Ok maybe if i blog about it and keep a journal of it, it will finally stick! lol It being weight loss of course. It hasnt always been a struggle for me, back in High school i weighed 150 pounds and by the time i graduated college I weighed 110lbs and it was SO easy to lose the weight. Then as the years passed I slowly put it back on. My old work out routine didnt work anymore and neither did my eating habits.
In 2004 when i got my current job i was 117 pounds and i gained and gained and gained from there. Relationships, work, and lifes everyday trials swayed my once diligent work out efforts to a null. Up went the weight. The summer of 2007 i had a personal trainer and went to various work out classes and weighed a nicely fit & toned 140 pounds. I was actually happy there, and My friends said i was looking much better than i did at the 110lbs (which they then mentioned i looked way too thin.)
Now that i have gotten into a new relationship and my hours at work have been cut to part time over the past two years, I have no money for a personal trainer or a gym so i stopped working out and i acquired the eating habits of my boyfriend. He is a beast! he is all solid muscle, works out 3 hours a day at the gym AND trains Mixed Martial Arts 3 times a week and has competed on an amateur level. He grew up playing ever sport under the sun but was mostly a football player thru HS and College. SO he eats TONS of calories and pretty much anything he wants. I thought i could do the same...i was wrong! I gained 22 pounds and lost all my strength and toned muscle, UGH!
I recently join back up at the gym, my wonderful supportive boyfriend added me to his gym plan so its about $20 cheaper so i can afford it. I take a spinning class every night and i love it! And i have gone back to my calorie counting, healthy food habits and keeping a food journal. I am feeling great but i havent seen any results yet, i started two weeks ago. Of course i got sick and had to take antibiotics and also mother nature decided to give me her monthly gift early...i am hoping that with those two things factored in plus my body's adjustment to getting back into the grove is the reason why the scale hasnt budged. Next week will be a clean slate, no "monthly gift" and no antibiotics, i hope this effort takes. I want to lose the 22 pounds and get back to being more tone by my 10 year high school reunion at the end of November!
Thats it for now, i am going to def try and stick to writing a entry every week to track my progress. Wish me luck!
