My slimming journey

I also listen to podcasts and audio books while walking, it def helps pass the time. I sometimes have the rule that I can't listen unless its while exercising.
 
Been feeling a bit under the weather with my lower back ache and coccyx pain. So haven't updated here in 2 days.

Good news....wait for it...... I DID TREADMILL yesterday for 10 minutes!!!:party: Can you freakin believe it....I can't. And it's just all the inspiration that I got from this forum.

It wasn't easy but I got it done and then got a major cramp in my calf - really unfit. But huge sense of achievement that I actually did it. Today didn't get on as my lower back is up to its tricks again - hazard of being a photographer. Also I suffer very bad from coccyx pain and to my surprise, after googling it, it is my weight that is causing this severe pain. I sit a lot aswell due to the fact that I do a lot of editing in front of the pc after a wedding but I just thought it was all the sitting. Which it sort of is but its mainly due to the fact that all the weight is putting pressure on my coccyx when I sit. So this has made me even more determined to lose the weight.

I got a Voltaren injection tonight to prep for a maternity shoot tomorrow. So hopefully I will be able to bend.

Weight wise I'm standing still with absolutely no weight loss this week. Why, you may ask. I have no clue....but I'm not worried about it . I'm not cheating and thats the main thing.

Yay for the treadmill! You'll see every time you get on it, it will come easier - same for me. The first time I got on the elliptical I was ready to collapse after 10 mins. Now I can easily do an hour :) It will get better!!

That is FANTASTIC, Mands! Remember I got hit with a calf strain two weeks after starting the harder workouts... all is well now and I get around just fine. Take it easy and build into it and you'll be wearing that treadmill out in no time.

Maryann, I had no idea these tablets would cause fluid retention. I have been taking the entire week. Could they really stop my weight loss completely??

So yesterday we went for a 30 minute walk on the beach. It was divine!!

So seeing that I haven't lost ANYYYY weight this past week I need to step it up in the exercise department. It's quite disappointing when I have been strict with no cheating and nothing budges on the scale.

So next week hopefully it will go beter.

On the more positive side, we are absolutely enjoying Spring to the fullest. Love this time of the year before the monster heat hits us.

Hey Mands- don't worry - they dont' stop weight loss- they just "mask it"... they make your body retain fluid- but it is temporary - once you are off the tablets/the voltaren injection wears-off, the fluid will drop-off too...

Walk on the beach sounds lush! I miss living by the sea. (or any decent park really)

We are on the same page about excercize - I need to step it up too!!!
 
I hear you on eating well and not losing. I finally had a good week last week and ate within cals everyday and my scale said I GAINED 1.2 pounds!!
 
Hiya everyone!! Been MIA for a few days - just been so busy.

I finally got over my 8 day plateau!!!! I clocked in this morning at 93.5kg (206.1) thats a 12.5kg (27.55lbs) loss so far. Tomorrow I've been on my new journey 9 weeks already. Amazing how time flies and when I look back now, it actually hasn't been that hard. Sure I had to resist a lot of temptations but that was all worth it and easier than I thought it would be. I think sometimes when we start a diet or a new lifestyle change we see this long uphill road but actually its just a state of mind and it's actually easier than we think.

This week I'm going to strive for at least a 3kg weight loss!!! Bring it on!!!!
 
Great job, Mands! The very best thing to me about the plateaus is when we break through them... almost makes the heartache of being stuck there worthwhile.

As far as the ease of doing this and the state of mind.... man, is that ever the case for me. The battle is never about the food or the exercise, as that part I find pretty easy. It's maintaining a positive, clear-minded focus on mid and long term goals that I find difficult.

My mantra is always: "It's not about the destination, it's about the journey."

Hey well done on the loss!!! You remind me of me 2 years ago...(my starting weight was 106 kg - ugh)...I just read my diary 2 years ago..Anyway you are sooo enthusiastic! I love it - I hope you can lose those 3kg next week!! It's a lot though.
I am usually hoping for 3 lbs lol.

So my week didn't go as planned, clocked in at 93.7kg today. Wanted to reach 92.5. I think it's due to the fact that I've been drinking Voltaren tablets almost every day as I'm in agony with my back ache. I'm really disappointed with my weight loss the last 3 weeks. I NEED it to go quicker!!!!!!!:banghead:

Yesterday was Tsiknopempti here in Cyprus. It's Barbeque Thursday. If you want to read a bit more you can have a quick read on our blog . So we had lamb, pork and chicken with salad and potatoes and some other yummy greek dishes. However I had chicken and salad only as the rest is not allowed.

Feeling a bit under the weather today, only because of the constant pain in my back. And today for the first day in a very looooooong time I feel like just eating a gazillion chocolates! Maybe we should go walk on the beach so I can get rid of this feeling 'cause I absolutely REFUSE to break my diet!!!

OH and HAPPY WOMENS DAY ladies!!
