My slimming journey

Mands, wow! So much going on! Very glad to hear that your back is feeling better. Take really good care of it; as you know we only get one. I messed mine up when I was young, but was lucky enough to recover to 90%. As far as your competitor and the banks.... UGH! Hang in there! It must be hard to focus on good health during this, but stay strong.

Great job on the loss! You're so close to hitting your min-goal!!! Keep it up.

Good job on sticking with the plan despite the troubles.

On the Cypriot bank run, don't even get me started on modern economics. :(

Hey Mands, I just saw the Cyprus situation on bbc news, just remembered what you had written here..ouchy..
I really hope things improve in Europe already - it makes me sad - and it's kind of scary too.

Hey Mands, I didn't realise you are in Cypress. We are watching what is happening over there. It must be scary to be living it.

Good luck with the business stuff.

Well done for continuing with your project and losing weight despite the stress regarding your financial situation.

I must admit that I thought that it was wrong to levy a charge on all the bank customer's deposits. It was never the saver that made the mistakes - they were down to the bank.

I do hope that things get sorted out soon - because it must be very difficult to have the banks staying shut like that.

Well done on the weight loss Mands!!!

Sounds like a pretty scary financial situation over there, can't imagine not having access to my own money. Hope it gets sorted- and quickly- for all the people affected!

So things over here in Cyprus are still pretty tense. People protesting and hectic queues at the ATMs. Hopefully by Monday this whole nightmare will be over. But I'm a very positive person in life and I'm sure the right solution will come up to save our little island.

So with the final weigh in yesterday I was 800grams of my first mini-goals. But joined the new challenge and I'm determined to reach my goal!!!

Haven't cheated yet but the last few days I'm dying for Nutella!!!:drooling:

And to top the week off my back up hard drive crashed before I could make another copy to dvds - ain't life grand!!

Haven't cheated yet but the last few days I'm dying for Nutella!!!:drooling:

I hear you - feel the same way about chocolate!!! I also bought healthy nutella :D - But i can't touch it until Easter!!!

Yay!! So pleased you joined the challenge too! :D

Hey Mands, can you not have a small amount of nutella to satisfy the cravings? Or do you demolish the whole container once the seal is broken? :)

I'm a believer in NOT making most things so taboo that I cannot have ANY.... it helps me avoid craving them and cheating later. Last night I had pizza.... AGAIN.... that's 2X in 2 weeks. But I ate a light pizza (low sodium, cheese, gluten free) and ate only 1 slice along with a big green salad and an apple. Today I lost weight in my weigh in, and I no longer crave pizza!

Good luck in the challenge!

Hi Mands, it sounds like you're doing a great job getting to your goal. Keep up the good work! I also agree with Don. If you can have just a bit of Nutella, go for it. A little bit surely won't hurt your weight loss efforts! :)

Mands, been following it on the news a bit. I hope things settle down in Cyprus. :/

Maybe you could have just a LITTLE bit of nutella?

Hey Guys, thanks for the pop in. I can't even have a bit of Nutella as it would break my chemical reaction in my body. The Cohen's diet is all about food that makes your serotonin, growth hormone and insulin in proper balance. The minute you eat something not on your plan it actually sets you back one week. So I can't afford or want to get set back a week. I chew on sugar free chewing gum if the cravings hit me.

Cyprus situation....we'll hear tomorrow what is the fate of this little island. And in other news :) I spend my entire weekend recovering photos that I deleted of my pc after my back up hard drive decided to crash. PANIC!!!:svengo::eek: But luckily I have got some powerful software to retrieve deleted files - It just takes forever as 1 wedding is like 20gig!!! But I recovered most files - PHEW!!!

Weight wise, got on the scale this morning and 90.4(199.2) - so only 400g to my first mini-goal.

This week will attempt to go for some light walks - need to get fit, need to get fit, need to get fit....

I hear you on the little bit of Nutella & applaud you for being so sensible. It is SO worth sticking to plan(36kg in 28wks for me) & so NOT worth wasting a week. Good for you sweetie & thank you for being so sweet to me in my diary. Mwah! xoxo Cate

Wow - you are really close to your mini- goal!!! Cheering you on

I hope the situations improves in Cyprus - fingers crossed!

Well done on recovering the pix!!

Have a good week sweetie!

I have been hearing lots about Cyprus as well. Like the others I hope things stabilize sooner rather than later.

Oh and YAY on being so close to the mini goal! That is fabulous! Also so glad to hear you recovered all of your files. I remember one time I lost 5,000 songs on my old computer...with no hope of retrieving. It was utterly depressing. Glad you are not doomed to that same fate!

Howdy from probably-the-most-popular-island-in-the-news!! Soooo a solution was agreed on and Cyprus is getting the bail out. Things are not all rosy and sunshine and a lot of bad stuff is going to happen whereby a lot of people are gonna lose their jobs and lots of people are going to lose a lot of money. However due to the fact that we don't have over 100000euros in the bank, we ok:hurray:

Weight wise 90.2 (198.8) - 200g from my mini-goal!!! Hopefully tomorrow morning my scale will have a surprise for me.

Thankful your island's issues are calming some. It must be hard to stay focused on health when so much around you is in turmoil.

VERY excited for your weigh-in tomorrow! All fingers and toes are crossed, hoping for a good day.
