'd date you (bisexual here, lol) in a second!

Anyway, at the moment if I had your body I'd be on cloud 9 and probably walking everywhere in a damn bikini. :coolgleamA:

I agree with everyone else that you look great just the way you are but I understand wanting to keep going. Your BMI is very close to mine and I'm only a couple pounds away from my goal weight. I will never wear a bikkini because of my stretch marks and I'm so shocked you were heavier than me at your highest (mine was 224) but you don't look like you have a single mark on your belly. I blame it on not trying to lose weight till all the damage had been done and I was older. I think because you decided at a young age to start getting healthy you made the best decision of your life! I totally understand the hard battle and hard work you put into it and you should be really proud. I also understand the skewed body imagine thing. People tell me I look great just the way I am and I'm starting to believe them but it takes time. I saw some girls this weekend that looked too skinny and my hunnie kept saying don't lose more weight - sure I might not look amazing in a bathing suit but I'm happy the way I look with clothes on and I never want to be one of those girls people say are too skinny - it's not healthy looking and guys really aren't attracted to them. Keep it up and whatever you decide will be the right thing.

lol I'll try to work up the confidence to wear that bikini proudly! Everyone has been so supportive and it feels great to have a group of people behind me :)

Going by what you and other people have said on this forum 10-15 pounds seems to be the consensus. I do have a tummy, but I also have thighs that touch lol and it really bothers me, especially in this hot weather, and when I run I chafe :(

That's so awesome that you think tummies are cute! I wish our entire society thought like you! Your post really put a smile on my face! Thank you :) You're the best!
